| Jul 2022 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Low Tire WARNING light comes on even when there is no problem, because as I was told by my dealership, "The warning light comes on when it can actually be a reminder." Because of the WARNING I pulled over on a heavily traveled road way to look for a low tire. Dangerous not only to my self but other vehicles. "Warning" does not mean the same as "Reminder" and yet Honda has no way of distinguishing the difference. Do I keep driving ignore the warning light as it probably means nothing, and causing an accident because there was a real tire problem or pull into a possible unsafe area, to check? | Jul 2022 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 2019 Honda CRV, 37,000 miles. Vehicle applied the Automatic Emergency Braking system while it was IN MOTION at about 30-35 mph. No one was behind me; thankfully, but this could have been a SERIOUS ISSUE if someone was. I drive two small children in this vehicle on a daily basis. I was stunned and scared when the brakes engaged with no warning at such a speed with no obstructions in sight. This was a down hill straight road and no cars parked on either side of the road. Upon googling the issue, I came across the information that this was not a random fluke, but a known safety issues with my year, make and model. I have reported this incident to the dealership (Brandfon Honda, Branford, Connecticut) to Honda Motor Corporation headquarters and here to the NHTSA. I am hoping for a swift review and resolution of this issue. | Jul 2022 | SUSPENSION | I started hearing a roaring noise coming from the tires of my 2019 Honda CRV, so I made an appointment and returned the car to the auto dealership, who pretended like they didn't hear anything or see anything. I went for a second opinion at another Honda dealer, who then stated my tires are cupping. This is the second set of tires to replace in less than 3 years! The first set that cam with the car where Hancock Kinergy Tires, only lasted 29K miles! Now am on the second set Perilli Scorpion Tires and her we go again at 30K miles and my tires need replacing. I am now being told the issue is with the Suspenion on the car. It must be fixed or else I will continue to replace tires every 30K miles. I live in the real world and I don't have money to fix a manufacture defect nor do I have money to keep buying tires every other year. This occurred sporadically over a three month period but became more pronounced the last month prior to taking the vehicle to the dealership. Dealership discovered the issue was the electric power steering (EPS) had failed. This occurred 3 months after 36 month warranty had expired and 3,000 miles over the mileage limit. No warning light was displayed when issues occurred. Diagnostics was performed by dealer and fault code 32xx thru 34xx confirmed the problem was the EPS control unit. Had the unit replaced due to safety concerns when driving with family. Because of the electric system there was no way to conduct preventative maintenance. When I touched the accelerator my accelerated very quickly in and removed my foot from the pedal. The engine continued to rev even though my foot was on the break. I was not seriously injured. TOLD THEM I WAS UNDER WARRANTY WITH FULL COVERAGE, DIDNT MATTER. THEY ASKED IF CAR WAS RUNNING OK AND I REPLY YES. BUT ALITTLE CONCERNING TO HAVE ALL LIGHTS FLASHING AT SAME TIME. NEEDLESS TO SAY ONCE AGAIN LIGHTS CAME ON A MONTH LATER SAME THING WITH DEALER MAKE APPOINTMENT. | Jun 2022 | WHEELS | My tire pressure light has gone on 10 plus times in the last year and I think only 3 times my tire was actually low on air. This is a safety feature because you need your tires to drive. The dealer has advised they can’t find an issue with the sensor etc and keeps telling me it’s the tread etc and wants to show me how to recalibrate the system. I worry every time I get into the car that the light is going to go on and hear a binging sound. It’s very nerve wracking because I only have just shy of 34k miles on the car and it continues to happen. If I ignored it and turned out there was a flat then I cause more damage to the vehicle.
