| May 2026 | SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I have had multiple issues and repairs completed including two recalls for the battery. Two repairs to the flapper in ac system and damper in front end replaced under 24000 miles. I have had two radios and amp replaced and now need another being it does the same as before and never works when I try to use usb and over heats my phone, which the dealership has been non compliant with warranty being they either state I can’t duplicate or do not produce full history reports. I have had three dealership make repairs in the last 2 years and it is now approaching 36000 and they are aware of the reoccurring issues. I have been instructed not to charge in or near a my home but that is why I bought the hybrid for the electric as well. They keep stating they have no loaners and I would be without my vehicle for over two days just for diagnostics. They have had the jeep in the shop and stated the radio had turned itself on when Jeep was not on. There are definitely many electrical issues connecting these things and it is just being pushed off by Stellantis. Now there looks to be a stress crack in front windshield I am taking to a windshield company as there are no visible rock chips just crack from bottom 1/4 way up and running. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Complete failure of entire instrument cluster including speedometer, tachometer, odometer, and all warning indicators making vehicle unsafe to drive. Issue occurred on startup without warning. Dealership confirmed that instrument cluster is faulty. Searched and found previous recalls for this instrument cluster on similar vehicle year/make/model but my VIN was not included. Please expand recall to include other affected VINs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | SUSPENSION | My Jeep develops a "death wobble" whenever the vehicle goes over a bridge junction or bump at highway speeds. I have taken it to the dealer on several occasions and they have been unable to pinpoint the issue,. When my husband personally witnessed the problem and went in to complain, the dealer replaced a rear shock absorber, but the problem persists. The Jeep shakes and vibrates violently and uncontrollably and the problem has become more frequent and more violent. I have to come to an almost complete stop to relieve the wobble/vibration, which is very dangerous on a highway! It happened twice today, Saturday, May 23, 2026, on the highway when I went over bridges at 65 - 70 mph. The issues has been persistent since the vehicle reached approx. 5000 miles. I feel unsafe driving my Jeep on the highway. I know that it has been a problem that was covered under an previous agreement/recall for Jeeps through 2020. manufacturing year. However, since my Jeep is a 2023, I do not believe the extended warranty applies to my vehicle. I am a teacher and I can't afford to pay for repairs, which may run thousands of dollars. Also, I feel my vehicle is unsafe to drive on the highway, which precludes me from driving to my job on the highway. Please advise! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The vehicle experienced a sudden, catastrophic, un-commanded emergency braking event while moving in active traffic.Despite the driver's seatbelt being securely buckled, the vehicle overrode its own safety programming, dropping all propulsion, violently engaging the electronic brakes, and forcing the transmission straight into Park at low speeds at an intersection. This occurred immediately after the vehicle received an official factory high-voltage hybrid safety recall remedy last month. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership, where a diagnostic scan logged a false 'Door Ajar / AutoPark' fault code. The safety system critically malfunctioned by ignoring a buckled seatbelt to execute a dangerous emergency stop in traffic. The vehicle is completely unsafe to operate on public roads due to an unpredictable brake and powertrain safety override defect. The manufacturer is currently refusing to provide direct-bill rental assistance while the vehicle sits undiagnosed on the dealer lot. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,WHEELS | I began to notice some occasional loss of the steering with violent shakes - the death wobble - and once in the rain down a street with potholes which seemed to agitate the car further. I made an appointment to get the car checked and took it into the dealership. At that time, the tech mentioned that there was a recall out - which I had seen in the mail before - and asked if I wanted to get the update - I said yes. I believe the “Check Engine” was also blinking at that time so I also asked them to check that. After that, the vehicle was in the shop for 2 weeks without a clear diagnosis before the tech reached out and told me the car was “inoperable”. After communicating with the engineers and getting support from management, the car was still inoperable for over 2 months. At that point the tech asked me to contact Chrysler to file a claim to help him make sure it kept moving. (Please note that I found this bizarre and I hope any reasonable person in a similar situation would as well. ) A few days later, they told me the car was ready for me to pick up! I do not have a technical background and do not fully understand the issue, but the tech told me there was an issue with the vehicle sensor software which clashed with the recall and caused the vehicle to stop responding. As a fix, they uninstalled the sensor software and then reinstalled it after the recall update. Any future software update may cause the vehicle to crash and considering there is a third recall on this issue so far with out a proper fix, it is highly probably that there will be subsequent recalls/updates which will crash the car. At that time, I will have no recourse. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | The vehicles car suspension/steering are malfunctioning even after being replaced early 2025. Vehicle start shaking violently after going over overpasses and uneven roads to the point where steering control is lost. This is unsafe especially in busy highways. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I was traveling in the right lane on I-75 at approximately 70 miles an hour, and my Wrangler completely lost all power and began to suddenly decelerate in traffic. I lost all acceleration ability, power brakes, and power steering. I immediately had to change lanes and exit the highway onto the shoulder while trying to avoid other vehicles all while struggling to steer and brake. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | SUSPENSION | Jeep has only 10K miles on it, Was on Highway and Started to violently shake, went to side of road it stopped and then once driving started again. Death Wobble | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | POWER TRAIN | Vehicle dropped off at the McGovern Chrysler Jeep dealership in Newton, MA on March 31, complete transmission failure, vehicle has active recall 25V-741 and resolved recalls including 25V-766 (engine sand contamination affecting propulsion). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | See attached document for complaint. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN: 1C4JJXR66PW627097). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired under warranty/customer satisfaction repair. However, the exact same problem has now returned. My vehicle is not currently included in Recall 30B, but the symptoms are consistent with that recall involving instrument cluster failure. I am concerned that this defect may affect additional vehicles not currently covered. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and consider expanding Recall 30B to include vehicles like mine. I have video evidence showing the dashboard shutting off while driving and will provide it as part of this complaint. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ab3NkolHPv66es_vrzSiFKLN83ezv5LC | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am the original owner of a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport with approximately 16,240 miles. The vehicle is completely unmodified. I am reporting a serious safety defect involving the steering and suspension system. When driving at highway speeds (50 mph and above), the vehicle experiences a violent front‑end oscillation whenever it encounters a bump, uneven pavement, or bridge expansion joints. The steering wheel rapidly shakes left to right, and the entire vehicle shudders for 5 to 10 seconds. The oscillation does not stop until I slow the vehicle down to below 45 mph. This issue is reproducible and occurs frequently on rough or uneven road surfaces at highway speeds. During these events, I temporarily lose the ability to maintain proper steering control, creating a dangerous situation for myself, my passengers, and other drivers. This condition is commonly referred to as “Death Wobble,” and it makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. Given the severity of this defect and the safety risk it poses, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and that Jeep/Stellantis address the defect under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3‑year/36,000‑mile basic warranty). The front‑end suspension components—including the track bar, steering damper, ball joints, and related parts—should be inspected and repaired as necessary to eliminate this hazardous oscillation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | Parked my 2023 Wrangler 4xe for about three hours. When I started driving again the brake pedal was hard and it took way longer than normal to stop. No warning lights, no codes on the OBD reader. Toggling max regen on and off made no difference. Power cycling the vehicle didn’t fix it. Pads are warm so the calipers are engaging, but there’s very little stopping force behind them. I would guess there is an electrical issue with the regenerative breaking system or brake vacuum. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | 1. The Hybrid Battery , yes, Jeep is at dealer since 3/12/25. After daily calls to get updates, including voicemails and emails to service rep and Manager several times, Finally was advised on 3/25/26 (13 days) that it needs the part and will be at least 4-6 weeks more, no loaner, no info, nothing else was provided other then to call Jeep cares to file a complaint--you can imagine how that went---they referred me back to the dealer but did open a complaint/ 2. was advised car could go on fire at any time, thank God I was not driving it at the time. 3. seems its a known common problem and current recall. 4. Inspected by Rockland jeep dealer and still sitting there. 5. no warning signs prior to car not starting. car is a lease and the lease expires prior to getting the car back, I called chrysler leasing and they directed me to call the dealer, called Jeep cares and they advised still waiting on rental authorization so I can get a rental car (which I would have to pay for and trust they will reimburse me- after all this, I do not trust them) , also they said to call the dealer after opening up a case. Bottom line, I am 16 days in , with 4-6 weeks to go with no car, no options as of this claim. I pay 700 a month for this lease and I will be out 2 months---I just asked them to extend it for the 2 months on them or keep the Jeep, Chrysler advised again to call dealer as they cannot do any of that. The dealer not advising me for 2 weeks what ( per Jeep cares) takes 10 minutes to diagnose, not providing a loaner after a week calling for one. I do not know what to do other then start to call lemon law attys? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am reporting a safety-related electrical failure involving the heated steering wheel system in a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. While driving, the heated steering wheel malfunctioned and produced smoke from the steering wheel area. This created an immediate safety concern due to the presence of smoke and the potential for electrical overheating or fire in a critical driver control component. This was not an isolated incident. The same system required a prior repair under warranty in late 2023. Despite that repair, the failure recurred in late 2025 with more severe symptoms, including overheating and damage to electrical components. The vehicle was taken out of service for repair, and the total time out of service related to this issue was approximately 115 days due to parts delays and repair time. The problem was confirmed and repaired by authorized dealerships, including replacement of the steering wheel and related electrical components. There were no meaningful warning indicators prior to the failure. The issue occurred during normal operations. The repeated failure of the same system, combined with smoke and electrical malfunction in the steering wheel, raises concern about a potential defect that could pose a safety risk to drivers and passengers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VISIBILITY | The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V111000 (Visibility), and 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with Hybrid Mode activated, the vehicle shuddered abnormally. While attempting to defrost the front windshield, the defroster took longer than normal to defrost the windshield. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 15,000 |
