May 2026 SEAT BELTS We were traveling on XXX near XXX at 60 MPH (Speed Limit 70 MPH but it was raining). The vehicle in front of us abruptly stopped due to a rear crash causing the chain of vehicles behind to brake suddenly. I had to hard brake - the emergency collision warning turned on but at the same time - the 2nd row driver side passenger's seat belt automatically released putting the occupant in danger. May 2026 SERVICE BRAKES,BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On 2 separate occasions, under similar circumstances, the collision warning systems, both front and rear, applied the brakes for no reason. When reversing slowly (foot slowly off brake pedal) from a parking space on an almost empty rooftop parking lot; I confirmed there was no foot traffic or moving vehicles before I started to back up. The brakes automatically applied (no screen display); I reapplied the brake and was then able to reverse normally. On a normal service visit to my dealership, I mentioned the incident and it was noted on my invoice. About 3 weeks later, at a full stop at a stop sign, I was about to turn left onto another road. After confirming there was no cross traffic of any kind, and before I had completely released the brake, the collision assist engaged and suddenly applied the brakes (again with no screen display but an audible thump). Again, I was able to reapply the brake and then accelerate to make the turn. Since the same event had happened twice, I went directly to my local Hyundai Service Center and reported it. They kept the vehicle for a week and tested it thoroughly. Nothing showed as being faulty. When I picked up my vehicle on 5/22/26, they informed me that there's a known issue (NHTSA Campaign # 26V316) with other Hyundai models (not the Palisade) and that an update for the forward collision avoidance system in those models will be coming mid-summer. As the Palisade is not included in the Campaign list of makes/models, but has the exact same event/problem, I wanted to report this for inclusion in the safety recall. I was not injured in either event but anyone with this issue could potentially be at risk in the future.

May 2026 STEERING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE I am filing a vehicle safety complaint regarding a 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy due to repeated safety-related mechanical failures and ongoing defects that create dangerous and unpredictable driving conditions. Since purchase in August 2024, the vehicle has experienced multiple serious issues, including steering rack problems causing sticking, resistance, abnormal noises, and inconsistent steering response while driving. The vehicle has also experienced rear automatic braking/sensor malfunctions causing sudden stopping and grinding during operation, creating unsafe driving conditions and concerns about unintended braking behavior. Additional issues include transmission and gear engagement concerns, engine replacement under recall, infotainment system replacement, ongoing recall-related concerns, and excessive tire wear requiring replacement of all four tires at approximately 29,000 miles. The premature tire wear raises concerns regarding possible steering, suspension, alignment, or drivetrain defects. There are also concerns involving unusually fragile windshield and window glass, which appears to be a commonly reported issue among Hyundai Palisade owners. Despite repeated dealership visits, diagnostic evaluations, repairs, and major component replacements, the problems continue. The vehicle has spent an estimated total of approximately five months in repair facilities or undergoing service evaluations since purchase. The steering issues and rear automatic braking/sensor malfunctions are the most serious concerns because they directly impact the safe operation of the vehicle. The vehicle has demonstrated unpredictable behavior, including grinding, sticking steering response, and sudden stopping. These ongoing defects have caused significant safety concerns and loss of confidence in the reliability and safe operation of the vehicle. I believe these issues warrant further investigation due to the potential risk to drivers, passengers, and others on the road

May 2026 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I feel that the recent hyundai Tucson recall should be expanded to 2024 palisades. My sensors often go off when it is unnecessary on my palisade. Additionally, I feel like recall NHTSA Recall Number 25V607000 has not been corrected in a timely manner. I've requested to my local dealership to fix this recall multiple times and each time have been told they don't have the parts and its "slow moving". The recall has been open for long enough I feel that shouldn't be the case, especially for seat belt buckles. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 SEAT BELTS Hyundai has failed to provide replacement of recalled seatbelts in a timely manner. The dealership has been unable to provide the replacement parts due to back order and lack of supplies from Hyundai and this is unacceptable. Hyundai has repeatedly shown poor quality in their safety, testing, and products and the consumer is the one taking the fall with death traps for vehicles. This vehicle has had multiple hazardous safety recalls in the last year alone - two still pending a resolution.

May 2026 STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE While driving on a high-speed interstate with two children in the vehicle, and without any prior warning signs or issues, the dashboard began displaying sequential warnings from multiple Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensors. As the vehicle continued cycling through numerous dashboard warnings, the power steering failed, making the vehicle difficult to control. Additional electronic systems also began malfunctioning, including the display screen, cameras, and safety sensors, while the driver attempted to safely maneuver the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. After reaching the shoulder, the driver powered the vehicle off in an attempt to reset the electrical systems. However, once powered down, the engine would no longer start. When the tow truck arrived, the technician was required to jump-start the battery in order to shift the vehicle into neutral for towing. The technician also showed the driver a low-voltage reading on the jump-start device, indicating a possible alternator or charging-system failure. Hyundai dealership representatives later stated that diagnostic testing of the alternator and electrical system showed no faults and informed the customers that the battery was simply dead. After the dealership replaced the battery, the customers drove the vehicle approximately 15 miles to their residence. During that drive, the vehicle again began displaying the same sequence of sensor and system failures. The power steering failed a second time, and the same electrical malfunctions experienced during the initial incident were repeated.

