Nov 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE My 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ) has experienced three separate incidents of a complete loss of power while driving on public roads (on [XXX]), each time requiring towing. The authorized dealership has performed multiple repairs, with the most recent including the replacement of the throttle body. However, this represents the third recurrence of this identical safety-critical failure within 16 months, indicating that the underlying defect has not been fixed. I believe this vehicle has a persistent and dangerous safety defect that poses an ongoing risk to myself and the public. Nov 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I purchased the 2025 vehicle in September of 2025. The forward collision warning has never worked properly and will kick out disabling the cruise control. I have brought this issue up at least 3 times at the Honda Dealer I purchased it from (Verne Eide, Sioux Falls, SD). Each time I was told it this is a "known issue" and there is no fix for it. My only remedy was to disable the forward collision warning in order to be able to use the cruise control. My warranty expires in 6000 miles but they say they can't fix it. The dealer told me today that Honda is aware of the problem but has no fix for it. How is a know safety feature that does not work not considered a safety issue and a recall ordered? Honda has obviously chosen not to address this issue.

Nov 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER the Key fob separates from the physical key too easily. This has happened twice in 3 months resulting in one total loss of key - I was unable to access my vehicle when this happened. This could be a safety issue. The button for separating the key from the fob is raised making it too easy for it to be accidently pushed.

Nov 2025 STEERING,LANE DEPARTURE I changed lanes without using my blinker and the car fought against me on the freeway it caused me fear and concern, I questioned dealer I was told it was okay by dealer he said there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.

Nov 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER I am reporting a safety issue with my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The driver-side front mirror becomes blurry at highway speeds (60–70+ mph) and sometimes even above 40 mph on uneven roads, making it difficult to see vehicles behind me and creating a significant safety hazard, particularly when changing lanes or merging onto highways. The visibility issue worsens in rain, wind, or other adverse weather conditions, further compromising safe driving. Despite four service visits at my dealership, including a complete mirror replacement on August 25, 2025, the issue persists. Follow-up visits on October 20, 2025, and November 2025 confirmed that the problem was not resolved. My dealership has acknowledged that this may be a manufacturer defect and recommended that I contact Honda directly. This recurring issue directly affects safe vehicle operation and remains unresolved despite multiple documented repair attempts. I am submitting this complaint to formally document the safety concern and request appropriate manufacturer action.

Nov 2025 STEERING I have lost steering power on two separate occasions in the last week. When this happens the steering wheel locks in place. Once while I was reversing, I went to turn the wheel and the steering wheel was frozen in place. I pulled back into the spot put the car in park and then back in reverse and the wheel was still locked in place. I had to shut off the car and restart it 5 times for the wheel to unlock itself. The second incident was while I was driving. I was doing around 40 MPH and went to make a lane change and the wheel was locked in place. This lasted closed to 1.5 miles. Finally I was able to get some movement (It felt like when you have a flat tire in the front which makes it tough to steer-I did not have a flat.) Once pulled over I had to turn the car off and on for around 15 minutes until I could move the steering wheel again. I brought it to the dealership yesterday, they could not duplicate the issue and there were no codes, so there was nothing they can do. There was a previous recall of a steering gear box r, my car was not effected because it was produced after the original recall according to the dealership. When both incidents occured there were no warnings, the wheel just locked itself. Not being able to steer without warning is a huge safety risk. I have joined Honda forums and others are complaining about the same issue.

Nov 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES After stopping the car I shut off the engine while the gear/selector was still in D (Drive). The car began rolling forward since the driveway has a slope. My car hit the car parked before my car. The front bumper has been damaged. Later. I've checked several times this situation: If engine shuts off while selector is in D, the vehicle rolls instead of holding on a slope. This is a serious safety issue! Many driveways have slopes.

Oct 2025 STEERING Description of the Problem: I purchased a 2025 Honda CR-V Sport-L Hybrid in August 2024. The vehicle developed a steering noise and clicking issue early in ownership, first reported at 21,571 miles on November 6, 2024. The problem persisted through four separate warranty repair attempts at authorized Honda dealerships (Kirkland, Bellevue, and Seattle). Despite multiple repairs, including replacement of the cable reel and steering components, the issue was only confirmed and resolved by a Honda field engineer on April 25, 2025, at 49,657 miles. American Honda acknowledged the problem and opened Case #XXXand later a mediation case #XXX, but failed to respond to my Lemon Law resolution request. This prolonged defect affected vehicle safety and steering control stability, especially during low-speed turns and rough roads. Documentation of all visits and correspondence with Honda has been provided. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Oct 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Front collision system is not working since purchase of vehicle(7/2025). It does not give any visual or sound warnings within the specified settings. System is marked "on" on settings. Have checked settings multiple times. Dealer checked and said system was "off" which is questionable diagnosis. No change since they turned"on"(/2025). Have had numerous events that should have triggered the system to display visual alert. Am familiar with the system as had same feature on previous CRV. This is valuable feature to prevent accidents that is not working.