| Mar 2026 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Following 2nd battery recall, acceleration, especially with the electric on, is sluggish and then suddenly electric fails and gas engine kicks in with a lurch. Electric no longer has the power it did prior to the recall and this provides uncertain acceleration for entering freeway from onramps or during other periods of needed acceleration. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ENGINE | UNKNOWN | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | On July 3rd I was driving on the highway, and the Jeep went into limp mode. When it ran out of the electric charge, it didn’t switch over to the gas engine and became un-drivable. I brought it to a Jeep service center and they kept it until July 7th. They were not able to figure out why that happened, but obviously it is part of the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety concern with my Jeep following the completion of Recall 68C. Since the recall service was performed, the vehicle has experienced significant issues when operating in hybrid mode. While driving in hybrid mode, the vehicle repeatedly switches back and forth between hybrid and electric operation. When the vehicle enters electric mode, the RPMs will suddenly spike and the vehicle will call for the gasoline engine. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the vehicle is unable to maintain electric power and immediately switches into gasoline mode. This behavior results in constant drivetrain shifting and erratic engine speed changes. The RPMs frequently jump from 0 RPM (electric operation) to approximately 3,000 RPM when the gasoline engine abruptly engages. The repeated transitions between electric and gasoline power create noticeable hesitation, jerking, and inconsistent acceleration. This issue began only after the Recall 68C service was completed and was not present beforehand. The repeated switching between propulsion modes appears abnormal and may pose a safety concern, particularly during acceleration or when merging into traffic where predictable vehicle response is critical. I am submitting this report so that this issue can be documented and investigated to determine whether the recall repair may have introduced or failed to correct a problem within the hybrid drivetrain system. 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Unlimited | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN | Car began slipping not wanting to shift gears humming loudly and driving rough at 61k miles on a 2023. Being told it’s dclutch and possible transmission needed. No warning just out of nowhere | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been in the shop at Tameron Jeep in Daphne, AL for 37 consecutive days. After having the recall on the hybrid battery software performed, an engine light came on. When I returned it to Tameron service department, I was told the diagnostic scan showed a fault in the hybrid battery due to the recall software update. It has remained at the service department for 37 days without remedy. The service department says they are waiting on Stellantis to advise them and that they feel like Stellantis "Star Connect" tech line is requiring their service tech to perform the same repeated tests again and again to avoid approving the hybrid battery replacement. I have called Jeep customer care, opened a case twice, escalated, requested area manager, etc., and currently there is no update, plan of action, or timeline for repair. The service department said even after the battery replacement is approved (it has not been yet), it would be more than 30 days to get the new battery. So in addition to the current 37 days in service, it could potentially be another 30-60 plus days. I have been unable to get any help, any plan, any updates from Stellantis. The service department has been very understanding but they can't do anything further without approval from Stellantis. I'm still making payments and insurance on the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On 12/06/2025, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from a Chrysler Jeep dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC. Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V741000) had been published on 11/05/2025 — one month prior to my purchase. The recall involves high voltage battery cells with separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A Stop Sale order was active on this VIN at the time of sale. I raised the recall and fire risk during the purchase. The salesperson responded that "a fire could happen in any car" and continued to minimize my wife's specific safety concerns through sustained pressure until we agreed to purchase. No documentation was provided showing the recall had been remedied prior to delivery. The recall remains OPEN as of today. Third-party vehicle history data confirms Stop Sale: YES tied to 68C. We cannot charge the vehicle or use it as intended. We are unable to obtain timely service — the dealership reports months-long wait times with no loaner vehicle available. The vehicle has not been inspected or repaired for this defect. No warning lamps were present at purchase. The vehicle was available for sale and delivered to us despite the active Stop Sale designation. The safety risk is ongoing. We are parked away from structures per NHTSA guidance and have ceased charging the vehicle. This complaint is being filed as part of a formal legal record. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I am writing to formally report a serious issue with my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe following the second recall repair (Recall 68C) related to the high-voltage battery fire risk. In November 2025, my vehicle underwent the required recall service. The repair was completed at the end of December 2025. However, immediately after the repair, I began experiencing significant performance problems in Electric Mode. Specifically: The vehicle now has severely reduced power output when operating in pure electric mode. Acceleration is noticeably weak and inconsistent compared to its performance prior to the recall repair. The gasoline engine frequently engages even when sufficient battery charge is available and Electric Mode is selected. Before the recall service, the vehicle operated normally in Electric Mode without these issues. The current condition substantially affects drivability, fuel efficiency, and the overall value of the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2026 | SUSPENSION | Steering damper has failed with 45,000 miles on vehilce and causing a dangerous shake on the highway affectionately konw as the "death wobble" among jeep owners. This was recalled in eariler models of my vehicle (2018-2021 4XE) but is occruing the same in my 20234XE. This part should have not worn out already and is causing a dangerous situation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
