Feb 2026 ENGINE engine recall 6.2 L-87 , after Pico scoop Test, which my truck passed, its using 2 plus quarts of oil per 1000 miles, the dealer has it and is saying they can find nothing wrong per the gm tech that is telling them to check this and that. Ok, oil is going somewhere, I want the motor replaced , they want to continue the oil consumption test, my thing is wasting my time to continue driving and bring back to it back for a low oil reading, Its not gonna fix its self by driving it. I understand gm wants to figure out why, but it should not be at customers time , replace the motor all ready, something is wrong. the first 1000 miles after a oil change and they put die in the oil to check for leaks. When They check the oil level friday 02/06/26 the oil did not read on the dip stick.

Feb 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The front forward-facing camera module has failed, causing cruise control and driver-assistance features to become inoperative. Dealer diagnosis indicates the front camera must be replaced and recalibrated in order to restore cruise control and safety systems. This failure disables cruise control and driver-assist features that were standard equipment on the vehicle at purchase, resulting in a sudden loss of functionality while driving. The dealer has provided a repair estimate of approximately $1,150, including parts, labor, and required calibration, at owner expense. Based on similar reports from other owners, this appears to be a recurring issue affecting this model year.

Feb 2026 ENGINE 54k miles. Crankshaft failure. Truck shut off and put in neutral while driving with no codes on dash. Got a text saying to service engine and transmission immediately. On a side note, it is bullshit that you can't put the truck in neutral to get it off the road. The dealership is also doing a great job covering it and offering a loaner.

Feb 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE To start off my truck has been to the dealership multiple time for the camera. After third time in the shop they fixed that issue. Then the infotainment started acting up after about 4 times in the shop it was fixed. They gave me the prescribed fix for the engine recall in november. Engine passed the test. Then 3 weeks ago the engine siezed up from the crank and bearings on the interstate doing 70 pulling a trailer in traffic. Leaveing me and my dad in the middle of the interstate. I had to have it towed 2 hours to my house. After the prescribed engine fix. They replaced the motor in 3 days. Great right? No they did not test drive long enough. Or they would have felt the shudder that developed after the new engine went in. It is now about to go back to the shop. Because of the shudder at low rpm and im haveing electrical issues again as well . My remote start also stopped working after the engine replacement.

Feb 2026 POWER TRAIN 1) Component/System & Availability for Inspection Transmission control system. When shifting into reverse, the CHECK ENGINE lamp flashed and a “Transmission Service” warning appeared. Dealer retrieved DTC P07B4 and documented: “DIAGNOSIS OF ENGINE/CHECK ENGINE LAMP - CUSTOMER STATES WHEN SHIFTING IN REVERSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FLASHING AND WARNING MESSAGE ON FOR TRANSMISSION SERVICE. CHECK AND ADVISE. NOTE: CUSTOMER DOES NOT FEEL ANY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING. SAVI CODE P07B4.” The component remains installed and is available for inspection upon request. 2) Safety Risk A transmission control malfunction can lead to unpredictable shifting or loss of propulsion, posing risk during reversing, crossing traffic, or merging. 3) Reproduced/Confirmed by Dealer? Yes. Dealer confirmed the condition and stored code P07B4 consistent with my report. 4) Inspected by Others? Inspected by an authorized GM dealer. No inspections by police/insurance/others. 5) Warning Lamps/Messages & Onset Yes. The CHECK ENGINE lamp began flashing immediately when shifting into reverse, with a “Transmission Service” message. I did not feel drivability issues at that moment. Addendum — Link to GM Safety Recall N242454440 GM Safety Recall N242454440 addresses excess wear of a transmission control valve that degrades hydraulic pressure, causes harsh shifting, and—rarely—momentary rear‑wheel lock‑up during a downshift. The remedy is a TCM software update that monitors valve performance and detects wear ~10,000 miles before a potential event; if detected, the transmission is limited to 5th gear and warning messages appear. My transmission warnings and DTC indicate a transmission control/pressure concern consistent with the recall subject. I request that NHTSA consider this complaint related to N242454440 and ensure appropriate recall remedy and coverage. (GM service bulletin/stop‑delivery and NHTSA filings corroborate these details.)

Feb 2026 ENGINE I purchased my vehicle in June 2025. In January of 2026 the vehicle would sometimes shut down at red lights, requiring me to restart. No engine codes would pop up. On Jan. 16th, 2026, I exited my vehicle and heard a “cow bell clunking” coming from the engine area. I scheduled a service, and I was informed that the issue was part of the GM recall for 6.2L engines. This concerned me, because my vehicle had already had the “remedy” for the recall (changing engine oil type) prior to me purchasing it Certified Pre-Owned, and the engine still failed. The dealer I brought the truck to did a full engine (and appropriate parts) replacement as part of the open recall.

