Oct 2024 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE This is something I've noticed a few times, it's concerning, and I'm trying to hash out what's actually happening. After reversing at slow speed (from a parking spot for example) and then shifting into drive, I've felt what appeared to be uncommanded throttle response. The cruise control engages as if it had been set to 15mph and trying to accelerate to that speed. Being in a parking space and shifting to drive, I was at a stand still. This morning, after backing out of driveway, slowing to a near stop, and selecting drive, it felt like the truck had a significant throttle engagement which I imeddiately had to brake. The cruise control had again engaged to 15mph and was green signifying it was active and accelerating to catch up to the 15mph. This occurs immediately when shifting from reverse to drive. The only common factor I can isolate to is when backing, if I simply shift to drive after slowing to a near stop, without braking, it engages. I cannot replicate and Ford says they are not aware of any issues.

The vehicle was not diagnosed; however, the dealer ordered a replacement for the vehicle, and upon attempting to install the rubber sealant, the rubber sealant failed to fit. The dealer ordered another part; however, two months later the part had not arrived, and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Sep 2024 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM We have been having repeated problems with the dash freezing in place for several days needing a battery to be disconnected to reset the issue. When the issue is going on, the dash is completely frozen in place. There is no way to know how much fuel is left, how fast you are going or anything else from the cluster due to it not changing at all. When the issues were brought to the dealers attention, they were shown a video of the problem occurring. But were unable to replicate the issue and thus did nothing but notate they didn't see it happen. The vehicle is owned by the Law Enforcement agency and it is not feasible to have the officer come into the dealership when the issue is acting up. The primary safety issues we see is the possibility of the vehicle running out of gas on the highway and causing a accident. Speeding concerns since the officers have no way of knowing their speed. Maintenance concerns since even the odometer is frozen so there is no way to track when its ready for service.

Sep 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER Vehicle will randomly lose airflow from any vents, including defroster vent after travelling for a while with AC on. If window happens to fog up while driving there is no way to blow air across it, Brought to dealer a week after purchase with 4K miles on it, and they supposedly did a software fix on a evaporater temperature sensor to stop the AC line from freezing, and restoring airflow. Worked for a couple of months but now the airflow is randomly stopping from the vents. After vehicle sits the problem goes away and can't be readily duplicated for dealer to fix, but obviously something is happening. Will bring back to dealer and see what they say.

Aug 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I was stopped behind a car inside of a parking lot about 15 feet behind it and all of a sudden my engine rev up, accelerated unexpectedly, and the truck surged forward. I immediately put the brakes to the floorboard to try to stop the vehicle but it continued to lunge forward. I looked down for a split second and saw that my foot was completely on the break pedal to the floorboard. I that instant i tried to put it in neutral and I ended up putting it in park. Even though I try to stop, I ended up, hitting the car in front of me My truck is at the cerritos california ford dealership. I reported it to Ford customer service with the same information about how it happened as above There were no warning lamps Immediately after the accident happened within four hours, i drove my truck to the dealership after consulting with my insurance company and Ford customer service Ford customer service stated they wanted the truck at the dealership right away before any bodywork or repairs be completed from an outside collision center so they can inspect it

Aug 2024 POWER TRAIN,WHEELS In cold temperatures the vacuum system that keeps 4x4 disengaged seems to be failing. There is a loud grinding noise with vibrations when driving any speed. It will go away after you engage 4 wheel drive. I feel this is unsafe and worry with winter coming soon the hubs may lock up causing a head on collision or cause vehicle to go in the ditch. I’ve had this issue since I first bought the pickup brand new in late October of 2023. In above freezing temperatures the grinding and vibration does not happen. No light warning indications when this will happen either. I have called the dealer and made a case number, they say engineering is looking into it. They tried replacing the IWEs and it didn’t make a difference. I’ve done a lot of research online and many people all over in colder climates are experiencing the same thing.

Aug 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Purchased the new truck 12/21/23 within a week or two all the Adas signals and chimes continued to flash. A sensor was ordered and arrived months later and was installed. The problems never stopped. Besides the signals all flashing my blind spot in my mirrors stopped working. The dangerous issue is that while I am driving all of a sudden at any given moment my vehicle loses power and it stops accelerating. I am afraid to drive my new vehicle because I am affraid of pulling out of my driveway or driving on the highway trying to change lanes I am going to lose power and get hit by someone. This truck is not safe to drive.

Jul 2024 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE When driving my truck using adaptive speed control. Vehicle reacts as it should to speed limit signs until it sees any sign with the number 80 on it, e.g.- state hwy. 80. As soon as it reads the number 80 it immediately accelerates to 80 mph. This happens no matter what speed zone you are in. I called Ford motor company and they referred me to my local dealership. The dealership said they were aware of the problem because one of their managers had the same issue with his vehicle. They told me that the Ford tech. told him to shut it off if that happens. I don't believe this is a viable fix because you never know when it is going to happen. This will happen anytime it sees the number 80 whether you are in a 25 mph zone, a 55 mph or any speed zone. This is a very dangerous situation for both occupants and pedestrians. I just got off an hour long phone call with Ford vehicle technology assist and they insist I find my own solution by going to local dealerships. I know for sure this condition affects at least two but more than likely thousands of vehicles. Please look in to this before somebody gets killed. I can tell Ford is not going to.
