| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | There are 3 recalls on the 2024 Jeep Wranglers 4XE. They include a fire risk. We are not supposed to charge our vehicles and not park them near structures. This defeats the entire purpose of getting a electric vehicle. This car can not function for the reason it is purchased. Not being able to park in a garage as well? This is crazy! According to your website and Jeep, it has been 2 months since the first recall and there is no remedy available. I'm not sure what we are exepted to deem a "reasonable" amount of time for a remedy, but two months of nothing is plenty long in my book. Plus, when there is a remedy it will take time to book appointments then taking time off work to get this fixed. There are been many recalls concerning the jeep batteries on past models. Shouldn't this have been taken care of before the sold more? Another issue is resale value. How will I be able to get full value of my car's worth with recalls and worries of future ones? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ENGINE | October 2024. While driving in city traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion. The car did not power off completely but weakened severely, making it difficult to continue driving. After approximately half a mile, propulsion recovered and the vehicle returned to normal operation. This incident occurred only once and has not repeated since. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | There is a major safety recall on the vehicle. It is warning customers to park away from other vehicles and structures. I park in a garage every night and also park in a large, busy parking lot every day at work. This recall is affecting the features of my vehicle. I am not able to use the hybrid which is the main reason I purchased the vehicle. I am also getting horrific gas mileage which is creating a major expense in my life that I did not have before. I have NOT received anything about this recall on my vehicle. I have had to do my own research which is pure negligence by Stellantis. I have looked into trading my vehicle in but because of this recall, it has devalued my vehicle majorly. I cannot even afford to get rid of it. I have yet to receive any notification or warning about this recall. This is incredibly unsafe for customers to be driving these vehicles with supposedly no fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,VISIBILITY/WIPER | The vehicle is affected by two unresolved safety recalls involving a high-voltage battery fire risk and potential engine contamination that may cause sudden loss of propulsion or catastrophic engine failure. The manufacturer has instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it away from structures or other vehicles due to the fire hazard. No repair or remedy is currently available for either recall, and the vehicle remains in this unsafe condition. In addition to the recall issues, the vehicle has an ongoing electrical malfunction involving the infotainment display and backup camera. During normal driving, the screen frequently turns bright green, emits a loud screeching noise, and cannot be muted or controlled. The screen and backup camera also freeze intermittently while reversing, creating visibility and distraction hazards. This issue has occurred repeatedly over the past year. The problems place the safety of the occupants and the public at risk. The inability to charge the vehicle, the possibility of sudden engine failure, and the risk of fire make the vehicle unsafe to operate or park near homes, workplaces, or other vehicles. The infotainment and camera failures also impair navigation and rear visibility. The problems have been reported to the dealer, who previously acknowledged the infotainment issue and indicated the system would be replaced, but no repair was completed. Recent attempts to obtain service or a loaner vehicle have been unsuccessful. The dealer has confirmed that no remedy is available for the safety recalls. Warning symptoms include sudden screen discoloration, loud audio distortion, frozen rear-camera image, and intermittent loss of display functions. The recall-related safety hazards occur without warning. The issues have resulted in significant loss of use of the vehicle, and the manufacturer has not provided a timeline for repairs. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Subject: Formal Safety Complaint – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN ending XXX) To Whom It May Concern, My name is [XXX] , and I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, leased through Stellantis Financial Services. The vehicle is currently under multiple active recalls, including a high‑voltage battery fire-risk recall (68C) and Recall 78C, with no available remedy. I have been instructed not to park the vehicle near homes or structures and not to use the EV/hybrid system, which indicates a known fire hazard. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate or store and results in a full loss of normal use. Despite repeated attempts (9) through Jeep Customer Care, the recall center, and Stellantis Financial Services, I have received no assistance, safe alternative, loaner, or resolution. I respectfully request NHTSA intervention to require Stellantis to provide a remedy, a goodwill lease termination, a loaner vehicle, or a manufacturer-crafted safe alternative until repairs can be completed. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | First recall back in October the car would shut off while driving at any speed and the wheel would stop working. Now a new recalll the car would catch on fire parked / or driven because if the battery. I don’t wanna drive it I want a refund | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The Jeep has been to the dealer at least 5 times for issues with the hybrid system. Problems include low battery life, vehicle going into "limp mode" on the interstate, unable to get the vehicle over 25mph, warning lights on the instrument panel about the battery, heat and cooling system shutting off to divert coolant to the battery system due to overheating, bad odors similar to wires burning or electric motors running hot. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I own a Jeep Wrangler 4xe that has multiple active Safety Recalls involving risk of fire and sudden loss of power. The dealer refuses to provide an immediate remedy and Stellantis has denied providing safe transportation while the recall is unresolved. Stellantis representatives told me to continue driving the vehicle despite the documented safety risk. I already opened a case with Stellantis (Case Number: 94937890), but no solution has been provided. I rely on this vehicle for daily transportation and income, and I cannot safely operate it under these conditions. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure that the manufacturer provides a safe remedy and transportation solution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | THIS RECALLED VEHICLE CANNOT BE SAFELY DRIVEN. NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE. I AM PAYING FOR A LEASE I CANNOT USE AND REQUESTING FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR A LEASE TERMINATION OR REPLACEMENT. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | UNKNOWN ; I believe that my Jeep Wrangler 4XE in connection with recall : A7C/NHTSA 25V-710 created this safety hazard. Around the end of October / Beginning of November my Jeep performed a software update like it does from time to time and within a few days the vehicle shut off completely without any prior warning. I was driving to work, luckily on a side street going 20 miles an hour pulling away from a stop sign and the vehicle just straight up dies. Lights, engine, electronics, power steering, everything was unresponsive. I managed to pull off of the roadway and had to attempt multiple times to restart the vehicle. After a minute or so of being in park, it started right up and kept driving. A few days later after limited use of the vehicle, there was a software update again and I assumed it was for that and kept using the vehicle. This experience put my life in danger as well as others. Should circumstances of my travel been different and this would have occurred on a freeway, the outcome could have been tragic for myself and others on the roadway. This experience together with the other 2 severe safety recalls with no remedy, have led me to feel so uncomfortable even having the vehicle in my possession due to a recommendation from FCA, Mopar, and the NHSTA to (A. Not charge the vehicle to lower the chance of a tragic lithium ion battery fire that can occur during normal operation creating a hazard for all occupants including minor children, but also during the vehicle being parked. Leading to (B. A recommendation to not park the vehicle close to structures or other vehicles. Which in my situation is impossible at home and at work. And (C. The risk of the engine being contaminated with sand from the casting process which can lead to catastrophic engine failure, which can start a vehicle fire or cause an accident without prior warning. I will be dropping my Jeep off at a dealer until a fix is in play. No remedies available for either 3 major recalls. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Manufacturer: Stellantis / Jeep Recalls Involved: •High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk Recall (park-outside / do-not-charge) •Engine Casting / Sand Contamination Recall (Recall 68C) — risk of sudden loss of propulsion and fire NHTSA Case: If referencing dealer/Jeep case → Case #94839085 Mileage: [insert mileage] VIN: [insert VIN] Complaint Description: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently subject to two serious safety recalls: (1) a high-voltage battery recall requiring the vehicle to be parked outside and not charged due to fire risk, and (2) Recall 68C involving engine casting/sand contamination that can lead to unrecoverable loss of propulsion, engine failure, and potential fire. Jeep has notified me that no repair is currently available for either recall and has provided no estimated timeline for a remedy. As a result, I have been advised not to drive or charge the vehicle. This has left me with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate, unsafe to store, and unusable for daily transportation. I contacted Jeep Customer Care and the dealership for assistance. Jeep has only offered a limited 30-day reimbursement-based rental that requires me to pay out–of–pocket and does not cover the full period during which my vehicle is unsafe and unrepairable. Jeep has not provided a loaner or replacement vehicle despite the indefinite loss of use. This situation raises serious concerns because: •The vehicle cannot be safely driven, •There is a real risk of engine failure or fire while driving, •There is a risk of battery fire even while parked, •A remedy is unknown and unavailable, •Jeep has not provided a safe, usable transportation solution. I am filing this complaint because I believe the severity of these defects, the lack of an available remedy, and the manufacturer’s inadequate interim support pose a significant safety risk to me, my family, and the public. I am requesting NHTSA to review this matter. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I have two open recalls on my 2024 Jeep a wrangler. I’m afraid to drive the vehicle for fear of fire and Jeep stopping at any moment according to the recalls. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | Vehicle stops driving ; states to put in park and restart - recently happened while at airport picking up family ; called jeep, Stellanis, dealership - no help - active recall - requested buy back - crickets since. ; had happened as well in past - at dealership for 3 days - was told corrected. Still happening | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Vehicle has had two battery failure recalls and one engine failure recall in the 18 months that I’ve owned it. I can’t park the car inside. I can’t charge it and now the engine may catch fire. Stellantis/Mopar has no remediation for either problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Jeep has issues two safety recalls 68C and 78C . 78C says that engine can be stopped anytime during driving on highway. But they are not fixing it. Battery issue 68C is going on last four years. Where is the accountability? How can they sell a new vehicle in 2024 when they already knew that it had a defective battery ? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle experienced a complete and sudden loss of power, propulsion, and steering control WHILE DRIVING. The vehicle instantly shut down in motion and we were unable to accelerate, control speed, or safely maneuver, steering wheel locked. This created an immediate and severe risk of collision for myself, my spouse, and my young child who was in the vehicle at the time. There are multiple open safety recalls on this vehicle (including electrical system/propulsion defects), but no repairs or remedies are available, and the manufacturer is refusing to provide towing, inspection, or safe transportation. I reported the total power loss to the manufacturer. Despite this being an extremely dangerous event consistent with the recall symptoms, I was repeatedly told the vehicle is “safe to drive in gas mode,” even though they did NOT inspect it, did NOT ask for diagnostic information, and did NOT offer any safety assessment. They refused to authorize towing, refused to authorize inspection, and told me to pay out of pocket for a rental despite the vehicle being unsafe and unusable. The dealership also stated they have no way to repair the recalls and provided no solution or timeline and refused a loaner vehicle. The vehicle cannot be safely driven the 40+ miles to the dealership due to the prior failure. This vehicle is unsafe to operate, has already experienced the failure described in the open recalls, and the manufacturer is not providing any remedy, inspection, transport, or safe alternative transportation. We paid over $100,000 for this vehicle and currently cannot use it at all. I am reporting this because the defect has already occurred and poses a serious safety hazard to us and other drivers. We need NHTSA involvement because the manufacturer is refusing to address or acknowledge the danger despite documentation of total power loss in motion. This incident occurred MULTIPLE TIMES; date is a vague approximate. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Recall: 78C / NHTSA 25V-766 Mileage: 6,975 miles Location: California Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under safety recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766) for catastrophic engine failure, fire risk, and unexpected/unrecoverable loss of propulsion. The recall notice states that the engine may contain sand contamination from the casting process, which can cause sudden engine failure and a potential vehicle fire without warning. The biggest concern is that no remedy exists, and the manufacturer has stated the repair is “under development.” This means I am driving (or parked with) a vehicle that may suddenly lose power or catch fire. This creates a major safety hazard for me, my passengers, and the public. My vehicle has only 6,975 miles and is well within warranty, yet neither Jeep nor the dealership can perform any repair to address this safety defect. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure the manufacturer provides a remedy, loaner vehicle, or buyback for unsafe vehicles with no available repair. Thank you. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Was driving car and on the intersection it failed to continue to keep going and immediately lost power and would only move at 3 miles per hour. Felt scared and at risk with my toddler in the car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | While I was en route to get a recall serviced my Vehicle powered off while I was driving, at a speed of 25mph, out of my neighborhood. The Dashboard instructed me to put the vehicle in park (P), press the brake and the start button to power on the engine. The check engine light remained on and the vehicle started driving real sluggish. I couldn’t get above 10mph. I pulled into a parking lot and sat called the Jeep service department where I was going to have it serviced. I informed them of the issue so they could look at it, if I made it to them. The warnings for the check engine light said service stability controls. I proceeded to drive very slowly with my hazards on and still on 10mph very ruggedly; then all of a sudden the vehicle started to pick up speed and the check engine light went off. I was able to get on the highway and safely make it to the Jeep service center where they checked my vehicle but could not find a problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I am filing this complaint because my vehicle is subject