| Feb 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | There are a few safety issues I've experienced multiple times while driving this car. To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any warning lamps or indicators on the dash related to these issues. When driving, the car will activate the emergency braking system, braking incredibly hard at freeways speeds and street driving speeds even though there is nothing near or close to the front of the car. The car has braked so intensely that items fly around the car and that both my son and I have experienced back, neck, and shoulder pain from the unexpected/severe braking. The other safety issue I've experienced is the lane departure/keeping sensors going off on the dash and the car pulls itself out of the lane. It seems like the car thinks I've departed the lane and is trying to pull me back into the lane, but, in reality, I am in the lane and the car is pulling itself into the next lane (sometimes even when another car is next to me or approaching). This is a safety concern since it causes swerving and my car could crash into another car or a lane divider if I didn't react so quickly to overpower the automatic lane departure. It's also a recurring issue to have to fight the car to keep it in the lane and makes for very tense driving. The last issue is an electrical one, I believe, related to the infotainment panel. The power on the infotainment system goes off unexpectedly while driving. It sometimes will not power on during start up. If it turns off while driving, sometimes I have to stop, turn off the car, and restart it to get it working again and other times it reboots itself after a minute or a few. All of these issues have happened countless times, as long as I've had the car. I've had it inspected and during the most recent inspection (Sept 2024) they asked me to come in to drive the car so that the issues would be reproduced while the mechanic was sitting in the passenger seat. I was able to reproduce the issues while the mechanic was in the car with me. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 2 | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Drivers side mirror cracked. No contact was made with anything, it just cracked. Honda would not cover as part of warranty. It created a huge safety concern as the visual out of this mirror was on two different planes and you could not see clearly to make a lane change. I did have it replaced but had to pay for the replacement. With this car being less that a year old, and how it cracked spontaneously I felt that should have been a covered warranty replacement. This issue is currently being investigated for a class action lawsuit. I have the mirror as evidence, if it was made with faulty materials. I've owned nothing short of 27 vehicles in my life, 7 of which were Honda's and I've never had this happen. I really think that the mirrors were a manufacturers defect on this car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I fielded a recall warning in November 2024 related to faultypower steering gearbox worm wheel. Beginning in November 2024 through 02/04/25 I have contacted Honda of Harvey (home dealership) every month in an attempt to secure an appointment to rectify the defective part. Honda of Harvey continually promises to get back to us each time with no followup. I don't know what the problem with the dealership is experiencing to ignore a request to fix a national recall. Could you guys please attempt to expedite resolution of the failure to address the recall notification. I am worried for the safety of my vehicle and anyone using the vehicle. I have provded my contact in formation below. | Feb 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I was driving on an empty two lane road going 35-40 mph. The car braked suddenly and the BRAKE warning light came on but no sound. On the way to the service department at the dealership it happened again, only this time I was going 20 mph and in traffic. There was a car in front of me at least 3 car lengths but was moving. I heard the brakes of the car behind me squeal as he avoided hitting me. No sound from my car, the brake light came on, I also put my foot on the brake thinking maybe the car sensed an encroachment I didn’t notice. But there was none, so I released the brake before coming to a complete stop. The service department inspected the system and could not reproduce or confirm any issues. There was no warning sound, the brake came on at the same time as the light. There was no warning, the light came on at the same time as the brake | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | STRUCTURE | The liftgate closed on my head. I quickly moved out of the way. My husband opened the liftgate and it closed on his head. The car was in the garage with the garage door open. There was no warning. The service department at the dealership could not reproduce or confirm the malfunction. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Factory Tailgate mounted rear backup camera shows a very soft image, and gets a washed out appearance when backing up in near total darkness. This is when it would be most useful, unfortunately, this is when it is useless. The lens has been cleaned so dirty films on the lens surface should not be an issue. I do not believe this meets up with standards set by the government, for the capabilies of a rear view camera. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 2024 Honda CR-V VIN [XXX] Phantom Braking Car has experienced phantom braking numerous times since March 2024 when new. Initially occurred within one week of driving the new vehicle. Did not report it to dealer at first as we thought it was something that we were doing, or some sensitivity that the car typically exhibited. At random times car decelerates quickly as if pressing on brakes, or losing engine power (fuel supply, ignition, etc.), or downshifting quickly. After a few seconds car can be accelerated and resumes speed. In virtually every case it has occurred on dry, clear roads with no vehicles or obstructions ahead. Car, cameras and sensors were clean. Occurs when accelerating either slowly or rapidly. Occurs when entering a highway from an ON ramp. Occurs at 10 mph or 70 mph. Driver is not touching the paddle downshifter. Sometimes deceleration occurs multiple times within seconds after the previous - 2 to 3 times. Rapid slowing does not occur when in cruise control, or when manually increasing speed in cruise control. In all cases Red Brake warning light in instrument panel does not flash and there is nothing immediately in front of car. This condition is extremely dangerous, especially when there are vehicles behind, and they are not expecting my vehicle to slow rapidly. Occurs when accelerating to pass a car ahead. Or when trying to accelerate onto a highway to match speed of approaching traffic. We are always in fear of being hit from behind by unsuspecting drivers. We’ve come to expect the hesitation/braking to happen and drive even more defensively. A log of events is available. _______________________________ Dec. 21, 2024 Picked up car from servicing at Honda City, So. Portland, ME. Went back and discussed incident with Service Manager. They suggested keeping the car for an extended period to have technician drive it and try to reproduce problem. January 15, 2025Met with Berlin City Service Manager to discuss phantom braking again. | Jan 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | On [XXX] I parked my 2024 Honda CR-V EXL on my driveway as I do every night. Night time temperatures that night dipped into the digits, around 6 or 7 degrees. The next morning, as I prepared to take my wife to work, I noticed a vertical crack on the driver's side rear view mirror. My vehicle is still less than one-year old. Online I have read that this is not an isolated occurrence with Honda CR-Vs. I will take my car back to the Honda dealer in Bethesda, MD tomorrow, January 29th. | Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The system’s hybrid lithium ion battery froze and initially would not communicate the smart key to the vehicle. Then when it finally did, the system power was cut in half due to safety emissions problems. Unknown at this time if Honda will have a fix for this situation. | Jan 2025 | STEERING | I received a safety recall notice for my vehicle in November and immediately called 3 different local Honda dealerships in the area to try to get it serviced. None were able to accommodate me or schedule me for service. I was put on a wait list at some, but still have not been called to schedule. Today I followed up again and still can not get an appointment as they say they don't have parts. Your letter says Honda is supposed to remedy this in 60 days, but it appears that will never happen. How do I get them to fix the car as they are required to do? I am filing this complaint per the letter. Thanks for your help. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | In November 2024 I received the recall notice for our 2024 Honda CR-V power steering, Honda Campaign number QJT. I called our dealership on December 2, 2024 and was told they were not scheduling the repairs at the time and they took my information and said I would be contacted by them when scheduling takes place. I waited and didn't hear back. Today, January 8, 2025 I called to inquire. I was told they are scheduling the repairs in November 2025! Way past the sixty days from the date of first contact. My complaint is that this recall is not being made a priority from Penske Honda, Indianapolis Indiana. Any safety recall should be repaired in a timely fashion. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
