We were unable to operate the truck or even put in neutral to move off the road. We had our children in the truck with us and it was a miracle we weren’t in an accident. We shut down the highway for hours waiting for a tow truck. We were charged $930 to tow to the nearest dealership.We paid out of pocket and have not been reimbursed. There have been multiple recalls on this vehicle. There are currently two open recalls one has been open since June 2022 with still no remedy available. I don’t feel safe driving my children in this vehicle. There needs to be a remedy soon before something happens. This oozing has caused the touchscreen to have a mind of its own and begin calling people, turning cameras on, adjust vehicle settings included in the uconnect package. The touchscreen cant be shut off and continues to make changes as your driving. Today the vehicle began calling telephone numbers and hanging up, switching between radio, backup camera, telephone etc etc etc. As i continually attempted to stop the chaos I nearly had a headon collision. This is a well known issue with this touch screen and Im shocked that nothing has been done to force a recall or correction from RAM. This has been an ongoing issue. It use to just change the channel on the radio. Now its turned into a more serious issue where someone can be killed. It felt as though the wheels turn when this happened and the steering wheel wouldn’t move. This caused a loss of control and the vehicle left the road coming to rest in the ditch.
