49 consumer-submitted complaints are matched to this model year. Treat the count as a research signal, then read the actual summaries for repeated symptoms.
The most common categories are electrical system, electrical system,engine,fuel/propulsion system, unknown or other. Use those categories as a test-drive checklist instead of judging the vehicle from the total count alone.
Enriched records include 2 crash reports, 1 fire report, 0 injury reports, and 0 fatality reports. These fields come from complaint records and should be read in context.
Mileage-at-failure is not available for enough matched complaints here. Ask for maintenance records and inspect wear items instead of relying only on complaint totals.

| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was driving vehicle on interstate when sudden loss of power took place. I immediately pulled off the road and we smelled smoke. Fire was coming out of engine compartment near passenger wheel. We immediately exited the vehicle and assisted our young children out of the back seat. Within seconds the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. If we were not able to immediately pull off the road and assist our children, we could have all been severely injured or killed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | POWER TRAIN,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Subsequent to the 68C recall software update, my vehicle is suffering from intermittent loss of acceleration. Even with a full charge of battery, when driving the 2025 jeep wrangler 4xe in EV mode, occasionally the car will shut of EV mode and transition to gas/hybrid mode. The problem is the vehicle changes from EV mode to gas/hybrid it can take 10 seconds. In the meantime there is no ability to accelerate. The pedal is dead. It occurred 4 times in random places. Once on a regular country road, Once straining on a steep hill Once merging with traffic on the highway The last time I drove it was when I lost acceleration while making a left hand turn on a busy intersection. It would have been a head on collision if the other driver hadn't slammed on their breaks. This was my last time with the vehicle and it has been sitting at the dealership since January. The dealership service department tells me Stellantis is not working on a fix for this issue, even though it is a serious safety defect. Since then I have been pursuing lemon law however this process is taking forever. They refused to provide a loaner car. I was renting a vehicle but it was too costly. I ultimately had to buy another vehicle, even thought I spent $70,000 on a brand new jeep that is sitting at a dealership. They claim no fault found. The dealership drove it a total of 10 miles in EV mode. No fault found. They are putting people in danger and making us QA test while they push out software updates that aren't tested in the real world. This vehicle is trying to kill me. It will either explode and burn down the house or cause a collision. They need to make this right. Please help. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | After having the 68C recall completed on December 30, 2025, my 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has experienced a significant and consistent reduction in power while operating in electric mode. Prior to the recall repair, the vehicle performed as expected. The issues began after the repair was completed. Problems post recall include: -Sluggish and weak acceleration in electric mode -No acceleration in electric mode when driving at highway speeds -Vehicle failing to maintain electric-only operation -Reduced power and speed when in electric mode These issues have created dangerous driving conditions, particularly on highways and during merging situations where adequate power and acceleration are critical to safety. This vehicle was purchased specifically for its hybrid/electric capabilities, which were a primary factor in the buying decision and are reflected in the vehicle's premium price point. It is deeply concerning and feels deceptive that a manufacturer issued recall has effectively degraded or disabled the core electric functionality that consumers paid for. Owners should not have their vehicles made worse by a recall intended to improve safety. I am aware that many other 4xe owners are reporting identical symptoms following the same 68C recall repair, suggesting this is a systemic issue introduced or caused by the recall software or hardwire modification, so this is not an isolated incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Component/System Failure: The hybrid/electric propulsion system intermittently loses power while driving. Electric output is progressively reduced to approximately 50%, then 25%, and then fully disabled, even when sufficient battery charge remains. The condition appears to involve the hybrid control/electric drive system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. What Happened / Safety Risk: The loss of electric propulsion occurs unpredictably during normal operation, including both highway and city driving. The reduction in available power and sudden loss of electric functionality creates a potential safety concern, particularly when driving in traffic or at higher speeds, where reduced or inconsistent propulsion may impact the ability to maintain speed or respond to driving conditions. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to a high-voltage battery recall involving fire risk, which raises concern regarding safe operation and storage of the vehicle. Reproduction / Dealer Confirmation: The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership (Johnson Auto Plaza, Brighton, CO). The dealership also confirmed that the same issue was reproduced on another Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicle on their lot. Inspection by Manufacturer / Others: The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and escalated to Jeep Engineering. The manufacturer has been unable to diagnose the issue due to the absence of diagnostic codes and has not identified a repair. Warning Lamps / Messages / Symptoms: No consistent warning lamps or diagnostic codes are present when the failure occurs. The loss of electric functionality happens without a predictable pattern and without clear diagnostic indicators. Additional Notes: The issue occurs unpredictably under all normal driving conditions, including: Highway driving at speed City driving at low speed Various battery charge levels (low and high) The dealership has suggested possible driver-related causes; UNsupported by car behavior | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | We were at a complete stop, with foot on break when my jeep lunged forward twice , second lunge hit the vehicle in front of me, also that car was at a complete stop. It has lunged 2 other times while at a complete stop . | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Car has been at the dealer to be fixed since Dec 21st 2025 with no repair estimate in site. No loaner car given, no communication from the dealer, Jeep corporate said the repair was completed but car is still there with no communication to us. When we call no one answers the phone. