May 2026 VISIBILITY Dear Nissan Consumer Affairs, I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue involving my Nissan vehicle and to request full reimbursement for the repair costs I incurred as a result. On [XXX], I discovered that the rear window of my vehicle had unexpectedly shattered without any collision, impact, vandalism, or other outside force. The glass remained in place initially despite being shattered. However, when I closed the vehicle door under normal conditions, the entire rear window collapsed and fell inward. The force of simply closing the door should not cause a properly functioning rear window to fail. At no time was the vehicle involved in an accident, struck by debris, or subjected to any unusual conditions that would explain the damage. The spontaneous shattering and subsequent collapse of the glass strongly suggest a defect in the window, its installation, or another manufacturing-related issue. This incident created a significant safety hazard and could have resulted in injury to passengers. Vehicle glass is expected to withstand ordinary use, including the routine opening and closing of vehicle doors. Because this failure occurred through no fault of my own, I do not believe I should be responsible for the cost of repairs. Vehicle Information: Year: 2025 Model: Nissan Rogue VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 14,769 I respectfully request that Nissan investigate this matter and provide full reimbursement for all repair and replacement costs that will be associated with this failure. I have photographs of the shattered glass, repair documentation, and receipts available for review. I would appreciate a written response within 14 business days outlining Nissan’s position and the next steps toward resolving this matter. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious safety concern. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 VISIBILITY Was driving up the interstate to work this morning. Before i got to my exit my rear window exploded. This was a huge safety risk as the noise alone caused me to jump and almost veer into a car in the lane beside me which created risk for myself, my dog and others in the vehicles beside and around me. I called Nissan today and was told i had to file it on my insurance. I did call Highway Patrol and have a report issued and there was no sign of damage on what was actually left remaining in the rear hatch. There were no warning lights or errors prior to the incident, and the vehicle just had a State Inspection less that 6 months ago. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 VISIBILITY,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Constant forward driving aids disabled due to blocked camera. Has been to the dealer on 6/11/25 7/16/25, 8/7/25 and was scheduled to go back tomorrow for the same issue as well as recall repair and oil change. That was cancelled due to the rear window blowing out this morning and having to have it repaired before driving in all the rain we are having. The "Forward Driving Aids disabled due to blocked camera" appears ALOT and i do get out and check the camera and there is nothing. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown

The contact stated that she felt dizzy immediately after incident and sat down in the vehicle to regain composure. The contact iced the bump on the back of her head and sustained a headache due to the failure. The contact did not seek medical attention. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the mechanic experienced the failure first hand upon inspection of the vehicle. The mechanic could not diagnose the cause of the failure and could not repair the vehicle. The contact later received a text message from the dealer that informed her that there was a recall(recall unknown) on the vehicle to address the failure; however, her vehicle's VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

May 2026 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Vehicle could not brake. The abs brakes did not function and forward collission warning did not go on causing a collission with another car that cut in front of car. This caused collission, airbags to deploy and car is totaled. Driver and passenger were injured due to crash and air bag deployment. On the day of crash I received a warning in my app requesting I have my abs checked at dealer because abs brakes might not function properly from Nissan.

May 2026 VISIBILITY Nissan has a known “glass blowing up” issue. Yesterday I was a victim to this. I am a new mom, thank god my baby was not with me. This could have cut her, she is rear facing so the glass would have definitely hit her. There was glass in the back seat, and probably all over my car. I fear for my safety and my child’s safety if glass can just explode in my car without any kind of outside influence.

May 2026 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On March 25th the dealership said our car was on a recall for R25E2 the dealership performed the ECM software update fix at this time. On April 30th 2026 the engine suffered catastophic failure. The heat stopped working the car was not showing hot the dial was at 1/4 it is usually at 1/2. The oil light flashed my husband lost power steering and it died at a 4 way stop. There was so much white smoke coming out the tailpipe he thought it was going to catch fire. The dealership is saying the car is not under the recall because they "fixed" the software. There were no warning lights or anything the only warning was the heat not working. He only made it 8 miles past out house before this happened. The software failed to protect the hardware from the safety defect. The dealership said the head gasket blew from overheating but they are saying it is not the recall they dont know the reason even though my husband and I have stated our car was affected by this recall or they would not have completed the ECM software update which clearly is a failed remedy. January of 2026 The front radar sensor bracket is deformed/bent causing forward collision avoidance system to completley fail. Despite no impact damage to the front bumper, the dealer and third party warranty are denying the claim as an accident. This failure occured during the january ice storm in Georgia Nissan TSB NTB23-011C identifies ice build up behind the fascia as a cause for bracket deformation. This is a known design flasw that disables the safety systems including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, forward collison warning and automatic emergency braking. My car only has 46,000 miles all of these systems should not be failing.

