| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit. | Crash: Yes Fire: Yes Injuries: 1 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I own a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, with 48,200 miles and 2.5 years of ownership. Recently, my truck began displaying a “Powertrain / Reduced Power” warning while driving, and the air conditioning stopped producing cold air. The dealer scanned the vehicle and found DTC P0534 – A/C System Charge Loss. Further diagnostics indicated that multiple vehicle modules may require reprogramming and software updates. The dealer stated they need to evacuate and recharge the AC system, add dye, and remove front trunk components to locate the leak. This AC system is part of the high-voltage battery and eDrive thermal management system, meaning that failure of the HVAC system affects battery cooling and powertrain performance. Loss of cabin cooling is a symptom of a thermal system malfunction, which can lead to battery overheating, powertrain derating, and reduced driving performance. The combination of unexpected reduced power and loss of cabin cooling creates a safety risk, particularly during highway driving, merging, or situations requiring acceleration. These failures occurred at relatively low mileage and are associated with the high-voltage EV system, which should be functioning properly to ensure safe vehicle operation. I am submitting this complaint to report a potential safety defect with the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning affecting the battery thermal management, high-voltage AC system, and eDrive components, which can result in sudden power loss and compromised vehicle safety. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2026 | SEATS | Rear passenger seat heater shorted out and burnt through seat cushion and and sleeping bag. We ripped the seat out and taped up the power cables. The vehicle has not been to a dealer as our local dealer sold / closed within the last year. There were no warnings before this issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | SERVICE BRAKES | Electronic parking brake warning was coming on and parking brake was inoperative during this period of time. Vehicle is at the dealership now and diagnosed with corroded and broken wires in the left rear harness for the parking brake. Ford will not assist with this repair even though it is very similar to the problem involving recall 23S35 which inspects and replaces this same harness due shorting out wires which could cause the parking brake to lock up while driving | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I am reporting a serious safety defect in my 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew (EcoBoost engine. The oil pressure warning light suddenly illuminated, indicating a loss of oil pressure. Immediately after, the engine suffered catastrophic failure (it "blew the engine"). At the same moment, with no input from me, the gear shifter automatically shifted from Drive into Park. This caused the transmission to lock up, resulting in violent skidding and the truck veering off the road. I was able to regain control and avoid a collision or rollover, but the incident created an imminent risk of serious injury or fatality, especially while towing. I have maintained it properly, never missed a payment on the $74,000 truck, and drove it cross-country from Arizona to Florida without prior issues. Ford Motor Company has claimed there were "70 warnings" prior to the failure, but I received **zero** dashboard warnings, lights, messages, or indications at any point leading up to or during the event. This is the second Ford F-150 I have owned with unexplained powertrain problems. I traded a 2018 F-150 for the platinum & it repeatedly stalled without reason & required the engine to cool before restarting; dealerships (FL & TN) could not fully diagnose it, with one suggesting an oil-pump-related overheating issue despite no warning lights. Repair estimates are extremely high: Gator Ford quoted $17,000, Brandon Ford quoted $14,000, Veterans Ford quoted $12,000, and an independent shop quoted $12,000 (notably, the independent shop knew the dealership quotes without me providing them). I believe this points to a potential defect in the EcoBoost engine's oil pump system (possibly excessive pressure or failure under load/towing) combined with an unintended shift-to-Park function in the transmission/shifter electronics, creating a dangerous loss of control at highway speeds while towing. This combination of sudden engine seizure and automatic shift to Park poses an unreasonable risk of crash. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | SERVICE BRAKES | The electronic brake booster system failed while driving the vehicle causing the brakes to lock up and almost caused a collision with a tree putting me and my family in danger. Car was towed to the dealer and confirmed electronic brake booster failure. There were no prior warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to the failure during the operation of the vehicle. All warning first appeared after the failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V512000 (Power Train) and 26V104000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System); however, the parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an oil change. The contact was informed by the dealer that a hub bolt had detached from the vehicle. The contact was informed by the dealer that the hub bolt had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that parts were not available and were on backorder. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact had not experienced a failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck. I called Stanley Ford where I bought the truck to get the recall fixed. They told me they had the part and would get it out the next day (Friday) because I was leaving that Sunday on a work trip. They called me on Friday and said the part they had was for another vehicle and it would be 3-4 mths before they would have the part and I couldn't drive the truck. The software was not updating (even with a battery change) and I asked them to reset since we changed the battery. They told me it would 400 plus to fix that. They have not offered a vehicle for me to drive and neither has Ford. Ford was called and everything was explained to them. I am without a vehicle, with no real estimated time on when I will get my truck back and nothing has been done. No loaner, no paying for my truck since I do not have it. I have been without a vehicle for a month and 1/2. I work a full time job. I have a statement from repair shop and pic, but it won't let me upload. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. When the vehicle was purchased, the contact requested the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel option. When the vehicle was delivered, the contact realized that the option was missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer suggested that the contact read the manual to learn how to turn on the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the contact explained that the option was missing from the vehicle. The dealer refused to assist. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but provided no assistance. Upon further investigation, the contact became aware of Customer Satisfaction Program: 22G06, which was associated with Ford and Lincoln vehicles with the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel option deleted during production due to supply shortages. