Apr 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The issue involves the engine/powertrain system as identified in Recall 78C for my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The recall states there is a risk of catastrophic engine failure, vehicle fire, and unexpected loss of propulsion. At this time, the manufacturer has indicated that no repair remedy is available. This defect creates a safety concern because sudden loss of propulsion or engine failure could occur without warning while driving, increasing the risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds or in traffic. Prior to the recall, I experienced an incident where the vehicle began sputtering and would not respond properly to acceleration, significantly limiting vehicle movement. The issue was evaluated by a dealership, but the condition could not be replicated at that time. Based on the current recall involving engine contamination and propulsion failure, I am concerned that this prior incident may be related. The problem has not been resolved because there is currently no available repair. The manufacturer has acknowledged the defect through the recall but has not provided a timeline for a fix. I have contacted the manufacturer regarding this safety issue; however, my concerns about the risk associated with this defect have not been addressed, and no resolution has been provided. I am submitting this complaint to document the safety risk associated with this unresolved defect and the lack of an available remedy. Continued operation of the vehicle may pose a risk to occupants and others on the roadway due to the potential for sudden loss of propulsion or engine failure.

Apr 2026 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE A recall for the possibility that sand may have entered the engine during casting has been in place since November 2025. To date, Stellantis has not provided a remedy that, in my opinion, should require a complete engine replacement. I am required to travel extensively, often hundreds of miles at a time, for work, and this is my only vehicle. I am frequently on freeways with a speed limit of 65-70 mph. Knowing there is a chance my vehicle could suddenly suffer a catastrophic engine failure and fire at these speeds is absolutely terrifying, not only for me and any injuries that I might suffer, but also for the drivers sharing the road with me.

Apr 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE On December 10, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM, I experienced a complete and sudden power loss while driving home. Without any warning, my vehicle shut down entirely in the middle of the road. I was unable to move the vehicle to safety, shift it into park or neutral, or regain any control of the vehicle. This left me stranded in an extremely dangerous situation, exposed to oncoming traffic and at significant personal risk. Due to the total failure of the vehicle, I was forced to have it towed to a Jeep dealership. A vehicle of this age and condition should not experience a catastrophic failure of this nature—especially one that creates such a severe safety hazard. This incident has caused serious concern regarding the reliability and safety of my vehicle. A complete loss of power while driving is unacceptable and could have resulted in a far more serious outcome. I am requesting a full investigation into this failure, a clear explanation of the cause, and immediate corrective action. Additionally, I expect Jeep to address the safety implications of this issue and provide assurance that this will not happen again. Please treat this matter with urgency. I expect prompt communication and a resolution.

Apr 2026 ENGINE 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has had multiple safety recalls. My Jeep began losing all engine power while driving down the highway, causing it to jump forward and stall back. During this power malfunction, the engine began smoking and a burning smell was emitted from the engine compartment. I was luckily close enough to home that I made it back to my driveway before it completely lost power. I was worried that it was going to catch fire and cause harm to my surrounding neighbors, so I stood outside for a while to make sure I did not need to call the fire department. I then reached out to Stellantis to have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership because the issues that arose were consistent with the 78C recall. I opened a claim with Stellantis as well to have an inspector look at the vehicle but before they were able to see the vehicle, the dealership "repaired" it and said it was just a malfunctioning piston, and I could come get the Jeep. I refused, because it was still a safety risk with no fix for the recall and did not feel safe putting my safety at risk or others safety on the road at risk. Stellantis sent me a letter a week later saying the vehicle showed no signs of fire or burning and is safe to operate now. I refuse to believe this because a genuine inspection was never done to the vehicle after the incident and now Stellantis is putting my and others safety at risk by saying the vehicle is "fixed".