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ENGINE | engine hesitation, or loss of power, normally in 3rd or 4th gear under light acceleration Jeep dealer has no interest in trying to correct issue, said it's normal with a standard shift transmission, was in dealership on first service 2-16-26, mileage was app 1225 noticed hesitation immediately upon taking ownership but in speaking with service advisor we decided to wait for first service Any loss of power has me very concerned Please advise! Thanks for your consideration | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My dealership (Jeep Bayside Annapolis, MD) is refusing to fix the recall. They say they’ve had issues with some of the cars, and it’s taking too long. They said they’ve are capable of fixing the recall, but are refusing to do so. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I took my Jeep to the dealership to have the 68C recall fix done. Upon “passing” I was told I could continue charging as normal. I began charging as I did prior to the recall and recall fix and it fried my GFCI outlet and thankfully so or it my house would have caught fire. The only thing on that circuit is the Jeep charger and garage door opener, same as before the recall and recall fix. I’ve had an electrician out to confirm it wasn’t an electrical issue. | Crash: No Fire: Yes | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The vehicle has experienced repeated unexpected stalling during normal operation. After a dealership visit and representation that recall-related work was complete, the vehicle stalled again within hours. There is an active recall related to this issue with no available remedy. Due to safety concerns, the vehicle is not being driven. The manufacturer has not provided clear guidance regarding repair or safe operation, and the vehicle has been effectively unusable for an extended period of over 60 days. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | MPG not what window sticker claims. Window sticker claims 18 mpg city, 23mpg highway, 20 combined. Getting 13 combined | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | On multiple occasions, the Auto Start/Stop system has triggered a failure message on the Driver Notification Screen on the Center Console. As a result, less than two to five minutes after the failure warning, the entire vehicle loses power and electrical continuity. The vehicle loses all electrical systems, accessories, and critical driving elements (including speedometer and other instruments). This requires full roadside towing and assistance. The vehicle was taken to two Jeep/Dodge/Ram service centers for diagnostics and service, and both centers were unable to replicate the customer concern, although one noted that the battery terminal was "disconnected", even though the engine bay and battery section was never accessed by the driver from when it was purchased, including roadside assistance never accessing the engine bay and battery section, they simply towed the vehicle by disengaging the parking brake and engaging it when towed. This poses an abrupt and severe safety concern, as sudden loss of power and electrical systems results in loss of control, loss of lighting (external lights (headlights, taillights, hazard lights, etc.), and causes panic. This vehicle cannot be trusted as the safety is compromised. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Subject: Safety Complaint – 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Unexpectedly Shifted Into PARK While in Traffic Vehicle: 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Mileage at Time of Incident: 1300 Date of Incident: [XXX] Location: Ohio I am submitting this complaint to formally report a serious and dangerous safety defect involving my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. While approaching a red traffic light at normal driving speed, the vehicle suddenly and without any warning shifted itself into PARK. I did not press the park button, and no alerts or warnings were displayed prior to the event. The vehicle abruptly decelerated, leaving me momentarily without power in active traffic. I had to quickly react, restart, and shift back into gear. This incident was completely unexpected, and placed me and others at immediate risk of a rear-end collision. This behavior is unacceptable in a modern vehicle and represents a clear safety hazard, particularly in traffic conditions where sudden loss of propulsion can result in serious injury or death. There were no dashboard warnings, messages, or indications that the vehicle was about to enter PARK. The vehicle was functioning normally immediately before the incident. I am requesting: 1.A full investigation into this incident 2.Written documentation of any known defects, recalls, or software issues related to unintended gear shifts in the Wrangler 4xe 3.A permanent fix, not a temporary reset or software update without explanation 4.Documentation placed in my vehicle service record acknowledging this safety issue I am also submitting this complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) due to the severity of the safety risk. This incident has caused me to lose confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle, and I expect this matter to be treated with urgency. The vehicle is currently in the shop for the past 4 days with no call explaining what the problem is. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under Safety Recall 68C / 25V-741. The recall instructs owners to stop charging the vehicle and to park away from structures due to fire risk. There is no remedy available. As a result, I cannot safely use the vehicle as intended. Stellantis Financial Services told me the only option is to pay off the lease to return it, which is unreasonable during an unresolved fire-risk safety recall. I am requesting NHTSA involvement because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy, loaner vehicle, or safe alternative transportation. I would like early lease termination with no penalties, and reimbursement of all payments made. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The referenced vehicle "jerks/jolts" while driving. It was doing this when test driven on 7/31/25 and I was told by the salesman that this was normal even though he did not ask any questions about the jerking. On 8/1/25 I picked the vehicle up (leased). Because it had a cracked windshield, I again asked about the jerking and if it had any issues at all, and, again, I was told it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. The Jeep dealer serviced the vehicle x5 between 8/5-9/26/25 and was last in their service department from 9/3-9/26/25. The engine light has never been on and during the different service visits, an alignment was done, the valve cover gasket, oxygen sensor and valve body were replaced. No car accidents have occurred, however, because the "jerking/jolting" continued after the valve body was replaced, a lemon law case was requested and has been accepted. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The automatic emergency breaking sensor has not been working ive taken it to the dealer twice. The dealer keeps saying the sensor is on back order and they have no time line or update on when the part will be available. Also i called regarding the hv battery recall and there is no solution to the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Driving home from dealership and window cracked. Thees Jeeps have Coring Gorilla Glass. There is definitely a defect in the glass with only 42 miles on the jeep and the windshield cracks | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. Basically one day later, the start stop warning light came on again. I had to take it back to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for two days and I don't think anything was done. After the vehicle was returned to me, within days the warning light came on and then would go off and come back on sporadically. On the date of the complete power loss, the warning light came on in my dashboard about one hour before the power loss. So far, Jeep has said that they won't even be able to look at my vehicle for a week and it will probably take at least two weeks because they are short-staffed. I think I have a lemon. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The vehicle suddenly has a check engine light appear on the dash with a display message “performance limited, service fuel system”. This issue effectively caused the vehicle to enter a “limp mode” while driving it and limited its speed while driving. This reduced the speed of the car while driving at highway speed. The dealer has stated the issue is a high pressure fuel pump issue and a control module issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Fire-Risk Recall – Unsafe to Operate – No Remedy Provided “My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has an active fire-risk safety recall that makes the vehicle unsafe to drive or park near my home. Jeep and Stellantis have not provided a remedy or a loaner vehicle, and the dealership told me it is still ‘drivable’ despite the fire hazard. I have a young child, and this puts our safety at risk. I am requesting immediate investigation and assistance because the manufacturer has not offered a safe solution.” | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am reporting concerns regarding the handling of NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (Stellantis 68C) on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. When I contacted the dealership (Jeep Only – 5255 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas) to address the recall, the service department refused to schedule a recall-related inspection, refused to open a required STAR case with Stellantis, and told me “nothing can be done,” despite the recall involving a high-voltage battery fire risk. I was also given misleading information about the vehicle’s safety and have been unable to obtain a copy of my signed lease agreement despite multiple requests. Their refusal to follow proper recall procedures leaves me without guidance on a fire-risk safety defect, and I am currently pregnant, making this situation especially concerning. I am requesting NHTSA review of the dealership’s handling of this safety recall and lack of assistance to consumers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The Uconnect Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) nearly always causes the infotainment system's audio to cease unless the car or phone are turned off and back on. This glitch prevents other alerts and GPS from having any audio capabilities, increasing my exposure to risk and dangers (unless, of course, I only look at the infotainment screen instead of the road while driving). I have called Jeep customer care (per instructions found online) to disable this feature so that it does not create these unsafe situations. The settings I have access to do not include a way to manage the EVAS alerts, this must be done my the manufacturer (even the dealership, Lee Auto Jeep in Auburn, Maine, confirmed they do not have access/tools to do this from the manufacturer). The employee for Jeep on the phone denied knowing about this and said they confirmed there is no way to address the glitches/change settings. To force a communication alert feature, without the ability to edit settings to meet driver safety needs, and to deny any capability to address it, shows how the manufacturer is liable for any and all wrecks associated with how the EVAS disables audio and sometimes freezes the screen with the EVAS warning blocking everything--including the GPS map if someone is relying on that assistance to get to safety. I am calling on the manufacturer, through our Federal government, to rectify this risk. My dated request should not sit unaddressed until you have enough dead bodies/public pressure to act. My records (evidence of seeking a remedy through the proper channels) WILL dictate the narrative when this goes public. It is already a growing concern on online forums for not just the Jeep brand. Our map services (Google, Waze, Apple) already provide emergency alerts and give settings to empower the DRIVER BEHIND THE WHEEL to have these support, not distract and impede. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ) is included in NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (FCA 68C) for a high-voltage battery defect that can cause a fire while parked. Jeep instructed owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park outside, away from structures, because the defect may lead to thermal events even when the vehicle is off. As of today, the manufacturer states the remedy is “not yet available.” This means the vehicle cannot be charged, stored in a garage, or used normally. I am a lessee still making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely used. The lack of a remedy puts property and personal safety at risk. I am requesting NHTSA oversight to ensure FCA/Stellantis provides immediate relief such as a loaner vehicle or repurchase for owners and lessees affected by this recall. | Nov 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle randomly loses power mid acceleration- have been stuck in oncoming traffic multiple times. Usually happens when under electric power. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The vehicle has an active fire-risk recall (68C / 25V-741). Manufacturer has instructed not to charge the vehicle and to park away from structures. The dealership refuses to provide a diagnostic report or loss-of-use support. The vehicle is not safe to operate or store. I am seeking manufacturer action and accommodation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
