Mar 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The Forward Collision Warning System has not functioned on my brand new 2023 Ram Laramie 1500 Limited since I bought it on March 3, 2023. I can make my vehicle available for inspection at your convenience. I feel that this feature, although not standard equipment, not functioning puts both myself and my family at risk through not functioning. The issue has been confirmed by a dealer. Although the system generated no error codes the technician was able to confirm/verify that the forward collision alert system does not engage as designed. I have not received a diagnosis aside from the selling dealer (who refused to test drive the vehicle to verify the failure) telling me that with no error code that they would not be able to diagnose it. The second dealer (who acknowledged the malfunction) noted that it may be a software issue on the attached invoice. RAM Customer Care was not helpful at all and stated that without an error code that they would not escalate my concerns. I've received no error codes or messages indicating that the system is not functioning. The Forward Collision Warning System has engaged at least 4 times since I've been driving the truck but not reliably or consistently which proves to me that something is wrong.