Oct 2025 SEAT BELTS On October 5, 2025 my 8 yr old granddaughter moved from the rear passenger side to the rear driver side. The seat belt buckle insertion (female) caused a deep gash on her knee, it cut through the skin, bleeding, pain, and stiffness. I checked the seat belts buckle receiver and there is thin part is that is sharper, It is a flawed design that more pronounced in the backseat because it is deeper in the seat, than the front of the car where adults sit. I contact this agency because I tried my Honda apps and they are for payments and maintenance notifications. .. I have pictures of the cut and seat belt buckle insertion part

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Driving at 55 mph on a highway and the sunroof spontaneously shattered. No construction, no road work, nothing in my video shows anything kicked up by a car etc. have a front and rear view camera on the car. Nothing was over my car as well while driving. That is seen on the video as well. Believe this will be a future recall. I am not the only one who has experienced this. Honda did nothing for me. They said you have to make an insurance claim. I could've been seriously hurt had I not had the sun slide in the closed position

Oct 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While driving my 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L on October 3, 2025, at approximately 8:00 AM PST, the automatic emergency braking system (Collision Mitigation Braking System) activated unexpectedly. There were no vehicles in front or behind me, and road conditions were normal. The sudden braking could have caused a rear-end collision if another vehicle had been nearby. This incident raises serious safety concerns. I have learned that similar issues have been reported by other Honda owners. I am requesting an investigation into this malfunction and whether a recall or software update is necessary.

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES The brake system on my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid produces a pronounced creaking and groaning noise when releasing the brake pedal from a stop, especially on steep slopes. The issue becomes significantly louder when the vehicle is carrying more passengers/full luggage. This noise is distracting to the driver, particularly in stop-and-go traffic and on inclines and reduces confidence in safe braking performance. The condition creates a risk of delayed reaction or loss of focus while driving. The dealership was able to reproduce the noise during testing [only flat road/parking] but dismissed it as “characteristic.” However, the noise in my vehicle is noticeably louder than other CR-V Hybrids. The issue was not tested under the full conditions I described (steep slope and full load). I have driven another 2025 CR-V Hybrid (owned by a friend), and it does not exhibit any such issue. The problem has been present since shortly after purchase and continues to worsen. There are no warning lamps or diagnostic messages associated with the condition. I have all documented noise in video format - available to share on request. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Oct 2025 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Fuel injectors failed at less than 3,000 miles. Two fuel injectors failed, per Honda service department, and it never recorded or served any error codes when they checked the history. It also did not display any dashboard warnings. I only knew there was an issue from heavy transition between gas and EV mode, and there was a strong burning odor in the cabin. Caused lightheartedness and coughing for occupants.

Sep 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Unintended acceleration. On August 8, 2025, Honda C-RV Hybrid 2025 (sport touring) accelerated into a wall without the driver touching the gas pedal. The vehicle is deemed a constructive total loss by the insurance carrier. Since it can’t be driven, we are unable to reproduce the problem. A case is open with Honda since the date of the accident; however, there is no urgency to move the case forward.

Sep 2025 VISIBILITY The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while reversing out of the garage, the contact heard a loud explosion. After exiting the vehicle and inspecting it, the contact discovered that the small window near the rear passenger’s side door had exploded and fractured into several pieces. The glass landed inside the cabin of the vehicle on the rear seats. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer confirmed that the window needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 1,850. The VIN was unavailable.

Aug 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On April 7, 2025, we bought a new 2025 Honda CRV EX. After driving it for a few weeks, we noticed that the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) is not functioning. And another safety feature, the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system is visual only (not audible) and appears only when our vehicle is 5-6 feet from a vehicle in front. Obviously, this distance is insufficient to properly react in order to avoid an accident. According to the car manual, “the CMBS system can assist when it determines there is a possibility of your vehicle colliding with another vehicle in front…an oncoming vehicle in front, a pedestrian, or someone riding a bicycle. CMBS is designed to alert you when the potential for a collision is determined, as well as assist in reducing speed, avoiding collisions, and reducing collision severity.” With regard to the non-functioning CMBS, we brought the car back to the dealer several times to check on the lack of this system, but their service department could not detect the CMBS system either. They tested other new Honda CRV EX models and even in those cars they could not detect the CMBS system. On June 16, 2025 (received June 18), we sent a letter to Honda headquarters (see attached) asking their assistance in addressing this deficiency. We followed up with 2 phone calls on July 25 and August 13. Unfortunately, to no avail. No response received. From a safety point of view, we are concerned by the lack of the CMBS feature as well as the short distance warning of the FCW system.

Aug 2025 VISIBILITY/WIPER The fluid dispenser is virtually useless. It seems that instead of coming from the bottom of the windshield and squirting upwards on the windshield, it comes from the blades. This causes the washer fluid to squirt almost everywhere except where it's needed. This causes an instruction of vision if the windshield is exceptionally dirty. Seems like a terrible design flaw that Honda doesn't seem to acknowledge.

Aug 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Driving at 60mph. No car in front, behind or to the side. Out of the blue slammed on brake fully. My foot was on the gas the whole time. Slowed rapidly to 20mph before I could continue on. If someone had been behind me they would have hit me. I'm now frightened of my own car. Took it to the dealer service department and they said that it's very sensitive and that even an empty plastic grocery bag blowing around could set it off.

Aug 2025 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE In the past 2 weeks my 2025 Honda CRV has automatically braked four times while driving on the road at about 45 miles an hour. Nothing else was around me - no vehicles, no animals, etc.

Aug 2025 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE This braking issue happened on 4 occasions. While in stop and go traffic I would be braking, nursing the brakes the car would take over and slam me to a complete stop. It would not go again until I hit the gas. On two of those occasions the car behind me had to move into the nxt lane or over to the shoulder. The last time the seatbelt caught me so hard I had shoulder and neck pain for about 3 weeks (I work in rehab so my co workers worked on my neck and shoulders)I did take it to Honda after the first two incidences and they said there was nothing wrong, that’s just how the sensors are. I asked if the sensors could be turned off and they replied No. After the last incident where my shoulder and neck got hurt and the poor guy behind me almost hit the wall on the shoulder, I went the next day and traded it in. I lost my 5K that I put down and the car depreciated by several thousand in 4mos but it was not worth driving it and ending up in a major accident with major injuries to myself or another driver.
