Nov 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Our Vehicle 2019 Honda CRV with VIN: purchased in October 2019 had issues related to NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 21V215000 at approx. 24K miles but the VIN was not in the list of vehicles with recall. Vehicle would stop after backing up from parking in the middle of the road with new battery and plenty of gas. This would happen with hot engine and you would see all sensor warnings on the dashboard. Car would not start after jumpstart with california AAA checked battery and starter. At first doing computer reset by disconnecting battery waiting 5 mins and reconnecting would work. The dealer service cannot reproduce the issue. After one month the issue appeared again and new service shop got the code P0087 consistent with the recall. We believe many more vehicles are affected by the CAMPAIGN ID: 21V215000 but not listed under the recall. Recall initially had 640.000 vehicles why were some of the vin's from 2019 not listed please investigate with Honda. This was low pressure fuel pump issue and the vehicle is fine after the third party shop replaced the part.

Nov 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Earlier this morning, while driving in stop-and-go traffic, I attempted to accelerate once traffic ahead of me had cleared. There was no car, obstruction, etc., in front of my car for at least one car length, if not more. As I accelerated, the CMBS system suddenly kicked in, flashing BRAKE on my dash and applying the brake. My car came to a complete stop. Luckily, the person behind me had started up slowly and did NOT rear end me. I could not say with complete confidence how fast I was going, I had accelerated to maybe 10-20 mph before the issue occurred. I have not seen a dealer or service center since the incident and there was no police or insurance representatives engaged (as thankfully there was no accident).

Oct 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Car slams on brakes by itself. Once with large metal plate used for construction. Going about 40-45mph. Another time when someone turned completely and it slammed on the brakes nowhere near a vehicle.

Oct 2023 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While driving on the highway (left lane), my car braked itself (while going ~70 mph). The brakes then wouldn’t release for about half a minute. I was very lucky that no one rear ended me, and it was very scary. The sensor has sometimes warned me to brake, even when there isn’t anything in front of me. However, this is the first time the car stopped itself.

Oct 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I was driving and randomly , even though there was no imminent danger , the brake warning light flashed across my dashboard and immediately the car automatically slammed down on the brake even though my foot was not on the pedal. Luckily the person behind me did not collide into me. This is the second time it has happened in one week. I take my car to the Honda dealership tomorrow.

Oct 2023 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On two separate occasions, the car shut off shortly after the car was turned on. After the first occasion, we thought it was a battery problem and called AAA. They said the battery was in good condition ( it was replaced in 3.2023) and the car turned on after a jump start. Several weeks later the same thing happened and the car would not turn on even after a jump start. I had the car towed to a local auto store where they told us the work up showed a P0087 error - low fuel pressure. This was a felt to be an issue with the fuel pump and recommended we take the car to Honda as this was supposed to be under recall for CRVs from 2018 and 2019. We towed the car to Honda and they confirmed it was fuel pump issue but our car VIN was NOT associated with the current recall. The dealership and Honda Corporate ultimately refused to cover the cost of repair/replacement of fuel pump as they said our vehicle is currently not under the recall despite the fact that our Honda CRV is also from 2019. I am filing this complaint to notify NTHSB of the issue we had and whether our vehicle and potentially other vehicles would need to be included in the current recall.

Oct 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE This was a recurrence of the incident that occurred approximately two months ago and was assigned Tracking No. 11536519. Same thing occurred--traveling on paved street in town at 35 mph with no traffic ahead or behind--AEB or Forward Collision Avoidance system engaged for no apparent reason.

Oct 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Two issues are going on and have been going on since I have had the vehicle: 1. The car will spontaneously brake HARD when going down the road with no particular reason. It most frequently happens on the highway and it happens sporadically so it is difficult to replicate. I see it often but not all the time when crossing under an overpass or going off on an exit. The amount of brake use varies as well, sometimes just a tap and sometimes quite significant, losing 20-30 mph in seconds. 2. The infotainment system goes on the blink. Often starts with the brightness setting flashing up on the screen when nothing has been touched. Then it will go away, then brightness will blink back up, then the whole screen is useless / frozen or just disappears all together. I have a few videos of this. The ONLY way to get it to work again is by stopping the car, turning it off and restarting it. This obviously is not possible at certain times and can be really difficult to deal with when going through a big city and relying on the map to help you navigate both roads and traffic (like when it happened on the George Washington Bridge in NYC).

Sep 2023 FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 25-30 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and lost motive power. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.

