Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER the car has a major water leak causing excessive water around the sunroof and back rear windows. it’s causing the vehicle to fog up which causes a impairment for seeing outside and what’s around. over night the vehicle windows freeze up and become extremely wet and get into electrical components. the sensors stop working and no longer activate until the car “drys” up. this takes several days. previously the car had to be taken to the shop. the hybrid battery is still having problems and is draining most of the gas out. this vehicle is a extreme safety hazard to the excessive fog. the defroster does not help with anything. i have taken it to the shop 2 times & requested a buy back from honda corporation which was denied.

Feb 2026 SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC The contact owned a 2025 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed into a parking spot, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to come to a stop. The vehicle drove over a parking median in front and struck a tree. The contact then attempted to steer the vehicle to the left, but crashed into another vehicle on the passenger side. The vehicle flipped onto its driver's side, where it came to a stop. The message "Brake" was then displayed. The air bags deployed, shattering the front driver's side window. OnStar came on the speakers and informed the contact that help was on the way. The EMT arrived, and the contact was able to exit the vehicle through the sunroof. The contact sustained injuries to her left shoulder and arm, as well as a sore neck and stomach. Medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard, but had not yet been deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

Jan 2026 STEERING,SUSPENSION,SERVICE BRAKES The vehicle has experienced ongoing steering-related noise and vibration during driving since early ownership. The issue is noticeable at various speeds and road conditions and affects confidence in steering control and overall vehicle stability. The vehicle has been inspected and serviced multiple times at an authorized dealership, but the condition has not been resolved. During prior service visits, the condition was characterized as unlikely to recur; however, the same issue continued to reappear after service. Following the most recent service visit, the vehicle also began exhibiting brake-related issues, including abnormal noise and behavior during braking. These combined steering, braking, and stability issues affect vehicle control and create a safety concern while driving. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.

Jan 2026 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE I am filing a formal safety-related complaint regarding my 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid and the performance of its driver assistance systems. This vehicle uses a camera-only driver assist and lane keeping system. I previously owned a 2018 Honda Civic Touring that used both radar and camera. The earlier radar+camera system performed significantly better, maintained the lane more accurately, and provided smoother, more predictable behavior. The 2025 camera-only system frequently: – drifts within the lane – loses lane tracking unexpectedly – requires frequent driver intervention – feels less stable at highway speeds In my opinion, the newer vehicle’s system represents a downgrade in functional safety compared with prior-generation Honda systems. This change was not disclosed during the sales process, and many owners may assume newer models offer equal or better driver-assist performance. My concern is that removal of radar and reliance on camera-only sensing has resulted in degraded lane keeping performance that could increase crash risk due to unexpected disengagement or poor lane centering. I request this information be reviewed as part of consumer safety monitoring of driver assistance systems. I request this information be reviewed as part of consumer safety monitoring of driver assistance systems.

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER Summary of the Issue: My 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring has experienced repeated windshield cracking without any impact, debris strike, or external cause. This raises serious concerns about windshield integrity, structural safety, and potential manufacturing defects. ________________________________________ Incident Details First Windshield Crack – March 2025 •Around March 2025, the original windshield developed a crack with no impact to the glass or vehicle. •The crack originated at the lower left-hand edge of the windshield. •Honda replaced the windshield at a cost of $1,623.96, which I had to pay. •The crack appeared spontaneously and spread quickly. Second Windshield Crack – December 24, 2025 •On December 24, 2025, the replacement windshield also cracked without any impact. •This time, the crack began at the top right side of the windshield. •I discovered the crack when approaching the parked vehicle; there was no event that could have caused damage. ________________________________________ Safety and Financial Concerns •The vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s warranty and has only 16,653 miles. •The cost of windshield replacement is extremely high due to required ADAS camera recalibration, which is mandatory for safety systems to function properly. •Repeated spontaneous cracking raises concerns about: oStructural integrity of the windshield oPotential manufacturing or design defects oCompromised performance of ADAS safety features oRisk of sudden visibility obstruction while driving

Dec 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER A brand-new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid sold by Lehigh Valley Honda had inoperative front and rear windshield defoggers immediately upon delivery. The defect caused persistent windshield fogging, severely impairing visibility in rain and cold conditions. The selling dealership refused to perform warranty repairs and stated the issue was in all Hondas. The vehicle was unsafe to operate due to impaired visibility, creating a potential crash hazard.

