Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Updated the center screen and minutes later, my Wrangler popped and the frontal collision, CEL, Stability Trak lights came on And the truck came to a halt in traffic on a busy street. I shockingly was not hit, and got the truck to the side of the road. And I was able to army crawl the truck to the dealership. The vehicle was grinding gears and the 4xe system was completely inoperable. This was extremely dangerous.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM While driving the vehicle shut down unexpectedly. This occurred in the first minutes of driving after a software update the night before. I restarted the vehicle and vehicle and it shut down 4 more times in 1 mile of driving.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE The car stalled completely (‘Bricked’) while driving at approx 30mph. Everything cut off, power, steering, braked and the vehicle came to a stop in the road. I put the car in park and restarted it but the engine light has been on ever since. I took it to Jeep who told me to keep driving it unless it got worse and to call back in two days as they had a garage full of jeeps with the same problem.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I was driving down the street and my car turned off in the middle of the road with an electrical stability control failure and brought me to a stop in the middle of the road of busy traffic. I turned the car off and back on, and it was able to get me to a parking lot before shutting off again. From there, I had to get it towed to the dealership out of concern for my safety. Looking into the issue online, looks like a software update I had installed the night before caused the failure and resulted in my car shutting off. This is a major safety concern for me.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE 11-Oct-2025 - Made it about 1/2 Mile on eSave mode @ about 5-6pm. Engine shut down and lost all power going approximately 40mph of Dr. Braley Road in Freetown. Controlled vehicle until it stopper at the stop sign at the corner of Roundsville road and put the car in park and restarted the engine. With eSave mode made it about 1/4 of a mile back towards home before it started again and had to repeat the process of stopping putting the car in park and restarting. Used electric mode to get home. 12-Oct-2025 - Attempted again on Sunday and got about 1/4 of a mile before the problem happened again. Service Electronic Stability Control message popped up this time along with e-Save Mode Temporarily Unavailable, followed by Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable. Limped home again as the car would not go over 15 MPH with it floored.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Loss of motive power. During normal operation, the vehicle suddenly loses a drive power and prompts user to shift into park and push the break before ignition. To reset, I had to stop the vehicle, shift into park and restart. This behavior repeated 4-5 times in an 2 mile trip. The dangerously degraded performance described above was preceded by an OTA software update on 10/11/2025.

Oct 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE In early October 2025 (specifically around October 10), Jeep/Stellantis pushed an over-the-air (OTA) software update via Uconnect to 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe models. This update, intended for system improvements or recalls (e.g., related to hybrid battery management or telematics), instead caused widespread failures in the vehicle's computer systems, particularly the telematics control module (TCM) and powertrain control module (PCM). After the update I experienced the following. - Sudden loss of motive power while driving (e.g., the vehicle shutting off mid-drive, refusing to accelerate, or entering limp mode). - Check Engine Light (CEL) illumination. - Inability to shift gears or recognize transmission states, rendering the vehicle undrivable. - Vehicle stalling multiple times in short distances, leading to to the need for a tow. In my instance I was on a two lane road with no shoulder and no way to drive my vehicle. I was able to move to a parking lot and wait for a tow.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE After the update it did, it will only drive like 20 feet. We lost acceleration and power in the middle of a busy road numerous times. Had to restart the vehicle every time. Severe safety issue, we had to coast into an intersection through a red light because we couldn’t stop because the engine kept stalling.

Jeep acknowledged that the software update made the vehicle inoperable.

Oct 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE While driving on the highway, the car just stops. It says to put it in park and turn on the car engine light comes up. A wrench comes on had to be towed to the dealership. Chrysler is very aware of the issue gave us no warning not to drive the cars I couldn’t have been killed. I was driving on the highway on my car just shut down.

Oct 2025 STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL While driving the car just shit off.. put it in park put my hazzards on and started the car back up. Put it to the test again while backing out of the driveway and it shut off while I’m reverse. The stereo has been glitching for about a couple of month where it constantly has to reboot while driving. It has now caused the issues for the whole car to just die while in motion.. this is I huge safety issue especially with younger kids. If I was on the highway when this would have happened who knows how much more fatal this could have been. I do a ton of highway driving and that’s all we have used the car for and for drive around our small town. I fear that even taking it to the dealership to get it fixed I am not sure i am comfortable in its after features it has..

