Date Component Summary Severity Mileage
Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The master cylinder and ABS braking system failed, rendering the vehicle inoperable and leaving my family stranded approximately 285 miles from home. This represents a serious safety defect, as the braking system malfunctioned while the vehicle was in operation. The dealership has confirmed the issue, and the vehicle has remained in their possession for over two weeks awaiting parts and repair. During the failure, multiple warning indicators illuminated, including the ABS, Service ESC, and brake system lights. Once the brake system engaged, I was unable to release it or drive the vehicle any further.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES a week after purchase with less than 300 miles and 5 days the ABS, Trac Control, ESC, lights came on.. The same TSB known to the 2024 Chev Traverse are happening to my car, the same parts suggested in that TSB are what I am being told is being replaced in mine... The TSB I found includes 2025 Buick Enclave and 2024 Traverse. Seems the 2025 is probably having the same issue. The brakes did not fail but the lights remained on, the sealer advised the car was unsafe to operate until the parts were replaced. I am in a loaner car under factory warranty of course but I think the TSB should be expanded to include 2025 Traverse as well.

Oct 2025 STRUCTURE One day My husband went to work and the antenna fin was attached, he came back home and it was no longer there . We do not car wash my car since its brand new. We hand wash it our selves there should be zero reason for that to come off. Apparently is a very common problem in the 2025 traverse. I joined a Facebook group and over 40 people had the same issue.
Incident: Apr 2025
Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Oct 2025 STRUCTURE The antenna fin became detached and flew off as I was driving posing a risk to other drivers on the road. I was on an open highway when this happened. There was no damage to the fin prior to this.

Oct 2025 SERVICE BRAKES Service ESC & Brake Assist lights came on after only 4 months with the vehicle. The vehicle also abruptly slammed on the automatic brakes when backing into a parking spot with no obstacle present prior to the service lights indicating any issues. The vehicle was diagnosed with a failed brake master cylinder nearly two weeks ago, but the part is still on national backorder and will be stuck at the dealership for an undetermined amount of time with no loaners available. There are plenty other accounts of this same issue happening to other newly-bought '25 Traverses, and the N242482170 bulletin related to the '24 model hints at this being a recurring issue. This safety issue on a brand new vehicle without recognition/resolve is unacceptable.

Service ESC system, Break assist failure. Press hard to break.Speed limited. Key missing, check for key. i had an appointment for a cracked windshield on Friday the 3rd and Richland Chevrolet in Roswell. I took my traverse in on Wednesday afternoon and never heard back from them. on Monday October 6 I called and they advised me that my car needed a master cylinder and it was on back order. They said they could not give me an ETA because they have no idea when it will be available. They do not have a loaner because I did not purchase the vehicle their so I called the dealership where I bought it and they cant help me either.

Sep 2025 SERVICE BRAKES my wife was driving and she got warning lights for "brake assist failure" "speed limited" and "Service ESC". Brake pedal went all the way to floor and she came to a rolling stop. She couldve been in a accident if there were vehicles in front of her and it was also near a school bus stop. We recieved the vehicle from the shop a week ago today for other issues. (onstar). Was also in shop at dealership prior to that for coolant leak, a/c failure and a loud humming noise. Also door latch to rear hatch.

Sep 2025 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL Started 09/17/25: While braking, a front-end clunk or thud occurs. Directly afterwards, a cluster of warning lights appeared including Brake, ABS, Collision avoidance/forward collision, and Stabile track stability control) Brake pedal is now inconsistent and soft. Every time the brakes are activated, the thud or clunk occurs. When I start the vehicle, I get warning messages of Service Brake Assist, Service ESC on the dash that I must acknowledge. Called Hendricks Chevy Columbia SC on 9/18/25. Told to bring into dealership on 9/19/25. Dealership attempted diagnosis but could not. They bled brakes and reset all warning lights. I drove car approx. 10 miles and symptoms reoccurred, including all warning lights and thud/clunk. Called Dealership again and told to bring into on 9/22/25. It is now 9/23/25 and they have not diagnosed it yet. I was assigned a loaner car for 5 days.

(See photo below). Safety of self and others put at risk as car became uncontrollable due to complete loss of braking power while driving. Dealership has not notified yet due to long waiting of other vehicles undergoing maintenance (in my case 2 days at time of this report) Part hasn’t been inspected yet. Issue seems in line with similar incident referring to other 2025 and 2024 Traverse molels. Warning signs and alerts appeared only at time of incident (See photo below)

Sep 2025 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I rear ended a car on 3/12/25, and my automatic emergency braking system light was on at the time. When my car was returned to me, I set the braking system off, so the light was still on, but when I tried to turn the system back on in June, the light came on and told me I needed to get it serviced. As it wasn't a priority to have the automatic emergency braking system, I didn't take my car into the dealership until August 18, when 3 more dashboard indicators came on. The dealership stated they would be waiting on a part for my brakes, but it is on national backorder, with no ETA. It has been in the shop for over 4 weeks (it was dropped of 8/18, but lights came on 8/10).

Sep 2025 STRUCTURE The antenna cover (shark fin) on the roof of the vehicle detached while driving and flew off. Looking at the piece that flew off, the clips that are made to clip in and keep it attached to the roof broke off somehow and seemed to be very weak where some were still attached. The safety of other vehicles are put at risk by it being unexpected flying debris and could potentially hit a vehicle/motorcycle following behind or debris is the roadway. My dealer specifically has not seen many, but when researching online, it’s is a very common issue with the 2024 and 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. My vehicle was brought to my dealership and a person from the body shop will attempt to attach it back for a temporary fix until the issue can be resolved and not have to pay hundreds of dollars for something that the vehicle owner had no control over breaking. There was no warning of this attachment breaking off, nor should it be something that a vehicle owner should have to worry about replacing six months in of purchasing a brand new vehicle.
