Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My vehicle has been nearly underivable since purchased. Several times I have taken the car in for things like: No power. The car will drive, but slowly and with no "get up and go". It takes quite a bit of time to get to legal driving speed. This has happened on a highway at least once, and multiple times on regular roads. My electrical system has failed, and all components, including my battery, has shut down. This happened on the highway on my way to work. I lost time at work as well as my car for 34 days. (This is the second time it has happened). My gas tank cover refusing to open/my gas tank refusing to accept gas. My electric battery getting too hot and burning through wires, including my coolant tubes, which in turn, shut my car down. This happened on a major road. All of these things have caused immediate safety to myself and others that have been in my car when it stopped working. I have thankfully been able to get myself off the road in all of these instances without causing an accident. There have been several break downs where I had to have someone come get me, and I have had it towed several times to the dealership as well. I have broken down entirely on the highway several times, slowing to a stop and having people needing to drive around me, or stop to help. I have taken the vehicle in many, many times and have been without my car for over 40 days (if I counted, it would be over 60 days). The dealership has told me it's a 4xe problem, but then lists the problem on paper as various things (coolant leaks, high voltage battery problem). At this point, I am afraid to drive it, as I have 1 active recall with no remedy available and a few alerts. My check engine light came on again this morning with no reasoning behind it, and the Jeep says to check ABS braking system and electrical systems. It's my very expensive daily driver. It has been inspected by two dealerships, with me taking into one dealership at least 12 times for recalls and repairs.

Nov 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE Recall #95B one of many since I purchased my vehicle. Cannot use it for what it was purchased for which was to use electric and save gas money. Now recall states not to plug in vehicle and that it can catch fire and explode at any time running or not. I am scared to death to drive this vehicle and have my child anywhere near it. And it is our only vehicle which costs me over $1000 a month payment I can barely afford. Its causing us extreme stress and anxiety. I have been trying for months to get rid of this vehicle which has dropped over 50% in the value.

Nov 2024 POWER TRAIN 3 months after purchase. I Driving on highway 70mph, pressed clutch peddle as I was exiting and slowing down. clutch literally combusted (and fly wheel). Jeep was smoking and smelled like fire. Coasted to side of road and rolled into gas station: car wasn’t operable and had to be towed. Thankfully not a lot of traffic as this was a very UNSAFE SITUATION FOR MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER! Clutch and flywheel were replaced by dealer after a few weeks. No warning lights. I’ve since had TWO CLUTCHES RELACED. A TOTAL OF THREE! I have contacted chysler (denied my claim) and filed a complaint with the AG. I do NOT feel safe driving this vehicle, I have major anxiety when I am driving in Traffic because I get wanting to release the clutch peddle due to overheating. The jeep sits in the driveway whenever possible due to safety concerns. And I’m PAYING MONTHLY PAYMENTS. It’s frustrated and EXTREMELY UNSAFE!

Oct 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I have received a recall notification 95B/NHTSA 24V-720 that advises I should not charge my PHEV, park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained. However, no guidance has been provided on what to do if these precautions cannot be met. This situation is unacceptable. Receiving a recall advisory with such severe restrictions—without a solution or clear guidance on alternative safety measures—leaves customers in an impossible position. It is unreasonable to expect owners to manage these risks independently without adequate support or timely options to ensure safety and functionality. I have raised this concern with FCA and received no adequate response. I therefore would like to formerly lodge a complaint.

Oct 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER History since I leased this vehicle: 1. Charging cord froze to vehicle when parked at a charging station outside and would not detach until it thawed. 2. Car was recalled for a battery issue and was allegedly fixed. 3. Car later died. The battery was completely dead for no apparent reason. I had to have the vehicle towed to the dealer for the battery to be replaced. They were not able to explain why the battery died. 4. Just received another recall for a High Voltage Battery fire risk issue that they have no remedy for as of yet. We are advised not to charge the vehicle or park it near any structures or other vehicles! 5. While driving home from work, the Jeep suddenly stopped moving. The console where the shift gear is began to flash and I had to put my foot on the brake, put the car into park and then put it back into drive to get it to move again. When it went back into drive it lurched forward. Luckily no one was behind me at the time or they likely would have smashed into me or I could have caused an accident. According to online research it is another on-going problem, one article reads there are hundreds of complaints on the Jeep forums with no fix saying: When customers take their Jeeps in, the service advisors have trouble diagnosing the issue. And while Jeep has issued some recalls, the problems remain and the electric Jeeps continue to fail.

