Nov 2021 POWER TRAIN Transmission make erratic gear changes at highway speeds from 10th gear to 2nd gear just for a split second then back to 10th. no warning. Loss of gas pedal in passing lane to overtake a slower vehicle throttle does not respond you have to fall back try to get back in right lane until the computer decides to give you back control usually about 20 sec. Also pushes transmission fluid out of vent tube on transmission.

Nov 2021 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Recent oil analysis(mid October 2021) indicates a greater than 5% fuel dilution. The Cummins ASTM method of testing only permits a greater than 5% statement so fuel dilution could be much higher. First sample a year ago indicated 3% dilution. Many factors could contribute to this per research and I had advised Ford dealer with printed reports and they would not do anything at all about this stating it is standard. Oil report indicates a "severe" issue. Ford dealer wouldn't even look into possible causes to rule out. I have concern for a possible engine compartment fire/explosion might happen or possible degradation of engine leading to other possible incidents. Reports and vehicle are available. No indicator lamps or other means to know of this issue without independent testing of oil samples. Fuel mileage is averaging 17MPG.

Nov 2021 ENGINE Cam phasers - after the Ford dealership applied recall 21B10, the engine will shut off at undesirable times, causing a stall and making driving unsafe. This is in addition to serious knocking at engine start, and additional shudder during normal driving conditions and while idling. This recall repair has made things much worse and should be avoided.

Oct 2021 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Found significant MOLD (toxic mold) all over passenger side floorboard area, under the carpet and throughout the padding, after increasing moldy/mildew smell. This is a "direct result" of a bad design (i.e. AC drain tube), where condensation flows back into the vehicle without Consumer/Owner knowledge. Technical Service Bulletin 19-2345. RESULT: Consumers spend thousands of hours in a small contained cabin breathing-in toxic mold spores. I've been to the Doctor multiple times with headaches and flu-like symptoms, thinking it's COVID, and always testing negative. AND now it makes sense, symptoms occurred when driving and afterwards. FORD IS AWARE OF THIS. NHTSA is aware of this? WHY ARE CONSUMERS NOT PROACTIVELY TOLD ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THIS CAN KILL PEOPLE! AND MANY ARE LIKELY SICK OR GOING TO GET SICK! PLEASE INVESTIGATE BEFORE MORE PEOPLE ARE HURT FROM TOXIC MOLD POISONING.

Oct 2021 POWER TRAIN While traveling down road at 50MPH, vehicle suddenly lost power and would not respond to inputs from accelerator narrowly avoiding being rear-ended by following traffic. Transmission shift irregularities have plagued my vehicle since the beginning as it hesitates to shift then shifts hard causing whiplash like effect. Other times it randomly downshifts and will not respond to throttle inputs, creating an unsafe driving condition. In addition it will surge/lurch ahead without throttle input causing the need to break to avoid collisions. The vehicle currently has 12,227 miles on the odometer, owned for 18 months, purchased new. Has been brought into service on three separate occasions for this issue just in the last 7 months. Transmission is now being replaced as Ford can not determine the cause of the transmission failure. Class action lawsuit of this 10R80 transmission is currently pending. The NHTSA should get involved before someone is injured or killed. My wife or child will not ride in the vehicle as this transmission renders the vehicle unsafe.

Oct 2021 POWER TRAIN 10 speed transmission has trouble shifting in most gears and has become a safety issue in traffic. I have taken the truck back to the dealer once already and they made the problem worse. I am attempting to get the truck back to the dealer again. I have found many complaints and articles about F150's with the 10 speed transmission having issues. In fact, I've read there are class action lawsuits against Ford for issues with their 10 speed transmission. To date, my dealership has not acknowledged there is an issue with the transmission.

Sep 2021 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated he was unable to hang up phone calls while the phone was connected to the vehicle through the USB cable. The contact stated the issue was distracting as he would need to take his eyes off the road to disconnect the phone to the vehicle in order to hang up the call. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the vehicle software had failed, however they could not repair the issue as the vehicle software was ran by the manufacturer. The dealer advised the contact to stop using the USB cable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 92,000.

