Aug 15,2023 Manufacturer Recall NumberR23B3 NHTSA Recall Number23V-581 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Nissan, the manufacturer, has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for the vehicle in a timely manner. For something that is simple to reproduce they should have a replacement TIE ROD END now. And I cannot remove my Sentra from your list/database if I replace the part myself or my mechanic. Why is that? Since NISSAN is not able or unwilling to make a replacement, Please remove my VIN from your recall list for this item: 23V-581. Thank you.

Jul 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On multiple occasions while driving, at traffic lights or stop signs, a light will come on the dashboard with a symbols including: Place the key near the start switch --even though the car is already on and running; and other times the car will not start at all with the key next to the start switch; Lower Tire Pressure - although the tires when check are not low at all; Low Fuel Gauge -although I would have just put gas in the car; A phone number from a person that I already hung up from as still an on-going telephone call; Forward collison sensor; Rear auto breaking symbol; ABS symbol, Car crash symbol, warning symbol and words; master warning symbol and words, system malfunction, I took the car two both Universal Nissan Dealership where I bought the car and Glendale Nissan Dealership after the lights came on - they always said, the dashboard lights do not come on when I leave my car with them---they cannot duplicate my concern, however they would ALWAYS clear out pass codes in the car computer systems, which indicates and verifies that the dashboard light was on and which symbol was displayed on the dashboard. No software update was ever offered to me, all things I complained about were consistently denied. Nothing was done to repair this electrical problem or glitch while my car was under warranty -prior to hitting 30,000;The drive car door will sometimes stick and will not open - i will have to exit on the passenger side. Universal Nissan Car dealership lied and said I has body work done on the car and they charged me for checking the door. However a few months later Glendale and CARFAX verified I had not EVER had any body work done to this car! Its cost me to miss work at uber (which is my main income!) for 45 days and have many anxiety attacks. I am paying for a car that is malfunctioning regularly (for nearly 2 years now from brand new at 8 miles -to 50,000), Nissan Headquarters will not repair, replace or buy it back. Nissan 2022 Sentra is a Scam!

Mar 2024 STEERING,WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing safety issue with the 2022 Nissan Sentra, NHTSA Recall Number 23V-581. This recall, which has been open since August 2023, poses a significant safety risk to drivers and other vehicles on the road and their passengers. What is particularly concerning is that similar issues were reported in the 2021 Nissan Sentra models, indicating that this problem has been persistent and ongoing. Despite this, no estimate for a remedy has been provided, leaving affected vehicle owners in a state of uncertainty and potential danger. Furthermore, the fact that the 2024 version of the Nissan Sentra is already in sales without any reported similar problem suggests that Nissan has found a solution for the new versions. This raises questions about why no action has been taken to address this critical safety issue in previous models. It is imperative that Nissan takes immediate action to rectify this issue for the 2022 Nissan Sentra models. Owners should not have to wait any longer for a solution, especially when the safety of themselves and others is at stake. The apparent lack of commitment by Nissan to address this issue promptly and effectively is deeply concerning and must be rectified without delay. I urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to request a deadline commitment by Nissan on finding a solution to provide a safety remedy as soon as possible. The safety of drivers must always be the top priority.

Feb 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I leased a 2022 Nissan Sentra in February 2022. About two months after leasing the vehicle, I started having problems with the car battery. The car battery would die for no reason at all. I didn't leave anything on the battery would just die. I could be driving and stop and the battery would go completely dead. I've had to get my car jump-started by strangers and through my insurance company roadside so much so that my insurance company cancelled my roadside assistance coverage. I took it to the Nissan dealership several times and each time they said the battery was perfectly fine and they didn't find any issues. However, my battery kept dying and I would be stranded for long periods of times. This continued for months. It got to the point where I had to purchase jumper cables and then a portable charger. I finally contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs about the battery (Case# [XXX]) and they told me to take it to the dealership to be serviced. I made an appointment on 05/23/23 and this time the battery failed and they replaced the car battery. I wish I could say that this was the end of the problem but I was having the same issues with the new battery too. Same as before, several times. Once I stopped at gas station after getting gas the car wouldn't start the battery was dead and I had to get a jump. The car battery was still dying for no reason until another issue with the steering and tie rod occurred on [XXX]. Something in the vehicle is causing the battery to drain. This shouldn't be happening. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Feb 2024 STEERING,SUSPENSION,WHEELS On [XXX] my son [XXX] took the Nissan Sentra in for service at Coggin Nissan for a routine oil change. My son told me before I made the appointment for service that he thought that some of his fluids may be low because the steering felt weird. I requested that the steering and other fluids be checked as well as the tire pressure. After the service on the Sentra was completed service we were provided with their recommendation for additional services. They listed that the all four tires were worn and needed to be replaced which I thought was odd. They also recommended an alignment and replacing the brakes pads. There was no mention of any other services being required or any mention of a recall. Before leaving I asked the gentleman at the counter if the fluids and tire pressure had been checked and he said they were and that they do a multi point inspection on all vehicles being serviced. I also mentioned to the gentleman that my son was still having problems with his battery, and it was brand new. The gentleman stated that the batteries are not made the same as they used to be and don’t last us long. On Saturday [XXX], just a few days after having the car serviced my son [XXX] was taking his girlfriend home at around 10:30 pm and was driving on [XXX] before getting on [XXX]. He was having issues with his steering and was unable to steer, losing control but was somehow able to pull in to the parking lot of a bank. He hit a curb or something, the tire blew out and he doesn't think he hit anything else but the front bottom front piece on car was hanging and had to be removed. There was also some other damage near tire. I thank God that he hadn't gotten on the highway when this occurred otherwise this could’ve been a lot worse and lives could have been lost. Dec 2023 STEERING Tire rod recall. My vehicle has been vibrating and there is a knocking sound coming from under the car for over 1 year. Vehicle was inspected by Nissan dealership who notified me there was no vibration during test drive. Dealership says that the tire rod was not bent, so they could not replace the tire rod. Nissan closed the recall on my vehicle however, vibration/knocking sound continue. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and was notified that they could not replace the tire rod and that the case for my vehicle could not be reopened even if I get a second opinion.

Aug 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Battery drained overnight after a day of normal use. Upon trying to start the vehicle, there is a message that states the key is not present and to get it near the push-button. After multiple attempts, the battery was checked with a voltmeter, the battery was bellow 9-volts. The vehicle had to be jump started and taken to the dealer. Aug 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The battery in my car died out of nowhere. I tried to start my car leaving from work and it wouldn’t start. I initially thought the battery in my key fob was dead because the screen in my car kept saying I needed to place the key near the push to start. Even though I already placed it directly on top of the button. I got someone to jump my car and it finally started. After that the battery still is not holding a charge. I have gotten my battery jumped 3 times since then( once a day) and the dealership charged it at the service center. The service advisor confirmed the issue is with the battery. Every time I turn my car off, it won’t start again without a jump. Also I got my car serviced by Nissan for an oil change and tire rotation on 06/21/2023. And they performed a multi point inspection of my car. On the report, everything concerning my battery was marked green. Indicating that it had no issues. My Sentra is also programmed to have a warning sensor icon/ pop up if the battery is low which never came on.
