| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Driving down the road, Jeep suddenly says shift to park and loses all power stalling in the middle the road. This happened twice on October 14, 2025 and needed a tow truck to be brought to a dealership. When it loses power everything locks up including steering so you can even pull over safely to the side of the road. This is a very serious issue that can easily cause a deadly accident and needs to be addressed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | After an automatic UConnect software update on Saturday 10/11/25, my vehicle stalled out multiple times while driving. Even though it's in drive, the vehicle automatically shifted into park, the dashboard lit up, and the vehicle dead stopped in the middle of traffic. I took it to a Jeep dealership near me where they said many drivers are having the same issue. Worst than that, is that I had to call Chrysler just to get a rental car approval, but since the incident happened on a Saturday of a holiday weekend, I have been 4 days without a car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | Complete loss of power in vehicle after an update. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | On Friday 10/10 a message appeared on the dash asking to do an update. I hit yes. I was parked and had to go into a store. I came out and proceeded to drive onto a busy 4 lane road. I got onto the road and increased speed when the car stalled and the wheel locked forcing me to have to put the hazards on and came to a stop in the middle of an intersection. I was almost hit from multiple sides. I managed to restart the car and pull into a parking lot. It then had to be towed to the dealership. I have learned that there was a glitch with this update causing similar issues with many other jeeps. This is very dangerous | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN | After an OTA firmware update, I started driving as normal for a couple of blocks, I stopped to pick up my wife who was walking. She got into the car, loses the door as I began to accelerate the car suddenly stopped, the engine quit immediately. I put the transmission back in Park I was able to restart and proceed to my destination a short distance away. The Check Engine Light was illuminated. After an hour stop I started the vehicle to return home it drove normal and the CEL cleared itself. My concern is that this could happen again and could be catastrophic at highway speeds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Saturday morning, approx 10:00 am vehicle screen showed it was updated U-Conn (not sure exactly) when update finished vehicle lost power while driving (*Note 4xe Hybrid electric Jeep in hybrid mode). Every light on instrument cluster lit up. I was able to coast to the side of the road and park. The display said to place vehicle in park and hit start. I was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle would drive for 3-5 minutes and then completely lose electrical power again. This is VERY SCARY to happen while driving, losing power steering, power brakes and being a sitting duck in traffic! When we looked on line, it appears this is an issue with 4xe electric jeeps and many, many people have had the same issue. We were very lucky to have not had a major collision. Jeep needs to be accountable for this safety issue, how many people were not as lucky to avoid a collision. Completely unacceptable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | In the middle of driving, with the new update alert of Uconnect Box (I wasn't updating the Uconnect), the car suddenly stops in the middle of the road and told me to shift to P (Parking) to Start while I am on D (Driving Mode), then, lost power and stopped. After turned it all the way off and back on, the CEL came on. The car would drive, proceeded on and within a few minutes, it did it again. Loss of power and it is telling me to shift to P and press Power to Start. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | On October 13, 2025, I experienced three separate incidents involving my Jeep Wrangler 4xe while driving in Hybrid Mode at approximately 35 mph. First incident: Around 5:10 PM, the vehicle suddenly lost speed, stalled erratically, and displayed the message “Shift to D to Drive” on the screen while the “D” on the gear selector was flashing. The check engine light also came on. I was able to safely pull over and restart the vehicle. Second incident: Around 5:13 PM, less than a mile later, the same issue occurred again while the check engine light remained on. I again pulled over and restarted the vehicle. Third incident: Around 5:20 PM, the same problem repeated for a third time. After the third occurrence, I called the dealership where I purchased the vehicle to report the issue. The service department representative immediately recognized the problem and informed me that 13–14 vehicles had already come in that same day with the same issue. Because I was only about 3 miles away, I drove carefully at low speed with my hazard lights on and dropped off the vehicle at the dealership. At the service center, the staff member stated that it might be an electrical issue possibly related to a recent Uconnect+ software update. However, I had not received any prior information, warnings, or recall alerts regarding this issue — neither through the Jeep app nor by email. I am especially concerned that the dealership was aware of multiple vehicles with the same issue yet provided no notification to affected owners. I later discovered that other Jeep Wrangler 4xe owners have reported the exact same issue — the dash blinking “D” while driving, sudden loss of motive power, and the message “Shift to D to Drive” appearing even though the vehicle was already in drive. These reports match my experience precisely, indicating that this is not an isolated problem. This is an extremely serious safety issue. The vehicle’s loss of motive power while driving unexpectedly puts drivers and | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I was driving my vehicle on the highway at 60mph. The car turned itself off, I lost power steering and brakes and drove into a drainage culvert after almost hitting several cars. The vehicle would not restart initially and I had to wait 5 minutes before it started back up. It died 3 more times with in 1 mile before I made it to a safe area to park the vehicle. There was no warning before this happened. