When trying to do windshield repair kit on chip, the chip turned into a long crack. It made a chip and then a crack about 12” long. Called Kia dealership and they said they won’t repair because rock hit windshield. There is a class action lawsuit against Kia and their windshields cracking. Upon waiting for insurance and a new windshield 3 days later the crack has gotten bigger without driving. | Jul 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | While driving under normal conditions and with significant distance from another vehicle in front of me, a small rock/pebble hit the windshield of my vehicle, which caused a rock chip. The rock chip quickly "spidered" out and spread within a matter of an hour. Currently there are known and report manufacturer defects with regards to Kia windshields, specific but not limited to the Telluride model. In my case I have a 2024 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro. I have also discovered a chip in the rear passenger side window. My vehicle is approximately 23 days from the date of purchase (7/8/2024). I am aware that there is an open Class Action Lawsuit against Kia for 2019-2022 Telluride model vehicles. This needs to be extended through to the 2024 model years. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