Apr 2026 VISIBILITY I am unsure exactly what happened, I was driving and heard a pop look up and rear windshield was shattered, no impact, crash, and/or hit with an object. Once I looked at the window I noticed that it exploded around the window if following the contour of the shape. This was extremely weird, sudden, and dangerous especially considering I was driving on the highway, I tried emailing Nissan, however, in return I was only sent a discount coupon for floor mats. This is concerning and I have to pay $500 for a new window but I do not want to have to repeat this scenario

Apr 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I am reporting an issue related to a safety recall involving the electronic throttle system on my 2025 Nissan. I scheduled two separate service appointments with Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa (San Diego, CA) to have this recall addressed, and in both cases, the dealership failed to inspect or service the vehicle on the scheduled day. First appointment – March 6 at 8:45 AM: I dropped off my vehicle at the scheduled time and left it at the dealership for the entire day. I arranged transportation home at my own expense. At approximately 4:00 PM—over 7 hours later—I was contacted and informed that the dealership’s computers were down and that my vehicle had not been inspected at all. No prior notice was given, and the vehicle remained untouched for the entire duration of the appointment. Second appointment – April 8 at 2:30 PM: I scheduled a second appointment and again arranged my schedule to bring the vehicle in. Upon arrival at the scheduled appointment time, I was informed that the vehicle would not be inspected that day and would need to remain overnight before any evaluation could begin. In both cases, despite having scheduled appointments and leaving the vehicle in their possession for extended periods, the dealership did not perform even a basic inspection related to a safety recall. The recall notice indicated that the repair would take approximately one hour. Instead, I lost two workdays and incurred out-of-pocket transportation expenses without any progress on a safety-related issue. This raises concerns about the dealership’s handling of manufacturer safety recalls and the delay in addressing a potentially safety-critical defect.

Apr 2026 ENGINE Good day, I am writing to formally raise and escalate a serious concern regarding the vehicle I recently purchased Autosource company. I purchased a car through auto source company that assists international professionals in leasing or purchasing vehicles in the United States. However, upon independently checking the vehicle’s VIN, it has come to my attention that the car has an unresolved safety recall involving the electric throttle body. This issue was not disclosed to us at any point during the purchasing process, which is very concerning. As this vehicle is intended for daily family use, including transporting my children, safety is our top priority. The presence of an unresolved recall raises significant concerns about the vehicle’s reliability and overall safety. Additionally, I have made multiple attempts to contact the assigned agent regarding this matter, but unfortunately, I have not received any response to my messages or emails. This lack of communication is deeply disappointing. Given that the vehicle is scheduled for delivery on [XXX] I respectfully request the following: Immediate clarification regarding the recall status Confirmation that all necessary repairs will be fully completed prior to delivery. Official documentation proving that the recall has been resolved. Assistance from a supervisor or appropriate representative to handle this escalation. Please treat this matter with urgency. I would appreciate a prompt response to ensure that this issue is resolved before the scheduled delivery date. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Mar 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The sliding portion of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with an explosive sound and force without provocation or impact damage occurring. We were driving at 5-10 MPH through our apartment complex, but it would have been more dangerous had we been driving at a higher rate of speed on a street or highway. My husband suffered some light scratches on his left arm, but no other injuries thank goodness. We immediately drove the vehicle to Pinnacle Nissan, but they denied assistance and coverage as well as Nissan Consumer Affairs. Repair is pending through auto insurance through 3rd party vendor Blue Chip glass, so it won't be available for inspection after this week once repaired, but I have photos.

Mar 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER Hello, I am writing to report a sudden rear windshield failure on my 2025 Nissan Rogue. On March 20, 2026, the rear windshield shattered without any impact or external cause. I am aware of ongoing reports and a recently filed class action lawsuit alleging rear windshield defects in 2021–2025 Nissan Rogues. Based on the circumstances, I believe my vehicle experienced the same defect. I have video and photographic documentation available upon request. Due to immediate safety concerns and inability to operate the vehicle, I had the windshield replaced on March 21, 2026, by Windshields R Us at a cost of $337.04. Given the known safety concerns and reported defect, I am requesting reimbursement and documentation of this incident under Nissan’s defect review process. Please provide a case number and advise on next steps.