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE Jeep lunched an OTA update on Friday October 10, 2025 in the afternoon (Los Angeles time area). I did the update when I came home and the next day when I started driving the car it abruptly stopped, signals were blinking including the engine system one and it was stating that I was experiencing an electric issue. It was also asking me to put the car in parking mode and I needed to shut off and restart the car to gain power again but it was stopping really quickly after again. I also have videos that I could not upload here if necessary to show exaclty what is happening.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE I was driving the jeep in my neighborhood when the dashboard flickered and it told me to put the vehicle in park and press the "start" button (same message it would give when you get in the car and get ready to start it, except it was already running and I was driving). Vehicle seemed to lose some power assist features like steering. I wasn't going fast, so it was hard to tell exactly what switched off, but the brakes felt stiff as well. I was able to stop the Jeep, turned it off, and then back on... which *seemed* to resolve the issue but then I had a check engine light on. I have a small diagnostic tool so I plugged it in and it give me 3 codes about control modules experiencing an "improper wake up" (whatever that means). Thankful I was not on the interstate at highway speeds or it could have been very dangerous.

Oct 2025 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My car stalled 16 times on [XXX] due to unknown issues. The first time happened on [XXX] . Then multiple times driving from the first location to my residence in East Quogue and then to the dealer. The car would be in drive and suddenly stall, saying there was an issue with the hybrid motor. It also had multiple engine errors pop up. The car is only 15 months old. The idea that it would stall on a highway is very dangerous. I had to pull over, put the car in park, and sometimes it would power on. Otherwise it would take two to three attempts to start the car to continue driving. It was an extremely hazardous situation. It looks to be a software update error on behalf of Stellantis. This is really scary and unacceptable. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER On 10/11/25 I was driving and the vehicle cut off. Most lights on the dash lit up and message in the screen by the odometer said stop vehicle and put it in park. I did, waited a few minutes and it started up, but the engine light remained on. Third time I got going and home which was a few miles. Next morning g engine light still on. Followed some advice from a jeep forum and did a soft reset and then shut it off and turned it back on and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. The engine light went off when I restarted and remained off for the balance of Sunday 10/12/25. Not sure of any damage this might have done and am I fixed?

Oct 2025 ENGINE This morning my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe check engine light came on and had a loss of power. I had to pull over onto a highway to restart the vehicle. The dealership stated that there was an over the air update that was faulty and that they had no way to fix it, but they stated to bring it into the dealership service department even though vehicle is currently not drivable or unsafe to operate.

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE While driving my 2024 4XE, the engine would automatically turn off and the message would display that I needed to pull over put it in park and restart the car. Engine light then popped on after that so I took it to the local auto shop. nothing was coming up on their computer. Decided it was probably just a bit of a fluke. Decided to leave there and head to the grocery store while driving on a main road with multiple cars around my vehicle did it again thank God I was able to manage safely to get the car into a parking lot. Called up our dealership was able to safely get the vehicle to the dealership same day. Engine shut off at least four times and that small 1 hour window of driving.

Oct 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Received over OTA UPDATE ON FRIDAY October 10th and Saturday the car was not drivable.. the car would start but shut off and lose power and the message was To shift into park and restart car.. this happened several times till I was able to drive the less than a mile to get home..thankfully this happened very close to my as there was no warning... and because the car just shut off if I was on a highway this would have caused an accident..

Oct 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE I performed a software update on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler as prompted by the Uconnect system. Immediately after performing that update the next time I turned the car on the engine completely shut off, and the dashboard blinked shift to park and then drive. The engine continued intermittently, completely shutting off while driving. It became clear after an online search that this was a common issue happening to Jeep Wrangler users who had performed this software update. This was terrifying. Supposedly there is a fix in the form of a new software update, being pushed out, but I have not been able to power cycle. The vehicle into performing that software update to fix the car.