Oct 2024 STEERING,SUSPENSION,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The manufacturer has not been able to remedy the batteries for electrical propulsion, saying "no remedy available ". Makes me hesitant to drive or park near other vehicles or structures. I have also complained to the dealership, where I purchased my Jeep, about a wobble/shake in the front-end when driving over bumps. After two attempts they have not been able to find a reason for or repair my vehicle. When driving in rain, this condition makes control a dangerous issue in heavy traffic. The most recent occurance was on [XXX] where the posted speed limit is 80mp, accompanied by heavy 18 wheeler traffic! I have also experienced the wobble/shake when traveling [XXX] from Texas to Louisiana, in the rain, surrounded by heavy automobile & 18 wheel traffic once again. This is a very stressful and uncomfortable situation to be in. I have experienced the wobble/shake soon after the purchase of my Jeep, still exists after several mechanical inspections at the dealership where purchased. I have also written a letter to the manufacturer, dated August 22, 2024, for these issues & the devaluation that exists with this particular model, to date I have not received a response! There is no excuse for the inability to repair or respond to my concerns! I have a copy of my letter to Customer Care for Stellantis & recall & repair documents; I am unable to upload at this time. Oct 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I am writing to file a complaint regarding the recent safety recall (NHTSA Recall Numbers: 24V-720 and 24E-080) affecting my Chrysler vehicle. The recall pertains to a potential fire risk associated with the high-voltage battery pack. While I appreciate Chrysler’s efforts to address this safety concern, I have serious reservations about the effectiveness of the proposed remedy. 1.Safety Concerns: I am worried about the safety of my vehicle’s battery. The recall notice indicated that a battery pack may contain cells with separator damage that could lead to a vehicle fire. I find it concerning that the proposed remedy primarily involves a software update and inspection, rather than an immediate battery replacement, especially given the potential risks involved. 2.Request for Action: I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter further and consider whether the proposed remedy adequately addresses the safety risks posed by the high-voltage battery. I believe that consumers deserve clear information and effective solutions when it comes to potential safety defects in their vehicles. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response regarding the steps being taken to address this safety concern.

Oct 2024 POWER TRAIN,SERVICE BRAKES I have a 2022 Wrangler 4xe. This weekend I rear ended a car in stop and go traffic. When I used the brake it actually felt like the car jumped forward a bit. I had to stomp on the brake pedal again as if my first attempt had no grab. More details...I was in hybrid mode with <1% battery status and max regen was on. I was going less than 10 miles an hour. Jeep has a max regeneration function that uses the engine to generate an EV battery recharge. I understand that the max regen sort of turns off when you are rolling at really low speeds, but it seems the transition to/from this is rough on the transmission or something. This only happens at low speeds (in parking lots, etc) This behavior happens intermittently but, this is the first time I was not able to stop completely before an impact occured.

Oct 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER On February 14, 2023, as I was driving home from work at 4:30 pm, and luckily stopped at a traffic light, my Jeep shut down and showed a charging fault while I was nowhere near a charger. I was eventually able to restart the vehicle and make it the rest of the way home. We had the software updated, so hopefully that does not happen again. I was about halfway between my place of work and my home, which are about 8 mailes apart. My vehicle had 5373 miles on it at the time of the incident. Now my car is yet again under recall at risk of fire due to the battery and I am scared to drive it and have it near my home.

Oct 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER We recently got the Jeep back from being serviced for a problem (P0E15-00) that seems to be a common issue with a part (hybrid/EV battery pack coolant heater) that breaks every 15-30k miles. Yay! Ours was at just over 17k miles. Now, on top of all of this, I receive a notice for our fourth recall in 2 years, for a battery that could randomly catch fire and there is no fix known yet. The charger for the Jeep is literally right outside my children's bedrooms. If I want to charge my vehicle, I am potentially risking a fire right next to where my kids sleep. If I don't plug in, the whole point of us picking the plug-in hybrid is a total waste of our money. I also have to park next to an apartment building, let alone my other coworkers' vehicles when I go to work. I now feel like my vehicle is a ticking time bomb. I would love to be able to end my lease early to get out of this nightmare. At the very least is there an option for a loaner vehicle or rental reimbursement until this potentially extremely dangerous issue is repaired?
