| Sep 2022 | STEERING,ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) | The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that after the vehicle had been idle, the contact attempted to accelerate and the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The service power steering and the ESC warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and notified of the failure however, the vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 40,000 |
| Sep 2022 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Unknown | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2022 | POWER TRAIN | starting at about 10,000 miles I brought my vehicle in for service for a chirping noise from the left front axle area. I was told that they couldn't replicate the issue so I went for a drive with the service technician at the dealer. The noise was able to be replicated at that time and the dealer said that there is a service bulletin for that issue but they don't have a resolution for it from GM at that time. The noise is still evident and there is still no fix for it from the dealer. Not sure if this could become a safety issue further on down the road but with close to 60k miles on the vehicle now and the same noise still evident you'd think GM would have addressed it by now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2022 | POWER TRAIN | I have had issues with the transmission of my 2019 Silverado RST since about 25,000 mile. I've had the vehicle in for service of the transmission multiple times and the issue is still unresolved. The vehicle will hard shift into second gear and downshift into different gears intermittently. I've followed through with all the maintenance that is required since I've owned this vehicle at the dealer level only. They've been the ones to recommend the maintenance items due to mileage. This includes the replacement of the trans fluid as well as the rear differential fluids. This problem is only getting worse now and it seems that GM is having dealers push these problems far enough without resolution that the owner would be outside the original power train warranty of the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2022 | ENGINE | My Truck has less than 35,000 miles and I've had Transmission issues. I've taken it to the Dealership and they don't have an answer to the problem other than changing the transmission fluid as that has resolved issues on other trucks. When I took it in, I would shift it out of park to drive it jerks, when I shift from drive to reverse, it jerks, when I shift from reverse back to drive it jerks. When I'm slowing down at a stop sign or stop light it shifts weird. I've been getting on a busy highway and accelerated and it downshifted so hard and kind of stalled, I swear took it at least 5 seconds to catch up and gain speed. I don't want to be on the HWY and my truck stall because no one knows what's going on or how to fix it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2022 | POWER TRAIN | The truck at times and getting more frequent will at times jerk when downshifting and at times will be so bad it feels like you were rear ended. Had an issue 2 weeks ago this happened and the service engine light and anti skid light came on the interstate on ramp. The truck would not accelerate. I had to pull over, shut truck off for a couple minutes for computer to reset. Anti skid light went off but service engine light stayed on for several more days. Called dealership and service writer said down shift problems are normal, it's a learning feature. Truck has 52000 miles should have learned by now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2022 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | While traveling at 35mph engine oil cooler line failed. Got a warning chime and message saying “Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle off”. Had car towed to the dealership and upon inspection found the line had completely separated from the hose. This seems to be an ongoing problem that is not being resolved for the lower 48 states. Could result in catastrophic engine failure, fire, or an accident for anyone making a sudden stop in traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | STRUCTURE | The frame of the vehicle has significant rust through. I attempted to go through warranty claim and they denied it and said it was normal. I took it to a body shop who advised that this should not be happening and they recommended a full frame replacement and they advised the rust would spread. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Noticeable ticking noise started coming form the engine, upon further inspection it was the lifters that was causing the noise. DFM, AFM the truck is out of warranty at 76,000 mi. So i got a second opinion from another shop and got it fixed through them, not the dealer. My shop re surfaced the Heads and went a few steps further than the dealer would have done. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Started truck had several warnings for Service ESC, Traction control, service 4wheel drive and parking brake would not release | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2022 | EQUIPMENT | The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 used to tow a dual axle boat trailer. The trailer manufacturer was Trailstar International Inc, Model: Tracker Marine. The contact stated that the rear wheel bearings exploded and fractured the hub housing. The contact stated that the failure occurred while driving approximately 65 MPH. The contact was able to drive the trailer safely to his residence. The contact stated there was a recall for the failure that was experienced; however, for another year trailer. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 30,000 |
| Jul 2022 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 that has been well taken care of. I got into my truck and went to start it and a bunch of warning lights appeared stating brake system failure, service ESC, traction control off and 4WD off. The check engine light also came on with multiple other warning lights. I had a family member jump my truck and I was able to make it home. I hooked it up to my code reader and it showed- P25A2 Brake System Control Module 1. This has been a known issue and has been recalled twice for about 550,000 of the 2019 Silverado 1500, but my VIN isn’t included, even though it’s clearly having the same issue. The fix is to have the brake system reprogrammed by the dealership. Since my VIN isn’t listed I’m not getting any help with the issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2022 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact's fiancé owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 65 MPH, the vehicle independently stopped with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The transmission resumed normal operation soon after the failure before failing again. The contact later discovered that an Over-The-Air (OTA) software update was performed on the vehicle without the owner’s knowledge. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where another software update for the brake control module was performed. The failure occurred for a second time as the contact's fiancé was driving again at 65 MPH; however, he managed to drive the vehicle home despite the repeated failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and her fiancé was offered a gift certificate for his next oil change. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 52,000 |