May 2026 SEAT BELTS,SEATS Vehicle has been at dealership since March 21, 2026 due to multiple active safety recalls and unresolved repair issues. Dealer confirmed recalls involving defective seat belt buckle assemblies that may fail to properly latch and a separate recall involving third-row occupant protection/ejection mitigation safety standards. One recall currently has no available remedy or repair solution. Vehicle has remained out of service for an excessive amount of time waiting on backordered parts and unresolved safety repairs. Manufacturer and dealership have not provided a clear repair completion timeline. Dealer communication has been poor and calls often go unanswered. I no longer feel this vehicle is safe for my family or small children due to the nature of the recalls involving seat belt safety and occupant protection during crashes or rollovers. The safety defects and inability to timely repair the vehicle have caused significant hardship while continuing to make monthly lease payments for a vehicle that cannot safely be used. Dealer and manufacturer have confirmed the recalls and repair delays.

May 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING I am writing to file a formal vehicle safety complaint regarding recurring, dangerous, and complete electrical system failures in my Hyundai Palisade. These failures have rendered the vehicle undriveable on multiple occasions, created a direct safety hazard for my family — including a young child — and have caused significant financial harm. The manufacturer's and dealership's failure to provide an adequate remedy. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this potential safety defect. Apr 2026 AIR BAGS,SEAT BELTS The car has two safety recalls and Hyundai has not bee able to provide us with a safe vehicle to drive. NHTSA Recall Number 26V034000 does not have a remedy and NHTSA Recall Number 25V607000 we are still awaiting parts. We have called our dealership and Hyundai Customer care for a solution. We are told they have no available seat belts to make the repairs. We have asked multiple times for a loaner or rental vehicle but we are told there is nothing available for us. I was told today we can rent our own vehicle and they will reimburse us $60 per day. A comparable vehicle is $157.50 per day to rent. My family is not safe in this vehicle and we need a solution.

Apr 2026 SEAT BELTS My 2024 Hyundai Palisade has been grounded and rendered completely undrivable for 15 cumulative days as of April 21, 2026, due to an open safety recall for which Hyundai has stated no remedy currently exists and no timeline for a fix has been provided. The vehicle was taken out of service on April 6,2026. due to the open recall 292. Hyundai issued interim notification letters in March 2026 advising that the remedy is still under development. On April 21, 2026, I contacted Hyundai Motor America headquarters directly by phone. I was told that the defect is not covered and that I simply must wait with no estimated repair date. I am making monthly loan payments and paying full insurance on a vehicle I cannot drive. Hyundai has provided a loaner vehicle that is not comparable to my 2024 Palisade. I am filing this complaint because: 1.I own a vehicle with a confirmed safety defect for which no fix exists. 2.Hyundai has provided no timeline for resolution. 3.I am suffering ongoing financial harm — loan payments and insurance — on an undrivable vehicle. 4.Hyundai headquarters has verbally refused to take responsibility. I am requesting that NHTSA pressure Hyundai to expedite the recall remedy and provide relief to affected owners who cannot use their vehicles. I am also pursuing my rights under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act due to Hyundai’s failure to repair a warranted defect within a reasonable time. I am available to be contacted for follow-up by NHTSA investigators. Thank you [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Apr 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER My small sunroof spontaneously exploded upwards while I was driving on a flat, smooth, straight road at 45 mph (the speed limit) with no cars in front of or behind me. There are no trees overhanging this road. I do have a dashcam showing this. When it happened, I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a shower of glass flying behind the car which also indicates that the sunroof exploded upwards and not inwards. From the pictures, you can clearly see that the glass did not get hit and break inwards and down. The glass flew up and the broken glass that is still together is domed upwards. This is a safety issue because the explosion was extremely loud which could have caused me to react and hit something or go off the road. The flying glass could have hit someone. There was no warning as this happened suddenly and spontaneously.

Apr 2026 SEAT BELTS,SEATS There is a recall for the displacement of my 3rd row headrest. I have small children and are in the 3rd row daily. Also, although my 3rd row is under recall for mechanical issues, my 3rd row did malfunction and close on items in the 3rd row on 4/5/26. The sensors didn't detect that there were larger items in my vehicle and continued to close down. Also at this time, the right side wouldn't raise back up after me pushing the button multiple times. The seats not returning to an upright position with pressing the button, has happened multiple times. I never received notification that there are safety recalls on my vehicle. The reason I was given by Hyundai was that I didn't receive the notifications was because I didn't purchase my car from a Hyundai dealership. I am extremely concerned for the safety of my children in my vehicle. I tried to get the seatbelt recall repaired on 4/11/26, but the dealership didn't give me a loaner vehicle, as the Hyundai care center had instructed them to do. I called back to the same dealership today, and they were only able to give me a 4 door car ( Hyundai Sonata). This vehicle doesn't have enough seats for my children. There were no warning messages prior to the malfunction.