to Recall 68C (Battery Fire Risk), and the manufacturer's remedy is inadequate, subjecting me to ongoing risk. Immediate Safety Compliance Failure: I cannot safely comply with the required "park away from structures" directive due to my current living situation. Inadequate Remedy Concern: The proposed fix for 68C is software-based. This is insufficient because the previous software fix (Recall 95B for earlier models) failed, leading to continued fires. I demand that NHTSA investigate and mandate a permanent, physical solution (a new battery with a corrected cell design) for Recall 68C, not another potentially ineffective software monitor. Financial Harm: I am also incurring significant, unplanned financial damage (increased fuel costs, paid FPL charging fees) due to the manufacturer-imposed loss of the vehicle's electric functionality. This must be addressed as part of the recall solution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | STEERING,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | While driving on the highway my Jeep lost speed and power steering. All the warning lights flashed on and off while dinging. Dealership can't get a code to see what the problem is to fix correctly. Jeep has 2 dangerous recalls that could catch fire while driving or sitting. Both issues put my life at risk. Stellantis denied buy back. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Vehicle was suddenly completely disabled without warning with multiple lights and turtle emblem inside the dash. Battery which is a known problem defect was completely disabled. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,WHEELS,ENGINE | Three active recalls on this vehicle currently and have not had the vehicle a full calendar year yet. Two pertaining to fire-risk recall which can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside vehicle. The recall instructions state there is an issue with battery and engine which can cause fire. The recall instructions state to not charge the vehicle nor park in garage and to park it outside away from buildings due to risk of thermal runway. The engine may contact materials which can also cause fire. Because of this, the vehicle is not safe to drive. My dealership (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey) as well as Jeep has refused to provide a loaner vehicle or transportation assistance free of charge. They informed me I must pay out of pocket for a rental while the recall remedy is being developed causing me to pay for 2 vehicles at the same. There is currently no remedy for this issue and no timeframe of when it will be available. Stellantis has not provided any support despite the safety hazard and the fact that I cannot safely use this vehicle. This leaves me without transportation during a federally mandated safety recall involving a fire risk. I am requesting NHTSA review this issue and contact the involved parties to ensure proper handling of the recall and consumer safety. Thank you, | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Hi, I am writing regarding my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ), which is currently under both fire-risk safety recalls. I have been advised not to charge the vehicle and to keep it parked away from my home, buildings, and other cars due to the potential battery fire hazard. At this time, the dealership has confirmed that they are unable to perform the recall repair or provide a timeline for when the necessary parts and remedy will be available. As a result, the vehicle is not safe or practical to use and I am paying for a vehicle I cannot use for reasons intended. Given that the vehicle is unusable due to an unresolved safety defect, I am requesting an early lease termination or manufacturer-assisted replacement. I believe this falls under a reasonable expectation for relief when a vehicle cannot be safely operated and the manufacturer cannot complete the required recall repair within a reasonable timeframe. Please open a case for review and advise on the next steps. I am happy to provide any additional documentation you may need, including the recall notice and my communications with the dealer. I have called Jeep & Stellantis multiple times and neither are willing to help me resolve this issue. I have also opened a case with the BBB. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to resolving this as soon as possible. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2025 | ENGINE | I am filing a complaint with regards to the current recalls on the 2024 wrangler 4xe. My concerns are not only is this not a safe vehicle to be driving it is a lease, a lease that will devalue the car. Chrysler Jeep offered me a rental reimbursement which I can not afford due to the timeline they have given me. January for battery and “second quarter of next year” this could cost me over $7,200 (up to $60 a day with a wait time of 6 months to wait for a repair) along with my monthly lease payment and insurance I have to pay on car that I feel unsafe driving I can not afford to pay upfront for a rental. Not sure if this is a breach of contract on their end. To ask someone who needs car for work to drive a vehicle that could catch fire or loose power while driving is unacceptable. There is also an artilcle on wtol.com stating there is a DO NOT DRIVE issued for this particular model published 11/18/25 I want some sort of resolution asap. As of now I am not driving car. Was also told by Stellantis they would tow my car and give me a loaner. They disconnected my call never noted it in my file and when I called back they had no idea who told me that. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