Apr 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to Recall 78C (NHTSA #25V-766) regarding sand contamination in the engine. The manufacturer officially warns that this defect can cause 'catastrophic engine failure' resulting in a 'vehicle fire' or an 'unrecoverable loss of propulsion'. As of April 2026, the manufacturer has no available fix for this safety hazard. Simultaneously, the vehicle suffers from persistent electrical failures. Despite a repair attempt on March 3, 2026, where the 12V battery was replaced under warranty, the vehicle continues to display 'Aux Switches Temporarily Unavailable' errors accompanied by constant audible chiming while driving. These combined defects create an extreme and unreasonable safety risk. Because the manufacturer has admitted the engine is a fire hazard but cannot provide a repair, the vehicle is effectively unmarketable and unsafe for operation. I am currently grounded and utilizing a rental vehicle as I do not feel safe operating this Jeep.

Apr 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I am reporting a recurring structural failure of the Sky One-Touch power top assembly on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Since August 28, 2024, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of 62 business days across seven separate repair attempts. Safety Risk: The failure involves the tensioning system and internal springs of the power top. The defect has progressed to the point that visible daylight is present through the gaps between the roof assembly and the vehicle body while the top is fully closed. At highway speeds (55–70 mph), this gap causes the roof to lift and oscillate significantly. This creates a severe driver distraction and poses an unreasonable risk of the assembly further destabilizing or detaching from the vehicle while in motion, endangering occupants and trailing traffic. Dealer Misconduct & Repair History: During the third repair attempt, a service associate confirmed the loss of tension in the straps and springs. However, the technician subsequently refused to document these findings. The dealership omitted from their report to Stellantis that they performed unauthorized 'readjustments' and 'screwed the assembly back in' to temporarily mask the defect. This deceptive reporting prevents an accurate warranty history and deliberately avoids Lemon Law accountability. Despite these 'fixes,' the structural seal remains compromised. The vehicle is currently unsafe for highway operation."

Mar 2026 EQUIPMENT The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the radio and navigational system became inoperable when entering the address, name, or phone number. The information was entered, but the data disappeared. The system displayed random information, and the locations were not being saved. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer on four occasions, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer suggested the issue might be with the cell phone. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE has been out of service for a total of 23 days across two separate dealer visits for battery-related safety recall repairs. The vehicle currently has two open recalls with no available remedy: Recall #78C (NHTSA #25V-766) - PHEV safety recall related to hybrid battery fire risk. Parts are unavailable. Recall #A7C (NHTSA #25V-710) - FOTA firmware update recall due to potential loss of power while driving. No fix available. During the most recent service visit (02/26/2026 through 03/11/2026, 13 days) at Town & Country Jeep in Levittown, NY, the hybrid battery was fully removed and replaced under Recall #68C. Despite the battery replacement, the vehicle sometimes stops charging when plugged in, requiring me to unplug and replug to resume charging. The two remaining open recalls have no available parts or fix. One of them (Recall #A7C) involves a potential complete loss of power while driving, which is a serious safety hazard. The 4XE model was discontinued in 2026. I am driving a vehicle with known unresolved safety defects and no timeline for a remedy. No crash or injury has occurred. No fire has occurred.

Mar 2026 STEERING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES In October, my son was driving our Jeep Wrangler 4xe when the vehicle suddenly lost power steering, acceleration, and braking while multiple warning lights were flashing on the dashboard. The vehicle became very difficult to control and created a serious safety concern. We have a video showing all of the warning lights flashing during this incident (it is not allowing me to upload a video below as the file is too large) The vehicle also currently has recalls and service campaigns, including Recall 78C related to a potential engine defect and HBMHCP related to the hybrid battery system. These issues make us feel the vehicle is unsafe and not reliable to drive. The recalls and issues have also affected our ability to use the vehicle as intended and have reduced the value of the vehicle. We are concerned that this vehicle may have a safety defect related to the engine or hybrid/electrical system that could cause loss of power, steering, braking, or vehicle control. We have been told there is currently no fix for these issues and that we should continue driving the vehicle, to park outside and not charge it. This makes us feel the vehicle may be unsafe and unreliable to drive. We are making monthly payments for a vehicle that does not behave as intended.