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and mentioned specifically that the vehicle needed the Customer Satisfaction Program: 22G06 "Heated Steering Wheel Performance Upgrade". The dealer refused and informed the contact that the vehicle could no longer be taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40. | Crash: No Fire: No | 40 |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My vehicle is experiencing all of the systems of the current ford recall. "Trailer lighting module fault. " rapid blinker. Etc. for whatever reason it is not listed in the vehicles to be recalled. Thus making it very difficult to get fixed at the dealership. Need this taken care of asap! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The 12v battery on these vehicles are severely strained or defective AGM batteries have been used since vehicle inception in 2022. Dozens of reports from owners show "system off to save battery" error codes and 12v symptoms such as inoperable multi-function displays, especially in cold weather. After replacing the OEM 12v battery, i have pictures showing the bulging the battery has suffered. Again, these errors are experienced by dozens, if not hundreds of owners and could lead to serious injury because the 12v battery operates all electronics in the vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,WHEELS | Received recall 25S82 rear axle half-shaft and hub assembly replacement in August of 2025. Dealer confirmed in September 2025, both right and left components need replaced. I was told parts are on order. I check on the recall parts each month and told various stories. For instance. 1. Only one OEM manufacturer of these recall parts 2. Only large dealerships are getting them. 3. First come first serve, yet reports on social media that some Ford owners are getting repaired in two weeks. 4. Tied to VIN number, not tied to VIN number. Whatever the situation, 6-months and counting with no assurance of parts is unacceptable. I cannot trust to take this truck outside of my local towing company’s business radius. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | STRUCTURE | Bolt in the hood latch fell out and nearly causing the hood to open on the interstate. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN | Vehicle has open unrepaired safety recall 25S82 / NHTSA 25V512 for rear axle hub bolt failure. Contacted [XXX] Ford in Fort Myers FL on two separate occasions. Both times told parts are unavailable and I would be placed on a callback list. No callback has been received. Recall remains unrepaired. VIN [XXX] . | Mar 2026 | VISIBILITY | The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, there was an exploding sound coming from the vehicle. The contact became aware that the front glass panel in the panoramic sunroof had shattered without impact. The contact pulled over and discovered that shattered glass was all over the sunroof liner. The vehicle was initially driven back to the residence, and the hole in the glass was covered. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where the failure was confirmed. However, the contact was informed that there were no recalls or warranties on the vehicle to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided with a case number. The failure mileage was 36,793. | Crash: No Fire: No | 36,793 |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN | See attached document for complaint. On January 6th, I wrote to you expressing my concerns about Ford’s failure to address a known safety recall (Safety Recall Notice #25S82/NHTSA Recall 25V512) for my 2023 Ford F-150. To date, I have received no response to my initial inquiry which prompts me to send this second letter. In fact, I am writing this letter as I sit in my local Ford dealership for routine maintenance service. At check-in today, I again requested that they determine if my vehicle was in need of the repair specified in the safety recall. Again, I was told “sorry, but Ford is not sending us the necessary parts, so there is nothing we can do at this point”. They said that I should periodically check back with them. I reminded them that I was put on a waiting list for these parts. I have included a copy of my original letter to Ford, so I will not repeat all my concerns. I believe it is important to fully document the facts and my repeated attempts to resolve this matter so that there will be a clear trail of evidence should this unaddressed and known safety recall ever create subsequent safety issues for me or my family. How a company with the size and reputation of Ford can issue a safety recall and then not provide the means to correct a known safety problem is unfathomable. The safety recall notice clearly states that the vehicle “...may roll in park without the parking brake applied, or, alternatively, lose motive power, both of which can increase the risk of a crash”. It then goes on to state that “parts are now available to repair your vehicle”. Frankly, I do not know if parts are in fact available, but my dealership has made it clear that they are not getting these parts. It has now been three months since I first attempted to remedy this matter. For Ford to effectively ignore this known safety issue seems to me to create a serious potential for liability. However, I will leave that to legal counsel should this ever result in injury or accident to my family. Also, I called the Ford Recall Assistance Center regarding my concerns. After briefly putting me on hold to research this matter, the representative advised me that the parts are on back-order and are expected to become available sometime in the third quarter of 2026. I asked her why Ford would state in writing that the “parts are now available” when, in fact, they are at least six months out (9 months from issuance of the original recall notice). She apologized but could provide no answer. I find this unacceptable for an issue involving the safety of my family. I feel that I have done everything possible to address this known safety issue through normal channels with no response back from Ford or the dealership. So, I have copied the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) as I believe that it is important for them to be aware of this matter. I expect better from Ford Motor Company. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN | I received an "important safety recall" notice 25S82 from Ford motor company in August, 2025. The notice from Ford states that replacement parts are available and to schedule an appointment with a local Ford dealership to replace necessary parts and address the safety recall concerns. Since August of 2025, I have contacted my dealership several times and they continue to indicate that parts are still not available from Ford to address the safety recall / concerns. I called the number on Ford's recall notice again today and they either don't answer or immediately hang up on customers like me when the call does go through to speak to an agent. Nine (9) months have passed now and neither Ford nor their dealership network has done anything to address the manufacture defects / safety concerns associated with my vehicle. My dealership has indicated there is a nation-wide back order on the replacement parts but that conflicts with Ford's written communication to consumers and it's no excuse for inaction that could put public safety further at risk. Please take necessary actions to increase Ford's focus on and resolution to this persistent risk. Thank you. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