Lucky not to have been hit from behind. scary to be on highway like that. It was freezing outside. Dont understand being told car is fine and then this happens.

Jan 2026 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On November 16, while driving on the highway, my GMC vehicle suddenly lost engine power without warning. I was forced to stop in traffic, creating a dangerous situation and putting my life at risk. The vehicle required towing and has remained at the dealership since that date. The dealership determined that the engine requires replacement. Repairs have been significantly delayed, including an incorrectly ordered replacement engine, and the vehicle remains out of service more than two months later. This defect caused a sudden loss of power while driving and presents a serious safety concern. After the incident, I contacted the dealership immediately. Diagnostic appointments were scheduled and then canceled by the dealership twice, which delayed inspection and repair. I was only able to leave the vehicle at the dealership on December 12 due to these delays.

Jan 2026 ENGINE My vehicle stop running as I approached a traffic signal and failed to restart, it happened at a heavy traffic intersection during morning commute,I had the vehicle towed to Dealership that same day (01-22-2026). Later that evening the dealership called to inform me that the motor was blown and had ordered a new one.the mileage is approximately 39,285.

Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE My TAILGATE kept opening randomly and ENGINE WAS MAKING CLUNKING SOUND initially. Lost many tools on the highway once when it opened. Dealership told me my truck is not covered under a recall for both issues, even though other similar vehicles are. I refused to pay anything to have it fixed. They claimed my truck “wasn’t built in the factory that has recalls”. A month later the STARTER AND BATTERY burned up when I started up the truck, something locked up it sounded like. Eventually it started but didn’t sound right. A few days later the engine finally blew up. I paid out of pocket for everything for that trip. It’s currently back at the dealer being repaired with a new engine for the recall but GMC refuses to pay for the initial clunking/starter/battery and the tailgate issues. I’ve encored so many charges with tows and rentals from all these issues. I would like full reimbursement for everything.

Jan 2026 STRUCTURE I was driving on the interstate when the hood deflector blew off suddenly and unexpectedly damaging my hood and hitting the windshield. This vehicle was recalled for this part defect last year and the fix was applied by the dealer. It appears that some sort of adhesive was applied to the retainers but they still ultimately failed. This was a very dangerous situation that could have ultimately caused an accident. I am reporting this so that the approved repair can be reviewed. This part should have been replaced, not simply placing adhesive on the defective part. The past safety recall # was N242490120.

Jan 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Driving down the road, the radio volume will randomly rapidly increase to full volume. There is no way to turn the volume down. This is very startlingly and can lead to an accident due to the driver panicking and trying to turn off the radio or turn the volume down. It has happened approximately 5 times since I have owned the vehicle. Thie first time was when the vehicle was only a few months old. It happens so infrequently that it cannot be reproduced. It has not been confirmed nor inspected by a dealer. There is no warning as to when it might happen, nor any similar circumstances when it happens. The only solution I have found is to stop, turn off the vehicle and open the door for a minute or two, which is difficult to do in traffic.

Jan 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER My telematics onstar unit went bad at 37,200 miles. No onstar, no SOS, no hands free driving, etc. I paid roughly 3k for the extended subscription servies for three years. Like many others who have this problem, dealer/GM will not replace the faulty unit even though I still had time left on my on my subscription. Apparantly its a common problem.

Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE 2022 GMC AT4 w/ 6.2L V8 was my retirement gift to myself at a cost of $70k. I have had 2(two) engine failures! Of course they failed in the middle of rush hour traffic when no one wants to be kind. Since the wheels will NOT rotate once the failure has occurred, I was stuck in middle of traffic for 2 hours awaiting a tow truck. Not even 3k miles after the 2nd engine failure I was told by the dealership that I now need a transmission replacement. As a loyal GM customer, GM has to do better.

Jan 2026 ENGINE Complete engine failure, at 57,000 miles, was driving approximately 75 mph on the I-15 in Utah outside of St. George, and the left lane, engine turned off, was able to pull safely in a shoulder in a canyon with my family, my wife, my kids [XXX] and [XXX] old. Vehicle was towed that evening at 7 PM to the dealership, where it was diagnosed with completed engine failure. Jan 2026 POWER TRAIN Just after merging from I-65 North to 264 East at 65 mph in Louisville KY on November 14th, the display indicated to "press start" and the engine stalled. I was only able to get the vehicle about 3 inches off of the left side of the yellow line before running out of inertia. I was stuck there for 2 hours while waiting for a tow truck. The first truck could not lift my vehicle because with the engine off, the electric shifter would not move out of park. A second tow truck was called with dolly's and then a 3rd tow truck was required to block traffic. During this 2 hour period several cars swerved left of the yellow line and I was in fear for my life. The traffic was so heavy that I was trapped between the concrete median wall and the left lane. I called 911 to ask for a safety vehicle to shield me from traffic, but they never arrived as promised.
