Then, as the driver attempted to back up, the vehicle charged forward and struck the tree again. The vehicle's driver airbag never deployed despite sustaining two head-on collisions which ultimately rendered the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle's manufacturer hired an "independent" inspector to inspect the vehicle. They found "no manufacturing defects" and blamed "human error" for the incident. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |

| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Regarding bullet point one: Not sure Bullet 2:My safety and my husband's safety would have been at risk if it had crashed into our house as he was sitting where it could have possibility entered the house. Bullet 3: Not sure Bullet 4: Vehicle was has not been inspected by manufacturer. Jeep was not driveable. State Farm was contacted and a wrecker came and towed the vehicle to Caliber Collision. The Jeep is there now. Drove into driveway and placed Jeep in reverse to back up to a shed. I put my foot on the accelerator to backup but the Jeep lurched forward and accelerated. It would not stop, even as I tried to brake, until it ran through a privacy fence knocking down 3 cemented metal posts and bent another one. It also ran over a metal bird cage, metal table, Talavara bird bath, and uprooted an 8+' shrub before coming to a stop inches away from our HVAC unit and the house. Marks on the driveway seem to indicate the right rear tire kept turning and the left rear tire buried into the ground almost up to the axle. Bullet 5: There were no warning lights or signals before the accident. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |

You can't even see the extremely small nick on a camera. But the windshield instantly cracked and continues to Crack from this tiny nick. | Aug 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Failure: Possibly related to Drive train Problem: Happens everyday in the morning on a cold start, have seen it also happen after parking for a longer duration on a cold day. When the vehicle is put in Drive and moves forward and changes gear from 1st to 2nd, the vehicle lunges/jumps forward. It’s an extremely aggressive shift and literally jumps forward. This problem started happening after nearly a year. The first year was fine with no issues. It’s a scary feeling sitting in the driving seat not sure if its going to hit someone or the transmission is going to fall apart. Inspection: This was inspected by 2 different service centers. One of them reported that they were not able to see the issue. The 2nd service center says that it’s a hard shift which I can ignore.. but the Jeep is not supposed to drive that manner. Warnings & Signs: None. The problem started after nearly a year of ownership. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | purchased lease on 11/22/2024 on 12/23/2024 Had engine light on was told There was condensation on the oil. So I had the oil changed. on 3/14/2025 My engine light was on again and I noticed the vehicle was not holding a electric charge on 4/3/2025 went back again because engine light was on and they replaced a componant for the hybrid charge 07/30/2025 While driving in gas mode (Because the vehicle will not charge) I had RED TURTLE and RED Wrench along with check engine light..At this point The jeep slowed down immensely in traffic and I had to pull over.once I turned it off it seemed fine untill it happend again going up a steep hill and the jeep just stalled and Traffic from behind almost hit me. This jeep is not safe I only have 7,800 miles on it brand new and Im going back to the dealer on 8/11/2025 to have them update my system? I feel like this is just a bandaide and this car should be recalled or bought back jeep | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Reverse camera not working. Screen is blue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | About one in 10 starts of my vehicle, the radio/infotainment screen will lock up, make a make a static sound, go black, and restart in a one minute cycle. Sometimes when I am in reverse, it will keep a picture of the back up camera, it’s a locked up picture (that is, not the camera view in motion) and which I think is dangerous, because it could give driver a false perception that there’s nothing behind the vehicle, and then the infotainment will reboot. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) that has experienced multiple hybrid system failures since the week of purchase. Despite several major repairs, the issues persist — raising significant safety and reliability concerns. Timeline of Major Issues: •[XXX]: Just two days after purchase, the vehicle was brought into the shop for hybrid system failure, requiring replacement of the high-voltage wiring harness and electric cooling heater. •Shortly after, the check engine light returned (per service staff, likely another hybrid fault). I was unable to bring it in at the time, and the light later turned off on its own. •[XXX}: After overnight charging, the battery was dead and the vehicle wouldn’t start. My wife (a medical provider) had to leave work to assist, causing major disruptions to patient care, financial loss, and missed school for my son. •[XXX]: After another overnight charge, the vehicle again failed to start, with more difficulty getting it to run than before. •[XXX}: The vehicle was returned to the shop and required replacement of the hybrid powertrain chip and additional high-voltage wiring. These failures mirror the symptoms and component issues currently under investigation in Recall 95B, yet my VIN does not show any open recalls, and I was never notified of any hybrid system defect. My vehicle has experienced the same hazardous failures and received the same repairs as affected vehicles. I am submitting this complaint because I believe my vehicle was improperly excluded from safety-related notifications and may be affected by a known, systemic hybrid defect. I am requesting that NHTSA include this case in its ongoing investigation into Jeep 4xe hybrid propulsion failures. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Vehicle abruptly lost all power while driving, multiple panel lights, turtle mode. Twice now, first time at an intersection (April 10, 2025), second time on street in front of my house after pulling out of driveway. Loss of power steering, insufficient power to get back up driveway to garage. Towed both times. First time spent 18 days at dealer, "multiple DTC codes", no definitive diagnosis. Back at dealer now for past 11 days, no diagnosis yet. Could easily have been life-threatening situation if occured while driving on freeway or at speed. Apparently known problem with these Jeep HEVs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | After a UConnect OTA software update was received in Feb of 2025, the radio frequently crashes and reboots shortly after starting the car. Frequently this will result in the backup camera image being frozen for up to 30 seconds before the radio reboots. This causes a potentially dangerous situation if you rely on the camera while backing up. Also, after this happens the wireless access point can not be enabled without manually rebooting the radio again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed oil leaking from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120. | Crash: No Fire: No | 120 |
| Jun 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Driving in parking lot, as I went to turn into a spot, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe suddenly accelerated as if I had floored the gas. Unintentional acceleration continued as I applied and pumped the brakes. The Jeep hit a concrete and metal pole in the lot, and continued to try to accelerate, crawling up the pole until the engine was shut off. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | This was the third time the vehicle ceased with 1/8 tank of gas left. These instances result in the gas light, engine light, and battery light to turn on and do not let the vehicle move into neutral, which has been unsafe as the vehicle shuts down somewhat unexpectedly and has taken place in the middle of the road without the option to push the vehicle off to the side. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving on a highway at the 55 mph speed limit, the vehicle suddenly lost power and I was only able to travel at around 40 mph. The incident happened at a busy time on this two-lane highway and it caused traffic to back up behind me and for people to pass me until I could turn at the next intersection. I was only a mile or so away from my residence and I was able to make it home under the reduced power. The 4xe battery was at <1% and I was driving in hybrid mode at the time of the incident. I recharged the battery overnight and have driven it only a few miles since, with no further incidents. I purchased the vehicle used 2 weeks ago with under 17K miles on the odometer. I have not reported the incident to the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle, as they are not a Jeep dealership and I doubt that they would have a clue as to the cause of the problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Odometer Fraud. The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair. The contact stated that when the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair, the odometer reading was 16,000. The contact stated that after the vehicle had been repaired under the recall, the contact retrieved the vehicle and became aware of a mileage discrepancy and that the odometer had been rolled back to 12,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 16,000 |