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Friday, 10/10/25- And over the air update loaded via the radio. Online chatter had rumors of full loss of propulsion after the update, recommendation was to cancel the update to prevent failure. I cancelled the update multiple times. On Sunday afternoon, [XXX]- Uconnect software update ran anyway. Within 30 seconds of completion, the vehicle loss power on the highway, FULL motor/engine shut down on a busy highway. Warning lights and sounds galore, including "shift to park, service transmission." Pulled over, did a full key cycle/restart, vehicle had numerous dashboard warning lights on. Limped vehicle toward home. Would run for 30 seconds, then shut down again. Had to repeat this cycle 5 times to get home 1 mile. Absolutely no guidance from jeep, except for a few posts on social media pages. There was another software update that when through, and the vehicle seems to be working better now, but we do not trust it. Losing motive power on the highway with my wife and [XXX] child is a MAJOR safety issue, which could lead to injury or death. Demanding full investigation to the issue, and a discontinuation of forced OTA updates. Recall. Now! | Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving in e save mode car made me put vehicle in park mid drive & shuts off | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | Car stopped dead as I merged into a major highway and said hybrid battery issue and requested to be moved into park. I turned off the car and on and put it in esave mode to move it - very dangerous | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | After a UConnect software update was performed the vehicle shutdown. Upon starting the vehicle the check engine light came on with several other dashboard lights and after driving the car for a few seconds the engine would shut down and would say to park and turn off vehicle. After a couple restarts and experiencing the same shutdown two more times I was able to drive in e-save but felt the vehicle was in limp mode and the engine light still remained illuminated. Called the Jeep dealership and explained the problem and the first thing they asked was did you just do a software update. I said yes and he said that’s the problem that they just had 35 Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s towed to their dealership yesterday. He said that Jeep does not have a fix for the issue as of yet. It throws a fault code P1E1D. So seems that the recent Uconnect software update is rendering all Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s useless. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Software update caused power issue full speed driving | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | the vehicle turns off due to a software patch and not drivable. it turns off at highway speeds | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Received a Uconnect update on 10/10/2025 OTA. Vehicle is no longer opperating correctly and e-save mode will no longer turn on. Vehicle is randomly shutting off while driving and check engine light is now present. Dropping at a jeep location to investigate as vehicle is not save to opperate when driving due to issue of randomly dying while in motion. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Car flashed “Shift to Park”, stalled in an intersection and now check engine light is on. This is related to Jeep’s ridiculous and unacceptable software issue. Despite a “fix” being allegedly issued by Jeep, this issue still happened today November 14th despite me never accepting their flawed software update. This is an ALARMING safety issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN | While driving down the strip, the system lost all power. It made it very difficult to brake or steer the car. Had to pull over on a busy road and get a tow. Jeep sent a software update that broke the powertrain, and now the car is unusable at the dealership with no fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | While driving on the road the vehicle suddenly loses power and shuts down. The check engine light illuminates and a message saying shift to park appears on the dashboard. You have no control of speed at this point. The vehicle stops and stalls in the middle of the road. Once you shift to park you have to completely shut off the vehicle while in the middle of the road and restart the engine. The vehicle will drive a few hundred feet and repeat the stall. It is completely scary and dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Vehicle shutdown. Loss of motive power after updated software from Uconnect. Check engine light pop up and unable to drive | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Completed OTA update previous day. Driving the next day 1 mile into the drive the check engine light, went off, a warning on the dash said something about electrical stability system failure, showed a picture of the jeep with red electrical highlighted. The car ran very poorly, could not accelerate and the car slowed from 35 to 15. During this time the car flashed instructions to put the car in park. After about 1/2 mile I slowed to stop and put the Jeep in park. Restarted by pushing holding brake and pushing start button. Ran well for 10 + miles, then same thing happend again. The Jeep flashed engine warning light, dings and lights flashing. Had to into the left turn lane and came to stop at the stop light. Put the Jeep in park again, tried to restart but this time it did not restart. The gear stuck in Park with the P flashing on the indicator. Had to pull the emergency release cord to put Jeep into N to push to a safe location. Jeep failed to start or move from P and is at the shop now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | On 10/10/25, I lost drive power after the OTA Uconnect update. On my drive, I abruptly had absolutely no acceleration, the gear indicator on the dash started flashing, the power mode indicator disappeared, an alert said shift into park and press the brake + start button, and the check engine light and red wrench lights came on. I was still able to steer and brake with power steering and brakes for maybe 30 seconds before those went out too. This happened in the middle on an intersection which was terrifying. After putting it into park and pressing the brake and start button it started back up and I could drive it normally for a little bit, but it happened two more times on my 1.5 mi drive home. I called AAA to tow it to the dealership (Herb Chambers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT of Millbury, 2 Latti Farm Road). The dealership informed me that Jeep instructed them not to work on my vehicle. The dealership had me contact Jeep customer service myself on 10/13/25. I have called Jeep Customer Service three times with no update or communication from the case manager and I am without a vehicle as of the time of this submission. Both the dealership, Herb Chambers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT of Millbury and Jeep Customer Service have not been cooperative or willing to assist me in this safety concern. I have lost a day and a half of work and still have no information or status update. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The jeep die while I was driving on CR530. Check engine light came on and stuff flashed I quickly pulled over rto the shoulder. After ten minutes I was able to drive it into a dunkin donut shop but it turned off three times risking my life each time. I had my hazard lights on but people dont care. Called dealership and waited for the jeep to be towed | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
