| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Bought used in 2026. Twice the car lost power while driving. A turtle warning light shows. Taken to Jeep dealer for repairs twice. We stopped using the electric function of the car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | When I bought the car 4/9/2026 I was told there was a recall. I called 2 weeks later to morrow cdj in morrow,ga. They said it would be over a month before I could get a loaner for the mean time. I couldn’t do that. I wouldn’t be able to get to home or take care of my daughter. I asked to be notified when there was a loaner available. 5/14/2026. I was driving with my daughter to the store and I completely loose power in the car. I could barely pull over to the side. AAA couldn’t charge the battery. I called the local jeep dealership. They wouldn’t help tow it to the dealership. They also had no loaners for over a month. And are taking their sweet time even looking at my car. After completely losing power in on going traffic that could have been catostrophic I’m angry. I called customer care for stellantis and they told me I could get my own rental and then submit for a possible reimbursement later but they will not get me a car. I’ve had this car for 5 weeks and now god knows how long I will not have a car. I can’t afford to pay a car note for over 500$ a month and a rental car. I don’t have a second car. Jeep knows this car is unsafe are not doing anything to assure the safety of its consumers. Nor are they trying to make it right. In the right place we could have been in an ugly accident because jeep isnt trying to fix these cars. Am I only entitled to fair treatment if we were not so lucky? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Recently, my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe was affected by the 68C Fire Safety recall where the Jeep was stuck at the dealership for battery replacement for 6 weeks. The dealership didn't have a loaner vehicle to offer during the time of the Safety recall. I was asked to contact the Jeep customer care about securing a rental vehicle during the time. I got this email from Stellantis before I started the rental: " Thank you again for speaking with me today. As a follow-up to our call, your rental reimbursement has been approved. You may rent through a licensed and legitimate company—such as Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, or Budget—at a daily rate of $60 per day, based on the local rates in your area. Sales tax is included in this amount. Please note that optional services—including insurance, fuel, tolls, GPS, tips, and underage driver fees—are not reimbursable through Jeep Customer Care. Rental reimbursement applies only to warranty-related repairs and covers the time your vehicle is at the dealership, unless special arrangements have been approved. To process your reimbursement, please reply to this email with the following documents: Once we receive these documents, we’ll begin processing your reimbursement right away. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help. " Jeep is now refusing the reimburse the non-optional charges saying that they only reimburse Time and Mileage and Taxes. Here are the required charges that Jeep is refusing to reimburse (Total of $337.71): Road Safety Fee (Colorado Mandatory): $229.62 (Total for both periods) Avis Mandatory Fees (FTP SR, License Recoup, Energy): $96.09 Extension Fee (Due to Repair Duration): $12.00 I spoke with the Customer Care multiple times that these are mandatory fees and as per their original email to me, they are supposed to only exclude optional fees from reimbursement. They are saying that Corporate policy is inconsistent with that email and they are unable to reimburse. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 43,000 miles experiencing a recurring electrical system malfunction involving the Body Control Module (BCM) and LIN communication network. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection upon request. The failure involves multiple electrical circuits and communication loss between modules, confirmed by dealership diagnostic codes including BCM B1642-15, B1646-15, B16D7-15, B16DF-15, and U1123-00 (lost communication with LIN ECU). This condition presents a safety risk due to intermittent stalling/shutdown while driving, electrical system instability, and failure of critical systems including exterior lighting and HVAC. These issues create unpredictable vehicle operation and reduced safety for occupants and others on the road. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership over at least four separate service visits, for which documentation is available. Despite repeated repair attempts, the condition has not been resolved and the same faults continue to return. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the dealership. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has been contacted but has declined further escalation or engineering review, citing warranty expiration. Warning indicators, including the check engine light, have repeatedly appeared prior to and immediately after service visits. Additional symptoms include intermittent heater failure while driving, system-wide electrical malfunctions, and abnormal noises. This is an ongoing, unresolved electrical system failure involving repeated unsuccessful repair attempts and presents a continuing safety concern. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | STEERING | On 12/17/2025, my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX] , 15,871 miles) experienced violent front-end oscillation — known as "death wobble" — while my daughter was driving on the highway at approximately 50–55 mph after encountering a road imperfection. The steering wheel and front suspension shook violently side-to-side. Vehicle control was significantly impaired and she had to slow substantially to stop the oscillation. Video of the incident is attached. The vehicle is completely stock: OEM suspension, tires, and wheels, no lift, no aftermarket modifications. I took it the same day to Safford Brown Jeep, an authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed the issue and replaced the front suspension steering damper. Repair cost $800 out of pocket. The dealer called it out of warranty because the 3-year basic warranty had elapsed, despite the vehicle having only 15,871 miles — well under the 36,000-mile warranty limit. A safety-critical steering defect at this mileage on a fully stock vehicle is consistent with a manufacturing or design defect, not wear or modification. This is a known, dangerous defect in Jeep solid-front-axle vehicles. NHTSA has received hundreds of complaints on prior Wrangler model years, and Stellantis (FCA) entered a 2023 class-action settlement covering 2018–2020 Wranglers and 2020 Gladiators with an 8-year/90,000-mile steering damper warranty extension. The 2022 model year was excluded despite exhibiting the same defect. I am filing this complaint to document that the issue persists in post-2020 Wranglers and request NHTSA evaluate whether a safety defect determination and recall is warranted for 2021+ model years. No crash, fire, or injuries — but loss of steering control at highway speed is a serious crash risk, especially with a young driver behind the wheel. | Apr 2026 | SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Q1: The steering and front suspension system malfunctioned. The vehicle experiences a severe “death wobble,” violent and uncontrolled shaking/oscillation of the steering wheel and front end after hitting bumps or uneven pavement, especially at higher speeds. The suspected affected components may include the steering linkage, track bar, steering damper/stabilizer, ball joints, tie rods, control arms, bushings, alignment/caster, or other front suspension/steering components. Q2: The defect causes violent steering wheel and front-end shaking while driving, creating a loss of stable steering control. When the wobble occurs, the vehicle becomes difficult to control and I have to slow down significantly to regain control. This creates a serious risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds, in traffic, on curves, or if another driver is nearby. The first time it happened I was on the highway near two tractor trailers who recognized the issue and slow down for me too. The condition puts me, my passengers, other motorists, pedestrians, and anyone near the roadway at risk because the vehicle can suddenly become unstable after normal road bumps or pavement irregularities. Q3: The problem has been brought to an local mechanic 3 times for repair or diagnosis, but the issue has not been resolved. The vehicle continues to experience the same severe steering/front-end wobble after those repair attempts. As of this complaint, the issue has not yet been formally diagnosed or resolved by an authorized Jeep dealer. I am filing this complaint because the condition remains unresolved and I believe it is a serious safety defect. Q4: The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by an local mechanic on 3 occasions related to this issue. The Healy dealership fixed the last recall right before this. I called them on the way home from the dealership when it first happened. Q4: There were no warning lamps or dashboard message before the wobble occurred. Became more aggressive in Jan 2026. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | On 04/24/26 my 2022 Jeep 4xe with out any warning exploded in my driveway endangering my family and people in my neighborhood. Police and Fire were call and the vehicle was extinguished. No injuries occurred to anyone but toxic gas and exploding glass were blast through the neighborhood. If anyone had been any where around the car they would have been seriously injured. The fire department initial assessment was that the EV battery exploded. The battery on my Jeep was replaced along with other recall parts previously by our local jeep dealership. The Jeep was charged approximately 20min before explosion occurred but was unplugged at the time of explosion. My insurance company has possession of the vehicle at this time conducting its investigation. Video was captured of the incident from 2 different cameras. I am submitting this to hopefully make other 4xe owners aware of the situation even after we thought our recalls were taken care of. Please contact for further information. | Crash: No Fire: Yes | Unknown |