Aug 2021 UNKNOWN OR OTHER After the vehicle has been parked overnight. I reverse out of my driveway, stop, shift to drive, drive about .75 miles to a stop sign. Turn left and go about 1 mile to another stop sign, as the truck is close to stopping for this second stop sign, the engine turns off and I lose power steering. The dash shows this message: "Auto StartStop Shift to P, then Restart Engine". I have to push on the brakes, shift the truck to park, and then crank the key to restart the truck. This happens whether the auto start/stop is enabled or disabled. It has happened several times at the exact same stop sign right before I come to a complete stop. It is happening more frequently.

Aug 2021 POWER TRAIN The vehicle has a 10 speed transmission. the transmission does not shift correctly, stalls between gears which causes a safety issue for persons driving behind my vehicle, also in intersections and merging into highway traffic. there are no warnings, no dash lights. The transmission simply does not shift. Manufacturer has not been able to correct the issue. This is a low mileage truck, 13,000 miles, it's truly a dangerous situation

Jul 2021 POWER TRAIN,SEATS,ENGINE seat back with an improperly assembled recliner mechanism not adequately restrain The recliner mechanisms may be missing the third pawl required for seat back strength, resulting in a loose seat Transmission shifts extremely hard. It clunks most of the time when I turn the vehicle on. Often, when I shift from park to drive the trunk lurches forward even with my foot pressed down all the way on the break. It's in the ford dealer right now and all they can find is low transmission fluid. Although I've never had a warning light or anything on before. dropping from 10th gear to 5th gear when cruise is set and accelerator is pressed Truck will set advanced traction control warning off and slam so hard into 5th gear you are destructed looking to see if you were in a accident.. I have videos that were provided to Ford Motor Company and have had in 2 Ford dealership s 3 times for repairs.Ford Motor Company has 2 engineer cases opened on truck the second case they told dealership it was my fault with the abrupt shifting slamming and traction control warning at 72 mph on interstate. Ford refuses to address the safety issue. It is a hazard to me and passengers in my vehicle as well as the motoring public. Ford motor company has been notified they can assume liability if I am in a accident and someone is injured due to their negligence or refusal to fix defect. Truck has had issues since around 3500 on the odometer it now has 16,567 miles currently. This as well as any other erratic shifting complaints with said 10R180 should be fully investigated and taken seriously because it will and I am sure has contributed to crashes!!!! The vehicle has the technology package which allows you to start /stop the vehicle with an app in your phone. I assume the motor has bluetooth attached to it. The problem is that when your driving the vehicle will just shut down. Once this happens you have to stop the vehicle, put it in park, and restart the engine.

Jul 2021 POWER TRAIN The truck started hesitating with acceleration at times, shifting hard in low gears and high gears often. Took it in and pcm update was done issue is still the the very next day I started driving it again. This all started around 20000 miles or so. Going to take it back again for same issue of hard shifting at low speeds and now the steering wheel shakes at speeds between 20-25 mph. Frustrating to pay over $60,000 for a new vehicle and have issues within 20,000 miles and I have been only a Ford owner for over 15 years.

Jul 2021 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I have a 2019 Ford F150 XLT. The vehicle has the technology package which allows you to start /stop the vehicle with an app in your phone. I assume the motor has bluetooth attached to it. The problem is that when your driving the vehicle will just shut down. Once this happens you have to stop the vehicle, put it in park, and restart the engine. There is usually not a problem restarting the engine. However, this creates a immense safety issue when your on the interstate and your vehicle stops. Another issue is that it doesnt happen all the time. I would estimate 3-6 times a month. And there are no codes illuminated to identify the problem.

Jun 2021 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The collision warning appears random and not even close to a vehicle. I’m Alamo experience problems with the power train (truck jerks) and not other problems. I have been having the same problems since 2020. My truck is at the dealership and now Ford engineers are involved because the trucks has multiple codes and unable to figure out the problem. My truck has been at the dealership since May 17-June 1st and June 7 to current.

Jun 2021 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The transmission seems to slip or not engage at all on several occasions. Today it stalled and left me with no throttle in middle of traffic then quickly engaged in gear . There is constant and irratic shifting unless throttle is aggressively pushed seems this issue will eventually cause car accident for me or others experiencing same issues . I was almost rear ended as a result of issue .
