Date Component Summary Severity Mileage
Dec 2023 STEERING my steering wheel is sticking while driving. It has not caused an incident yet, but is causing me to oversteer consistently as it takes too much resistance to overcome the stuck position when trying to make smooth steering movements especially around long slow curves. Even when going straight on multiple lane roads it is quite difficult to make small corrections to stay in my lane. It is bad enough that I will not allow my wife or daughter to operate the car until I have time to take it to the service department.

Nov 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE I put my Honda CRV Hybid away in my garage while it was running on battery power. It is silent when not in gear and operating on battery power. The key fob was in the car. I forgot to shut off the power switch before getting out of the car. When the battery drained, the engine started, filling the garage with exhaust, creating an extremely dangerous, and perhaps life threatening condition.

Nov 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER Front passenger window exploded while driving early in the morning. 1000 miles on vehicle. Only owned for 2 1/2 weeks. No visible issues or scratches and no objects found in vehicle. Body damage from glass noted on the outside.

Nov 2023 STEERING The steering started sticking, jerking and making a popping noise about 5,000 miles and now at 6900 miles it is getting worse. When going straight it is the most noticeable as it feels like the steering binds and then when I adjust to the left or the right it frees up and jerks so that I have to overcompensate and then it jerks in the other direction. At speeds below 10 mph if I move the steering wheel left and right it makes a clunking sound. Randomly during a turn the steering sticks. All the above happens with the lane assist both on and off. When it got worse the dealer said it is the electronic power steering but the part is on back order so there is no immediate fix available.

Nov 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM For months, the infotainment screen has flashed on and off or delayed in coming on after vehicle has started. The delay would take minutes or hours and eventually became days. Now the screen has been completely blank for about two weeks now. You can hear the radio and adjust it with the steering wheel controls but cannot adjust it with the volume control on the infotainment center. CANNOT access any menus/apps nor make any adjustments to any safety equipment or vehicle settings. CANNOT turn the back seat reminder on when I put a child in the backseat. The back up camera does not work. I'm sure there are other safety concerns I cannot think of when not able to access certain menus or apps on the entertainment center.

Nov 2023 STEERING Primarily at higway speeds, there is a slight binding/resistance that has to be overcomed when making a small steering correction when turning the steering wheel slightly to the right. Dealer turned off all driving assisted computer programs and said problem fixed. The problem still exsists. The steering movement is no entirely free.

Oct 2023 POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE The car makes loud noise when the speed was about 50-60 MPH on a highway, the RPM went above 50 - 75. It wouldn't accelerate as I pushed the gas pedal. It's not moving as required. It was scary. It's dangerous. Something is wrong with the system, or transmission. Please fix it. Thanks.

Sep 2023 AIR BAGS The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 75-80 MPH, the contact rear-ended another vehicle in front. The air bags did not deploy. The impact caused soreness in her chest and lower back; however, medical attention was not received. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the collision center but was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was not deemed totaled by the insurance company. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,300. The VIN was unavailable.

Sep 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The Reverse camera unit is turning black and white often (while randomly it's switching to color). The sudden change in the image coloring is distracting me a lot while I'm driving. I had taken the vehicle back to dealership the immediate day after I bought my vehicle, they were able to reproduce it and asked me to leave the vehicle and after a week I was told the case is with Honda as there are many complaints across many vehicles, while dealer is waiting for Honda's solution and I was asked to take my vehicle. With no date for the fix, it's frustrating & puts me in lots of mental pressure. I've email thread with dealership if there needs any additional proof.

Aug 2023 LANE DEPARTURE Lane keeping/departure function could easily lead to an accident IMO. 1. Operation is either somewhat random, or uses complex rules to determine how to behave in differing circumstances, making it feel unpredictable. 2. Steering correction force can last too long, resulting in over-correction (could push you into oncoming traffic). 3. "Normal" setting is virtually useless—no correction until one is almost half into opposing lane. 4. On a road with no outside line, the feature could easily push the car off the road.
