| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My vehicle has an open safety recall (Campaign 78C) related to the hybrid system. The manufacturer has confirmed that no repair remedy or parts are currently available, and no timeline has been provided. Despite the unresolved safety recall, I have been informed that I may continue operating the vehicle. I am concerned about the safety risk of operating a vehicle with an unresolved safety recall and no available fix. I contacted the manufacturer (Jeep/Stellantis) to request documentation and review. While a case was initially created, I was later informed that a proactive repurchase is not being offered and that my request for continued review would not be documented or kept open. I am submitting this complaint to document the unresolved safety recall, the lack of an available remedy, and the manufacturer’s refusal to continue internal review of the safety concern. The recall notice did not include a consumer issue date; the date provided reflects when the safety recall was officially posted and became known to me. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Dealers: Lakeland Crysler Dodge RAM, FL; Second authorized Jeep dealer, Bartow FL Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has multiple unresolved safety defects despite repeated warranty repairs, and I have no confidence in this Jeep at just 12,000 miles. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) not working — Lakeland Jeep failed to repair or document inspections. Fuel leak / gasoline fumes in the cabin — After repairs on Feb 4, 2026, strong fumes entered the cabin while my children were passengers. A second dealer confirmed the leak and retained the vehicle as unsafe. sensor failures — Reported since July 2024, still unresolved. Failure to document safety sensors — Repeatedly requested, ignored by dealer and Stellantis. Dealer GM and Stellantis negligence — Cases closed prematurely; repairs rushed without confirming the Jeep was safe to drive. The Jeep continues to pose serious risk to passengers, including my children, due to fuel fumes and non-functioning safety systems. I cannot trust this vehicle to transport my family safely, despite being only 12,000 miles. Documentation: Emails, texts, certified letters, and repair orders document repeated safety defects and communication with Stellantis and Lakeland Motors Jeep. Request: Immediate investigation and warranty repairs Written confirmation that the Jeep is safe before return Buyback under Florida Lemon Law due to repeated unresolved safety defects | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Summary of Risk: 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Thermal Runaway/Fire Hazard: Per NHTSA Recalls 25V741000 and 25V766000, the high-voltage battery contains damaged separators, causing internal short circuits that lead to fires even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. Non-Stop "Turnover" Failure: The vehicle’s current state (constantly attempting to start/turn over without stopping) is a documented electrical/hybrid system malfunction. This indicates the high-voltage system is in a state of failure, significantly increasing the risk of a "thermal event" (fire). Proximity Danger: Per manufacturer guidelines, this vehicle is currently a Life-Safety Risk as it is immobilized within 50 feet of a residential structure housing a toddler and pets, violating the "Park Outside and Away from Structures" safety directive. Absence of Remedy: The dealership has admitted there is no current fix or available parts to resolve this hazard, rendering the vehicle "permanently impaired" under Maine Law. Summary of Dealership Response Failure to Secure Safety: Despite the vehicle being a non-drivable fire hazard, the dealership has not provided an emergency tow or a no-cost loaner vehicle to remove the threat from the residence. Predatory Pricing: The dealership is attempting to leverage a safety crisis to increase the lease payment by over 60% (from $500 to $800+). Misuse of Incentives: The dealership is failing to apply the $8,000 Stellantis "Recall Relief" rebate to lower the monthly payment. Instead, they are using it to absorb "negative equity" on a defective vehicle that should legally be subject to a full manufacturer buyback. Unreasonable Terms: The dealership is effectively demanding a $10,000+ total cost increase over the life of a new lease to replace a vehicle they admit is unfixable and dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Instrument cluster panel and all warning lights, fuel gage, speedometer, tire pressure, temperature sensor, etc. as well as all info on app unable to access. no warning lights which could cause crash without prior warning. controls and displays failed to illuminate and were not visible. unable to see in daylight or at night. Dealer verified internal failure in IPC, would not repair under recall, said was outside of warranty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving at approximately 70 miles per hour, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power and felt as though the engine was going to shut off. This created an immediate safety hazard and forced me to pull over to the side of the road. Despite feeling unsafe, I continued driving directly to the dealership to have the vehicle inspected due to an engine warning light related to the fuel system. The vehicle has only been serviced and inspected by the dealership. I was informed that there is currently no available remedy for Recall 78C. With the recall unresolved, the vehicle continues to pose a significant safety risk. The potential for engine failure while driving at highway speeds places me, my passengers, other motorists, and nearby property in danger. Due to these conditions, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate or park until the recall issue is properly resolved. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | Within 40 miles of purchasing and departing the dealership, this brand-new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Sport S experienced two severe and uncontrollable steering oscillation events (commonly known as "Death Wobble"). The first incident occurred on I-265 East (from I-65) in Indiana after going over a standard bridge expansion joint/hump at approximately 60 MPH. The steering wheel and front axle shook with such violence that vehicle control was nearly lost, necessitating emergency braking and pulling onto the shoulder. The event repeated under identical conditions within two miles. The vehicle was brought back to the dealership where tire balance, pressure, and alignment all appeared normal. Dealership took the vehicle for a test ride and was able to replicate the issue. Odometer leaving dealership: 133 miles. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Started vehicle in the morning and radio/infotainment system had a problem. The radio functions seemed to work but when I put the vehicle in reverse the backup camera screen went black. I tried putting the car back into park and then restarting the vehicle and putting it back into reverse, but it didn't work again. Drove about 25 miles to my place of work and parked in a parking spot. I then proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse again and this time noticed the camera started to work but it was working intermittently. The screen kept flashing on/off and also the image from the camera flashing in blue. During the initial startup and later when parking at no time were there any warning lights or anything to indicate a malfunction. I have had issues with the radio/infotainment system multiple times and have brought it into dealership for issues with it. They have stated that they can't replicate the issues and just check to make sure it has the most up to date software. In those instances, the software was up to date at the time of the issues. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Catastrophic Loss of Motive Power and Power Steering at Road Speed Following Recall 68C Update. Description: On February 6, 2026, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Mileage: 24,947) suffered a catastrophic safety failure while in motion on a public roadway. This occurred about 25 hours after the vehicle was "cleared" by a dealership for Recall 68C (NHTSA Recall 25V-741). While driving at approximately 25/30 MPH in Electric Mode, the vehicle suddenly displayed a "Service Transmission" warning and a red high-voltage "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" error. The vehicle immediately lost all motive power and entered a "Limp Mode" (Turtle icon) that restricted speed to under 5 MPH. Simultaneously, the vehicle lost power steering and displayed errors for "Service Shifter," "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable," and "Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Unavailable." I was forced to drift the unpowered vehicle across lanes of traffic into a shoulder without power steering where another vehicle almost hit me. The vehicle revved excessively but would not provide propulsion. After a hard restart, I was able to move the vehicle at 20 MPH to a safe location, where it was subsequently towed to the dealership. This failure occurred after the manufacturer assured me the vehicle was safe following the Recall 68C software update. This is a life-threatening defect that caused a total loss of control on a live roadway. I am requesting a formal investigation into the effectiveness of the 68C software remedy. I have video and photos of the dashboard | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? YES GAS LEAK Engine oil leaks: Timing cover gasket Valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals Injector O-rings Upper oil pan reseal Leaking rear shocks (suspension issue affecting vehicle stability) Upper oil pan replacement seal (additional engine oil sealing issue) Collision sensor failing (forward collision warning / crash-prevention system) The vehicle is currently at a dealership and available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The active fuel leak created immediate fire and fume inhalation hazards inside the passenger compartment, where occupants, including children, were seated. Fuel leak could have caused an engine fire. Engine leaks created risk of stalling or mechanical failure while driving. Leaking rear shocks affected vehicle stability and handling. The malfunctioning forward collision warning sensor impacted a crash-prevention safety system. These combined issues posed serious risk to vehicle occupants. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Confirmed Dec. 8 2025 , dealership never documented sensors added as “miscellaneous.” Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? | Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I am writing to report an additional safety‑related incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. This vehicle previously experienced propulsion issues that I reported under NHTSA Case Number 11692887. On the morning of February 4, 2026, while driving to work on a busy interstate (approximately 12 miles from home), the vehicle again began exhibiting propulsion instability. The vehicle experienced repeated surging and thrusting movements that became progressively more severe during the drive. During these events, the check‑engine light intermittently illuminated and then turned off. This incident occurred exactly seven days after my vehicle was evaluated by Sam Leman Dodge on January 27, 2026, for three open safety recalls. At that visit, I was provided paperwork indicating that the issues had been addressed. However, as of today, the official Jeep/Mopar recall website still shows multiple serious and active safety recalls for my VIN, including recalls involving fire risk and sudden loss of motive power. After the February 4 incident, I contacted the dealership, and their service department advised me not to drive the vehicle and recommended that it be towed to the dealership for evaluation. I followed this guidance due to the severity of the propulsion behavior and the safety concerns involved. Given the recurrence of propulsion instability, the worsening severity of the surging behavior, the dealer’s recommendation not to drive the vehicle, and the presence of multiple unresolved safety recalls, I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in ensuring that the manufacturer addresses these issues and restores the vehicle to a safe operating condition. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Recognize that this is the second time I have emailed the NHTSA regarding propulsion issues with this vehicle (Earlier Case Number 11692887). Please help me build a relationship with Jeep to ensure this vehicle is restored to a safe condition. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | Klamath Falls Dodge Dealership and Stellantis have failed to repair the defects cited in the A7C, 68C and 78C. My vehicle is subject to sudden stops and sudden fires. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/28/2025. I filed a claim online and with certified mail with Stellantis. No action has been taken to correct the defects and the vehicle can't be driven in a safe manner. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | DRIVING DOWN ROAD, APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH THE JEEP ABRUPTLY STOPPED, NOTHING NO POWER TO ANY PART OF THE VEHICLE , LOSS OF DRIVE POWER. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME FOR SURE I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT IN THE REAR, I AM SO AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE , AS THIS HAS HAPPENED ON TWO OCCASIONS LATE SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 14 2025. ALREADY. THE DEALER CONFIRMED IT AS I SENT A PICTURE OF THE DASH BOARD THAT WAS TAKEN THE SECOND INCIDENT , WITH ALL THE THINGS THAT LIT UP. NO NOT ONE TIME WAS THERE ANY WARNING, MESSAGES OR LIGHTS PRIOR TO INCIDENT. I CONTACTED DEAERSHIP TO MAKE APT WAS TOLD "DONT BRING IT IN" THERE IS NO REMEDY, "ICAN GIVE YOU THE 800 NUMBER FOR CHRYSLER/JEEP" EARLY NOVEMBER I GOT RECALL NOTICE FOR THE BATTERY THAT COULD "GO ON FIRE" OR "BLOW UP" - I CALLED AND THE DEALER GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR 1/20/26 - 3 MONTHS??? I REQUESTED A LOANER CAR THATS WHY THEY MADE MY APT 3 MONTHS AWAY, THEY CLAIM DIDNT HAVE A LOANER UNTIL THEN. WENT ON 1/20/26 THE TECH CALLED ME TWICE ONCE TO TELL ME THERE IS NO REMEDY TO FIX AC7 PROBLEM AND THEY WILL SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT "BATTERY ISSUE RECALL, CALLED AGAIN ASKING RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS LIKE HOW ARE YOU CHARGING THE VEHICLE, ARE YOU USING AN AFTER MARKET CHARGER, AS IF YOU DIDNT LEASE ME THIS VEHICHLE WITH THE CHARGE... I FELT LIKE THEY WHERE TRYING TO SAY ANY ISSUE WAS MY FAULT. I SENT THE TECH A TEXT TO LET HIM KNOW THAT I REALLY AM NOT COMFORTABLE PICKING UP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THE NO REMEDY FOR THE ISSUE AND CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY. HE SAID "YOU SHOULD BE ALRIGHT" "YOU SHOULD BE OK TO DRIVE", I TOLD HIM THAT I WASN'T REASSURED THAT I "SHOULD" BE OK??? i SAID I WANTED TO DISCUSS GETTING A LOANER OR REPLACEMENT VEHICLE, HE SAID THAT WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN & IF i DIDNT PICK THE VEHICLE I WOULD BE CHARGED $50/DAY FOR LOANER. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Vehicle Safety Incident & Recall Case Summary In approximately October 2025, while my son was driving the vehicle on Highway 85 at approximately 70 mph, the car suddenly shut off and lost power without warning. He was able to safely pull over to the side of the road and had to restart the vehicle in order to continue driving. At the time of this incident, the vehicle had only a few thousand miles. As a parent, I am deeply concerned about my son’s safety, particularly given that this power loss occurred at highway speeds without warning. Shortly after this incident, I personally experienced a separate failure while driving the vehicle, during which the car would not accelerate as expected. This created an additional and serious safety concern during normal driving conditions. We brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership for evaluation. The dealership informed us that this issue was associated with a known recall and advised that there was no available fix or remedy at that time. In addition to this recall, the vehicle is subject to two other active safety recalls, both of which also lack available repairs: A recall involving sand or debris in the engine, which may impact engine performance and long-term reliability. A recall involving the high-voltage battery, for which we have since received additional notices advising us not to charge the vehicle and not to park it inside or near structures due to a fire risk. There is currently no fix available for this defect. We selected this vehicle specifically as an electric vehicle, in part because it was intended to be charged and used safely at home and to avoid the ongoing cost of gasoline. The current instructions not to charge the vehicle and to avoid parking it inside or near structures eliminate the vehicle’s intended purpose and expected use. Because of the loss of power at highway speeds, the failure to accelerate, the ongoing safety concerns, and the existence of multiple unresolved safety recal | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My 2024 Jeep Wrangler experiences violent front-end oscillation at highway speeds after hitting bumps, resulting in temporary loss of steering control. The dealer suspects the steering stabilizer but refuses warranty repair due to inability to replicate. This is a safety issue that I am gravely concerned about. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to multiple active safety recalls involving fire risk, including Safety Recall 78C which currently has no remedy and is under stop-sale status. The manufacturer has issued written advisories restricting normal use and parking. I requested a manufacturer buyback due to loss of use and safety impairment. Stellantis corporate acknowledged the issue but has not provided a written determination or resolution despite multiple follow-ups and compliance escalation. The vehicle remains unsafe for normal use with no repair timeline, and the manufacturer is refusing to address loss of use. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Vehicle experiences sudden unintended stopping and loss of propulsion. There are known safety recalls with no available remedy. Vehicle is unsafe and inoperable. Smoke/burning odor present. Children were in the vehicle during incidents. Manufacturer has not provided a fix. I was on my way to work towards the end of September with a SEMI behind me and it stopped out of the blue while driving! Thank God I acted fast and pushed start then stop to get it to go and out of the way, I was right infront of my job. Other times I have been alone and most recently during Christmas break my brother in law was in the car with me when it happened and he screamed and said to turn around, he’s a mechanic and he wanted to see what I was talking about. We didn’t even make it but out of the apartment complex when it happened. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate from being idle, or while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly jerk, accelerate at an unexpected speed, or fail to accelerate. There was a ticking noise coming from the front end of the vehicle that could be heard when standing outside the vehicle. The Check Engine light and the explanation warning light, as well as others not specified, would illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the dealer was not able to diagnose the failure. The dealer updated the vehicle's software but was unable to provide a remedy for the failures. The dealer informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to do the recall repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 25 MPH, after accelerating from being idle at a stop light, the vehicle suddenly jerked and stopped. The contact pressed the accelerator pedal, and when doing so, the vehicle accelerated at a high speed, immediately causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle ended up crashing into a fire hydrant, causing it to stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact received injuries to their shoulders, lower back, neck, and left knee. Medical attention was needed. A police report had been filed. The vehicle was towed from the incident. The contact stated that while the police were there, the officer noticed the engine revving as if the accelerator pedal was being pressed; however, the pedal was not pressed at the time. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, and a case was opened. The contact had not heard from the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure mileage was unknown. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | After having the 68C recall software update completed on my Jeep at an authorized dealership, I now experience sluggish and decreased acceleration (even deceleration) upon pressing the accelerator more than half way (approximately). This happened twice on hills in which I needed to increase power while in Electric mode. What happened was the jeep seemed to lose power and decrease in speed while trying to go up the hill. I continued pressing the accelerator farther down and the jeep seemed to be even more sluggish until all of a sudden the combustion engine kicked in at a very intense level and high RPM, lurching be forward, almost into the back of another vehicle. The sudden decrease in power to an even more sudden and drastic (sharp) increase felt dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | I own a 2024 Jeep 4xe in Alabama with approximately 9,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to a dealership due to safety concerns related to active recalls, including Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery, as well as a second engine-related recall for which no remedy has been issued. The vehicle was checked in and a repair order was opened. Dealer diagnostic notes indicate trouble codes related to the high-voltage system, coolant heater, and EVAP system, and state that certain components “need to be replaced.” Despite this, I later received a text message stating the vehicle was “ready for pickup,” even though active safety recalls remain and it was not clearly communicated that the listed components were replaced. Because these recalls involve potential fire risk and high-voltage system faults, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, especially with children riding in it. The vehicle has remained at the dealership for almost 2 weeks with limited communication. I am currently paying for a rental vehicle out of pocket while awaiting reimbursement from Stellantis, with no clear timeline for repayment or confirmation of continued coverage. Attempts to obtain updates from both the dealership and Stellantis case management have often gone unanswered. I am submitting this complaint due to unresolved safety concerns, extended vehicle downtime, unclear repair status, and financial impact related to rental transportation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | To address what system failed: The Engine shuts off while driving at highway speeds without warning. The Electrical system suddenly and completely shutdown. Loss of Propulsion while driving. To address the safety for myself and others at risk: The Vehicles sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds created an immediate risk of rear-end collision, loss of control of the vehicle or being stranded in active traffic lanes. Surrounding vehicles were forced to brake and maneuver unexpectedly, placing myself, passengers (children) and other motorists at risk of serious injury or death. No warning lights prior to failure and the vehicle will be inspected on February 2, 2026 at Westgate in Raleigh. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