Dec 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL While driving on the highway, I attempted to accelerate to safely merge into an adjacent lane when the accelerator pedal became stuck in the fully depressed position. The vehicle continued accelerating and the pedal would not release. I applied the brakes and exited the highway at the nearest exit, brought the vehicle to a complete stop, placed it in park, and turned the engine off. After restarting the vehicle, the accelerator pedal remained stuck. I had to manually pry the pedal up from the floor. There were no loose objects or aftermarket floor mats present—only properly installed Honda factory floor mats. This appeared to be a mechanical failure and presented a serious safety risk.

Dec 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle experienced sudden and complete loss of engine power while driving in active NYC traffic. Without any warning lights or prior symptoms, the engine shut off mid-motion, the accelerator became unresponsive, and the car stopped moving in the middle of a busy roadway. I lost all propulsion and had to activate hazard lights while stuck in live traffic. This created a severe safety hazard for me and surrounding vehicles. The vehicle could not be safely moved, and no police or roadside support was able to reach me for over an hour. This incident placed me at high risk of being struck by oncoming traffic. This is the second major failure with this vehicle. On Day 2 of my lease, the car experienced multiple system malfunctions related to an open recall, causing the vehicle to fail on the highway. That recall repair did not prevent this new failure. After this most recent incident, AAA diagnostics showed the vehicle was not drivable, and the dealership later informed me that the failure involves a deeper fuel system/high-pressure pump issue. They stated there is no guarantee the vehicle will operate normally even after repair, yet on 12/10/25 they attempted to return the car to me and told me to continue driving it despite knowing the defect is safety-related. As of today, I have been without a safe vehicle for over 10 days, and neither the dealership nor Honda Corporate has provided a loaner or safe transportation. My initial safety case with Honda was also prematurely closed without my knowledge, and multiple attempts to escalate to a supervisor were unsuccessful or delayed. A vehicle that stalls without warning at speed is an extreme safety hazard, and this defect remains unresolved. I am reporting this because the vehicle has failed twice under dangerous conditions, and the manufacturer has not ensured that the vehicle is safe to operate.

Dec 2025 POWER TRAIN,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On November 5, 2025 a few dash errors came on, they were: 1. Brake hold system problem 2. Vehicle stability assist problem 3. Emission system problem 4. Road departure mitigation system problem 5. Collision mitigation system problem 6. Lane keeping assist system problem 7. Adaptive cruise system problem 8. Hill start assist system problem 9. Tire pressure monitor system problem I called the dealership on 11/5/25 and made a service appointment for 11/6/25. The dealership looked over the car and stated that the code the car was throwing was "Low Fuel Pressure". The dealership stated that they do not know why the code was present as the car showed signs of issues, they cleared the code and released the car back to me on 11/6/25. On 11/24/25 while driving on a major highway the car stalled about 8-10 times. I contacted the dealership and went right into the dealer on 11/24/25. The dealership kept my car and issued a loaner vehicle to me. On 11/25/25 I received a call from the dealership stating that the high pressure fuel pump would need to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced on 11/26/25 and the service manager called me stating that they would keep the car to test drive and monitor it for further issues. On 11/28/25 I received a call from the service advisor stating that upon further checking the car they have located a transmission leak and found large chunks of metal in the transmission. The service advisor stated they would reach out to Honda and get the recommendations on fixing the problem. On 12/1/25 the service advisor reached out to me and stated that Honda recommended they clean the leak and release the car back to me. The service advisor stated that they were not happy with this outcome and then reached out to their district representative, the district representative recommended that they clean the leak, test drive the car for about 20-30 miles and send photos of the chunks of metal in the transmission. I am now waiting to hear back.

Nov 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While driving on Rt.119 through Uniontown PA, I was going 60-65 mph on a four lane road passing a cat on the right. I was about 3/4 of the way passing the car when three emergency braking kicked in and applied full braking. The road was straight, there was no vehicle or other obstruction in the road. This happened at approximately 3:30 P.M on 11/14/2025 with overcast sky and dry conditions. This caused the full sized tractor trailer behind me to lock up his brakes to attempt to not hit me. The only thing I can think of that kept me from getting hit, was I was able to hit the gas pedal.