| Jun 2022 | POWER TRAIN | Silverado is telling me to shift my truck into Park, when the truck is actually already in Park. This does not allow me to physically turn the ignition off on my truck, forcing me to start and shut off my truck multiple times. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2022 | AIR BAGS,SEAT BELTS | The seatbelts and airbags did not engage when vehicle was involved in serious accident. Seatbelts we’re on but did not lock up and airbags never deployed. Vehicle is in a body shop in Mexico. Serious spinal and hip injury made worse due to these components mail functioning. Vehicle is still in Mexico while insurance company drags their feet so they don’t have to pay. Vehicle has only been towed and not examined while it just sits there waiting for insurance company to do something. There was a police report made and I’m unaware if insurance folks have looked at vehicle as They won’t talk to us. There were no warning systems prior to incident. Why would a person even think their seatbelts and airbags weren’t going to work?? | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 2 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |

| May 2022 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT | Recurring blackouts of IOR 7-inch in-dash Infotainment System, ranging from minutes to hours, which render access to vehicle controls, audio/radio, and safety features inoperative, including OnStar, vehicle navigation, backup camera, and other features. Additionally, without warning, radio has unexpected and sudden spikes in maximum volume even when powered down. After repeated repair attempts, Manufacturer has attempted to place blame on incompatible iPhones and non-OEM cables used to connect, but the issues occur even when no cellular telephones are connected through either USB or Bluetooth. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2022 | SERVICE BRAKES | I had to use my brakes hard because someone pulled in front of me. It drove fine for 10 miles afterwards on the interstate. I parked and turned the truck off but when I returned and turned the truck on the dash read ABS , Traction Control, EBS need service or failed as well as 43 miles per hour maximum speed. The power brakes do not work and the truck will not drive more then 43 mph. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2022 | POWER TRAIN | Hello, I am having issues with my 2019 Chevy Silverado's transmission. When I go to drive it, sometimes coming out of first gear I will have hard shifting. The shifting is to intense that I have to let off of the gas, so my truck and idol down. This is a big issue when I am in heavy traffic, with a rick of being hit by other cars traveling faster. I have told my dealership about this multiple times and the last time I talked with them about this. I had them flush my transmission, thinking that would help. After that was done, the service manger told me. The way my transmission is shift is standard GM operation. Sometimes I will have a warning lamp come up. The fault code is "lost communication with transmission". | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2022 | TIRES | Front Driver Side tire has tread separation, down to the cord. Manufacturer Date code 1619, mold 418570. One week later was recalled for tread separation, but the dealer told me this is not covered under bumper to bumper warranty as they claim it's from road damage, but it was not. Had to have it replaced. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2022 | STEERING,POWER TRAIN | ON THE DASH DISPLAY WHEN SHUTTING THE VEHICLE DOWN STATES "SHIFT TO PARK" AND WILL NOT POWER DOWN UNLESS YOU CONSTATNTLY MOVE THE VEHICLE BACKWARDS AND FORWARD MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE IT POWERS DOWN. THIS WAS REPLICATED AT THE DEALER AND THE SHIFT ASSY WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY IN 1/21 BUT NOW 3/22 IT IS DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. DEALER CONTACTED SAYS OUT OF WARRANTY CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE CASE # 9-7518724528 AND WAITING ON GM'S POSITION AT THIS POINT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY GM PRODUCTS PER THE INTERNET AND IF IT IS NOT SHIFTING TO PARK BECOMES A SAFETY ISSUE GM HAS SERVICE BULLETINS LISTED ON ALLDATA BUT NO RECALLS AT THIS TIME | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2022 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the warning message "low oil turn off vehicle" had displayed. The vehicle was parked and upon inspection it was discovered that no engine oil was present on the engine oil dipstick and there was an oil leak underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine oil cooler line crimp had detached. The vehicle was repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000 | Crash: No Fire: No | 42,000 |
| Mar 2022 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Today March 25 2022 around 07:20 driving to work, the passenger side stationary panel of a 3 panel sliding window exploded with a loud noise. The window is totally shattered, but stayed in place. Little cubed glass is starting to fall from around the bottom edge. A month ago, I had experienced a crackling arcing sound coming from the defrost on that same panel. I took it into Quirk Chevrolet, Manchester NH to have it looked at. they stopped the arcing and released the vehicle back to me and fixed under "service bulletin". I am finding many other individuals experiencing this same exploding glass issue. There is a bulletin out concerning this particular model and yr truck for sliding glass window defroster overheating issues. I am hearing that the dealer is not addressing this as an issue and not remedying this under warranty. I have only 28500 miles on the truck. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