Mar 2026 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe that I purchased in September of 2024 from Charlie's Jeep in Augusta as a used car with just under 5,000 miles. Now it has about 11,888 miles and has been un-driveable since December 1 due to unresolved safety recalls. The car is a certified used Jeep and is under warranty and has two current major safety recalls, one of which does not have a solution and a fix. The first recall is for a faulty hybrid battery that can catch on fire, and the second recall is for residual sand left in the engine, which can cause a sudden loss of propulsion and/or fire. This sand can migrate to other parts of the car, so an engine replacement would not be a complete fix. Currently, the car has a "Do Not Drive" recommendation from Jeep and as a result, it has been sitting at the dealer since December 1, 2025. Because of the recalls, the value and safety of the car is very much depreciated. I have tried to work with Jeep and the dealer on a reasonable solution to no avail.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Jeep has failed to provide a solution or a refund for the recall 78c for the wrangler 4xe. I am unable to park in my garage or any garage, I’m unable to use the electric features of the hybrid, and I’m uncertain of the fire risk will impact my vehicle. I would like reimbursement for the lack of functionality for the past 4 months. And I would like to turn in the leased vehicle since they still have no solution. I want penalties waived.

Mar 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I am submitting this complaint regarding a new safety incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe after completion of the repair associated with Recall 68C. The Recall 68C repair was completed on January 28, 2026. After that repair, the vehicle experienced new and serious operating failures. The vehicle repeatedly tripped my home charging circuit during charging attempts. In addition, the vehicle's electric mode malfunctioned despite the battery showing charge. The vehicle then experienced loss of propulsion and stalled while driving, creating a serious safety risk. Because of this incident, the vehicle was towed through Jeep Roadside Assistance and is now at Schumacher Jeep in [XXX] for diagnosis. The vehicle is currently not safely operable. Recall 78C also remains open with no available remedy. This complaint is being submitted as a new safety incident following completion of the Recall 68C repair, and it should be reviewed together with my prior ODI complaints, including ODI XXXand ODI XXX. I can provide supporting documentation, including recall records, repair records, tow documentation, and dealer information. Mar 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER CAR WOULD NOT START AND WOULD NOT CHARGE. WHEN JEEP SHUT OFF IT WOULD SHOW THE RED PLUG SYMBOL. ONCE IT FINALLY STARTED, I NOTICED THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL SO I COULDN'T COME TO A COMPLETE STOP FOR VERY LONG IF AT ALL. IF I DID COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND I WAS ON A HILL, IT WOULD START TO ROLL BACKWARDS. WHEN I WOULD ACCELORATE, IT FELT LIKE IT WAS STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, WHEN I WOULD TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE PEDAL IT WOULD CONTINUE TO ACCELORATE A FEW MPH AND THEN WOULD FINALLY SLOW DOWN. AT TIMES IT WOULD NOT WANT TO ACCELORATE, EVEN IF YOU DID HAVE YOUR FOOT ALL THE WAY DOWN. DID NOT WANT TO REVERSE AT TIMES. DIDNT FEEL LIKE IT WANTED TO GO. THE JEEP WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO DRIVE IN E-SAVE, OR ELECTRIC, EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY WAS 100% CHARGED AND HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS. THE JEEP WOULD ONLY DRIVE IN HYBRID MODE. WE HAD THE JEEP AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ONE OF THREE RECALLS THIS JEEP WAS APART OF. IRONICALLY MY JEEP DID NOT START HAVING ISSUES UNTIL THAT SPECIFIC RECALL WAS "FIXED". IF I WERE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS JEEP, NOT ONLY WOULD I CAUSE HARM TO OTHER DRIVERS AROUND ME, BUT MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF THAT DRIVE IN THIS VEHICLE ON A DAILY BASIS. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE FRIDAY THE 13TH WITH NO RESOLUTION.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE See attached document for complaint. Sir: You are aware that this vehicle has two active Recall Notices attached to it; either of which can result in a vehicle fire, sudden loss of power, and loss of life or injury. Which means that I own an expensive vehicle which cannot be safely driven. Nor can it be traded in for another vehicle in its current condition. The manufacturer does not have an available fix for 25V-766 (engine contaminated with sand during manufacturing process); and since this defect can (in their own words) " ... lead to a catastrophic engine failure ... " it is unsafe to drive this vehicle at any speed. The other recall involves defects with the battery pack, which can lead to vehicle fire. There is no available fix for this defect either. My dealer has already attempted unsatisfactorily to correct multiple problems with the hybrid power system unrelated to the recall. Is the NHTSA planning to do anything to assist the thousands of people who own hybrid Jeep Wranglers affected by these defective systems? It would seem to me that the manufacturer should be mandated to repurchase these dangerous vehicles from the owners at market value or to provide a replacement vehicle of equal or greater value. The American drivers who own these dangerous vehicles should not continue to be put at risk any longer.