| Apr 2026 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | I was driving 70-75 mph on interstate XXX going south from [XXX] to [XXX] after picking up my friends. I had e-save mode on to save the battery for later and out of nowhere the car lost all power and would not accelerate. Some writing flashed across the screen telling me to pull over in the emergency lane and stop and then restart the Jeep in hybrid mode. I had to throw on my hazards and pray someone who wasn't paying attention didn't hit me while I was no longer accelerating and trying to change lanes to get into the emergency lane. One in the emergency lane I was able to shut off the Jeep and restart it but e-save mode was no longer available. I was able to resume driving but only in Hybrid mode. | Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I was involved in a collision. The front driver's side hit another car, causing a lot of damage. The surprise was the fire. There is no reason for it to have caught for the way it did. The door was jammed, so resorted to unhooking the soft top, while I caught fire. I opened the top and jumped off the top, crawling away with burns and cuts before the entire engine exploded. I could have still been in that car, and I don't think I would have made it. | Crash: Yes Fire: Yes Injuries: 1 Towed Medical attention | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Subject Urgent Complaint – Recall Repair Delay for 2022 Jeep Wrangler I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of a recall repair for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler, specifically involving the electric battery system that powers the vehicle’s electric motor. While I understand the importance of safety recalls, the excessive delay in completing this repair has become unacceptable. My vehicle has been unavailable for an extended period, and I have not received a clear or reliable timeline for when the repair will be completed. This situation has caused significant disruption to my life. As a rideshare driver and professional traveling musician, dependable transportation is critical to my income. The delay has directly impacted my ability to work and earn a living. Furthermore, it has negatively affected my family life and overall quality of life due to limited mobility. I am requesting immediate action to address this matter, including: An expedited resolution and firm completion date for the recall repair A loaner vehicle or reimbursement for alternative transportation during the repair period, Consideration of financial compensation for lost income and inconvenience caused by this delay. I have made every effort to comply with recall procedures, and I expect the same level of responsibility and urgency from Stellantis/Chrysler. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will continue to escalate the matter through appropriate consumer protection channels. I look forward to your immediate response and a satisfactory resolution. | Apr 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | This is a known death wobble problem of jeep which i got while driving on highway with my family and could have got into an accident if would not control vehicle that time. My dealer is charger me for this issue which is costing me around 1200 usd and they are going to change the parts 1. Damper, Steering, 2. Tie rod end-outer-right or left for both sides. This is something which should have been covered under recall as its a serious safety issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Shortly after my second time getting the battery looked at for the 4XE recall my vehicle was very sluggish from a stopped position with the pedal fully pressed. | Mar 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | Driving at highway speed (65-70mph) on curve with slight road surface deviation experienced the infamous "Death Wobble". Slowed to 45-50 mph before vehicle steering returned to normal. The steering dampener was previously replaced to fix the first time this happened. Apparently this is not a fox. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2026 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS | I am filing this complaint regarding serious safety and consumer protection concerns involving my 2022 Jeep Wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ), manufactured by Stellantis, as well as issues involving the towing company E&R Towing following my accident. Prior to my accident on November 8, 2025, my vehicle experienced multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including overheating, shaking while driving, and abnormal loud noises. These issues raised serious safety concerns and were not properly resolved. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a rollover accident. Following the accident, Stellantis initiated an investigation and retained Bosch/Engineering Analysis Associates to extract Event Data Recorder (EDR) data from my vehicle. While presented as an independent inspection, this analysis was conducted by a vendor hired by Stellantis, raising concerns about the objectivity and scope of the findings. Stellantis ultimately denied responsibility, stating that the conditions of the crash did not meet the threshold for airbag deployment. However, this conclusion fails to address the ongoing mechanical and safety issues I experienced prior to the accident, including the possibility of system or sensor malfunction. Additionally, my claim for relief under Illinois Lemon Law was denied without fully considering the pattern of defects and safety concerns. I have also filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Complaint #XXX, regarding safety concerns with this vehicle. Following the accident, my vehicle was handled by E&R Towing. I have concerns regarding how my vehicle was managed after the crash, including the handling process and lack of transparency regarding procedures and fees. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed for potential violations of Illinois consumer protection laws, including unfair or deceptive practices, failure to properly address known vehicle safety issues, and improper handling of my vehicle following acciden INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The issues lies in the Hybrid systems electric only function. When climbing grades, the vehicle experiences severe power loss which can be felt by the driver and is displayed by the vehicle on the dashboard information cluster. Power output from the hybrid system drops to or below 50% output even when pressing the accelerator to maximum. This issue occurs almost every time climbing a steep grade regardless of exterior temps. After losing speed and power on a steep grade while working the accelerator to or near maximum application the engine is activated abruptly without warning and without the proper hybrid warm up sequence and causes startling shifting by the powertrain and jerks the vehicle. This behavior began after Recall 68C was performed and hybrid Battery replacement. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | STEERING | The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle experienced the death wobble. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The contact pulled over twice and drove 65 MPH on the way to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering damper and tie rod needed to be replaced. The steering damper and tie rod were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. However, the failure reoccurred several times. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,998. | Crash: No Fire: No | 28,998 |
| Mar 2026 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | My 2022 Jeep Wrangler has an ongoing issue involving an oil and diesel leak, which creates a hazardous driving condition and poses a fire and safety risk. The vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times (4 repair attempts) for the same issue, and the problem remains unresolved. Due to the severity of the leak, the vehicle is unsafe to operate and requires towing to the dealership. Despite repeated repair attempts, the manufacturer has failed to provide a permanent fix and has denied further assistance based on procedural reasons (vehicle not currently at dealership, mileage, and warranty concerns). I am concerned this is a broader safety defect that could affect other vehicles. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that approximately one month prior to receiving notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); the vehicle experienced electrical failures and the battery failed to hold a charge, and the vehicle was not operational. Additionally, the transmission was extremely low on transmission fluid, and the differential was leaking oil. The contact stated that after the recall repair was completed, the previous failures worsened. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,300. | Crash: No Fire: No | 18,300 |
| Mar 2026 | SUSPENSION | DEATH WOBBLE repeatedly while traveling on the highway at speeds above 60 MPH. Where is a terrain surface change, asphalt to bridge or and seam in the road cause a violent shaking of the front of the car. This has happened multiple times. I took the car to a car repair, there was no visual issues seen, but the repair people told me they no longer buy Jeeps as their personal vehocle because of the death wobble. They did not recommend a sway bar because in their experience it did not correct the issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | My 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe experienced a sudden loss of power while driving on Interstate 285 in Atlanta during rush hour traffic. The vehicle began shaking and lunging forward unpredictably while I attempted to exit the highway. With hazard lights on, I slowly crept the vehicle to the dealership because it could barely move. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for Recall 68C related to the hybrid battery system. This incident created a dangerous situation on a major interstate and could have caused a serious accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Mar 2026 | SUSPENSION | I do believe the part that is failing on the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is the “Steering Dampner” and anyone at anytime is MORE than welcome to look at and inspect touched or feel it. This is SAFETY RISK has the entire vehicle starts to shake and wobble uncontrollably and without warning. If not for quick reflexes we would have been in a chain reaction crash. Was able to release gas and coast to under 50mph making lots of people behind me unhappy. The dealer said he repaired dampner when we had 4,000 miles, now again at 16,700 miles it’s back and we almost ended upside down in a river. Either Jeep or NHTSA must need people to die before they can make truly effective repairs or just remove this model form inventory. I believe it has to be more than just a dampner and the front suspension parts should all be looked at. There was ABSOLUTELY no warnings, lights, sounds, or indication that we were almost plunged to our death. Angels had to be riding with us. Let’s get this fixed!!