Nov 2025 TIRES Continental ProContact RX 235/40 R18 91W DOT 1A3 OFBK7W 25 Honda Civic Touring Hybrid 4 mths old, 2300 miles brand new car On Sun Oct 19 approx 11:30am traveling on I95 N at SC/NC border this Conti tire mounted on LR blew out suddenly causing the 25 Honda to fishtail on the hwy. I gained control of vehicle and safely pulled to the side of I95. Honda Roadside refused to tow the vehicle because local Honda dealers were closed on Sunday. I called AAA and towed to car to local Walmart in Dillon SC who mounted a different brand but correct size tire. I completed my tiip to Arlington VA. The Walmart service manager showed me the tire where the inside sidewall had completely detached from the main tire tread but was in one piece separated from but but still on the rim. Based on this incident these tires are UNSAFE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED ---HONDA SHOULD BE SANCTIONED FOR ALLOWING THEM TO BE INSTALLED ON THEIR NEW CARS

Nov 2025 WHEELS Vehicle: 2025 Honda Civic Touring Hybrid - Continental ProContact tires On Sun Oct 19 11:30am while driving N on I95 at SC/NC border at hwy speeds in heavy traffic the LR tire/rim exploded causing the car to spin out and nearly cause a serious accident. I was able to bring the car under control and pull to the side of the road. The car was nearly new 4 mths old w/2300 miles. The tires/rims were in new condition. Honda roadside service refused to tow the car under their roadside policy. I called Triple A and paid out of pocket to have the car towed to Walmart who installed an off brand tire of the same size that I was able to continue to Virginia. While examining the tire/rim at Walmart service they showed me how the complete inside sidewall of the tire completly separated in 1 piece from the rest of the tire/rim. THESE CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT TIRES ARE A DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD AND HONDA SHOULD RECALL THE VEHICLES AND REPLACE THEM WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND, PREFERABLY MICHELIN. I've contacted Honda USA customer relations and so far they have refused to take any action or cover my tow & temp tire replacement cost nor accept responsibility to replace the dangerous Continental tires. I currently have the bad tire in my possession for Honda/NHTSA inspection.

Sep 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While driving at highway speeds with the Adaptive Cruise Control system active, the system is causing the vehicle to come to a complete stop to avoid a collision that does not exsist. In all cases when this has occurred, there are no other vehicles on the road. This inlcudes in front, beside or coming toward me from the opposite direction. When this does occur, the screen does show a vehicle icon as if it is detecting a vehicle in front of me but there is none. Since purchasing this vehicle in May 2025, this issue has occurred 6 times. I have brought this to my dealers attention during my most recent visit and was advised Honda was working on an update to resolve this issue but I have not received any communication from Honda indicating a recall was coming or an update to resolve.

Aug 2025 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Purchased a new 2025 Honda Civic, at around 9,000 miles, experienced rough idling and concerns for stalling upon turning on the vehicle. On park position multiple dash lights/warnings appeared, dark grey smoke and the smell of sulfur came from the exhaust. The rough idling made a crack on my engine cover due to the shaking of the car. Took to dealership and they found active misfires on 2 cylinder fuel injectors which lead to damaging 2 spark plugs. Dealership repaired and replaced issues.

Jul 2025 VISIBILITY/WIPER While driving my 2025 Honda Civic at normal highway speed, a small rock struck the windshield and caused an immediate crack that spread rapidly across the glass. The impact was minor and would not typically result in such extensive damage on other vehicles I’ve owned. The vehicle is equipped with Honda Sensing, requiring OEM glass and camera calibration, but the windshield is on national backorder, leaving me without a safe and properly functioning windshield. I am concerned that the windshield glass on this model may be unusually fragile or thinner than industry norms, resulting in an unsafe condition where small road debris causes significant cracks, obstructing visibility and disabling advanced driver assistance systems. Other Honda Civic owners have reported similar issues online, suggesting a potential design or material defect.