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM JEEP Wrangler 2024 Issues PLATE NUMBER [XXX] BIN # [XXX] To whom it may concern, I would like to request a courtesy incentive or compensation due to the repeated recalls and repair situations with my Jeep Wrangler. There have been three lengthy recall repairs this winter. The extended repair times, especially when parts are back-ordered, have resulted in wasted time and additional mileage on my lease from trips to the dealership, appointments, and test drives. The electric engine issues have been particularly concerning, as the failure has rendered the vehicle inoperable on some occasions, posing a significant safety risk. There have been instances where the vehicle has completely stopped, created a dragging effect, and failed to start in winter, while experiencing malfunctions in all electric components. My fuel consumption has significantly increased over the past three months due to these repairs, and I am no longer able to effectively use the electric engine feature. The service department has been unable to diagnose the electric engine failure after multiple attempts, and as a result, the battery is being overcharged without engaging the electric motor. There have been numerous unresolved issues and repairs that have not been successfully completed. I acquired this hybrid vehicle after considering the advertising regarding its favorable fuel efficiency and the electric rechargeable engine feature. However, this feature has not been utilized this winter due to repeated malfunctions, recalls, or a combination of both. Since late November 2025, this electric engine has consistently ceased to function. Several scheduled repair diagnostic appointments were postponed by the dealer due to a busy service schedule and a shortage of staff at the repair facility. Additionally, I need to request unpaid time off from my job, as the dealer is unable to provide a loan vehicle while my jeep is being repaired. This has caused significant inconvenience and fina INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Mar 2026 ENGINE my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe High Altitude and a serious safety concern related to the ongoing battery fire recall associated with this vehicle. I have leased this vehicle since new and it currently has only approximately 8,200 miles. The vehicle is in excellent, like-new condition and has been very carefully maintained. However, due to the fire safety concerns related to the hybrid battery system, I no longer feel safe driving or even parking this vehicle near my home or garage. Because of these concerns, I have intentionally limited my use of the vehicle, which is reflected in the extremely low mileage. I currently lease the vehicle through Stellantis Financial Services and have approximately 12 payments remaining. When I contacted them regarding my safety concerns, I was directed to Jeep Customer Care for assistance. Given the nature of the safety recall and the fact that the vehicle is essentially new, I am respectfully requesting that Jeep review my situation for possible customer assistance. I would greatly appreciate information on whether any of the following options may be available: • Lease termination assistance • Vehicle replacement or exchange • Manufacturer buyback or repurchase review • Any other recall-related customer relief programs

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN [XXX]) that is subject to a federally mandated safety recall involving the high-voltage battery system. I attempted to have the recall performed by an authorized Jeep/Stellantis dealership, Carson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Carson City, Nevada. During communications with the dealership’s Service Manager, I was informed that the dealership would not perform the recall unless I signed dealership-specific authorization documents and agreed to their internal policies. The dealership further stated that if their evaluation determined the hybrid battery required replacement, they would retain (“quarantine”) the vehicle for an extended period and would not provide alternative transportation beyond a limited initial period, requiring me to pay for a rental thereafter. I objected to being required to pay transportation costs caused by a manufacturer safety recall and to signing waivers as a condition of recall service. I made clear that I was requesting that the recall be performed. The dealership then refused further service and removed me as a customer, stating that because I would not agree to their conditions they would not perform the recall and recommending I find another dealer. I subsequently sent written notice to Stellantis / Jeep corporate headquarters explaining the situation and requesting assistance to complete the recall. Stellantis did not respond to either of my written notices. As a result, my vehicle remains subject to an unresolved safety recall despite my good-faith efforts to have the recall performed by an authorized dealer.