Sep 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I purchased my 2019 Honda Crv exl brand new. There is a history of fuel injectors problems. All of my dashboard lights come on all the time. It may go off for a few hours then come back on again. Honda knows of this problem. It is a manufacturer defect. I went to Honda to price the charge. I want to charge 2000 dollars to replace the fuel injectors. Honda should take responsibility and replace this part. It is a safety hazard for my waning lights not work because of the fuel injectors. Plus Honda is trying to make money off of this.

Sep 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The fuel pump failed, causing the vehicle to lose power while I was on the highway. According to my mechanic, it appeared to be the same issue that affected other 2019 Honda CRVs which were recalled, but which did not cover my specific VIN.

Sep 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While driving at speed (about 45 mph) in moving traffic. The nearest car in front was a out 4-5 car lengths ahead. Without warning the Auto-Breaking system activated and immediately slammed on the breaks to slow the car losing about 20 mph before I was able to press on the gas to get it going again. I had to accelerate very quickly to avoid being hit from the rear as there was no reason for the car to brake and so no other vehicles on the road were slowing as all traffic was moving together through an intersection. There was a slight bump in the road as there is in intersections of crossing multi lane roads, but nothing that would require a normal slowdown. The weather was clear... no rain or fog or dust etc. This was unsafe for there was no reason for the car to brake. This made it all the more startling. Also it was dangerous because it put me at risk for a rear end impact since again there was nothing to require a breaking action no objects or slowing traffic ahead. There were no specific warnings or issues beforehand as for this system. The car has had its "radar / optical" based systems error message pop up saying the system was inoperative, but this was during rainy driving on somewhat dirty roads, so it was assumed this inop-mode was due to debris on the external sensors ... however as stated during the auto breaking incident it was a clear day with no weather. We have not reported this to the dealer yet but will mention it next service. No outside agencies have inspected the car at this time since we did not get into an accident however that was very possible if someone was not paying attention behind me.

Sep 2023 AIR BAGS When the car turns on, the message of “passenger air bag off”. I weigh over 100 pounds and sit properly. When the car was under warranty, I took the car to the dealer for this air bag problem. After waiting over 3 hours, I was told to come back and the part was not available. I thought there was a switch to turn on air bags, but I left the dealer in Avondale, AZ and went home. The problem continues.

Sep 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE As I was driving the vehicle suddenly braked to a complete stop in the middle of a street as I was crossing railroad tracks. I was at significant risk of being rear-ended as the car came to a complete stop without notice; there’s also risk of being run over by the train as I was stopped in the middle of the train tracks.

Sep 2023 SEATS My friend reached under the driver seat and felt a bolt under it. Turns out, it was one of the 4 bolts that holds the seats frame to the car. This was the right front bolt and it completely fell out! I checked the other 3 bolts still in, but the left front was also significantly loose! I had to get an Allen wrench and bolt them back in and tighten them! The passenger seat bolts were still in but also very loose! This is dangerous if I was in an accident my front seat bolts weren't tight and one was completely out, only holding the seat in 3 of 4 places!

Sep 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Vehicles harness leading to auto dimming rear view mirror was defective and a wire split rendering all my braking capability. The ABS system felt like it was reversing the brakes EVERYTIME I stepped on the pedal. I hit my garage door because of this: Honda wanted me to pay to fix the wire because "I had a handicap plate that probably broke the wire" yet I never put my handicap placard on my mirror but rather on my dashboard. My brakes are electronically controlled due to it having an electric brake booster and AEB, radar cruise control and more. I could have been killed. HONDA DIDNT CARE, made me take the car with no brakes.

Sep 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM While driving the SUV and series of warning lights started going off all at the same time. I took the SUV to Honda dealership and they ran diagnostics and said that all SIX fuel injectors needed to be replaced. Said it was a common problem they we seeing in this make and model of SUV. The faulty fuel injectors was causing fuel pressure problems which sets off all the warning lights is how it was explained to me. Due to the widespread problem with the fuel injectors there was a backlog and wait time of 6 months to order new fuel injectors and replace them. I am just outside of the warranty for the SUV and I went through Honda for Goodwill Assistance. Honda said I was a good candidate to receive because of the low mileage. After many weeks they denied my Goodwill Assistance request and Honda stated they only do Recalls when NHTSA requires them to do a Recall. Please look into faulty fuel injectors because when all the warning lights come on then I loose some of the safety features that come with this SUV. I will be more than willing to provide any other information to prove there's a known and widespread problem with this SUV's fuel injectors. I respectfully request it's investigated and Honda is required to do a Recall. Thank you. There are 11 warning lights that come on, I have provided pictures of a few but listed here are all of them: Electric Parking Brake Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor Problem, Emissions System Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Power Steering System (EPS) Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem.
