Jan 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER When I pushed the start button on my 900 mile F150 limited that I only had 6 months, I heard a very very loud noise that sounded like a bomb going off in the truck. After I gathered myself and verified nobody damaged my truck or windows and with my ears still ringing, I heard very loud static noise coming from all the speakers. I thought the loud noise that came through the speakers actually blew them out. I turned off the radio, but the speakers were still making loud static noises. I then tried to turn on am station, and the radio worked fine. If this would of happened while I was driving, I probably would of had an accident.

Jan 2023 BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On Dec 27, 2022 I was involved in a collision where my F150 would not come to a complete stop at an intersection /red light. I approached the vehicles at the light breaking to slow down but the truck drive gear did not disengage, and I struck the vehicle in front of me at about 2-3mph and then proceeded to push the vehicle into the car in front of them all while I was fully applying the break (foot of the gas pedal). It was not until I put the truck in neutral and turned it off that it stopped pushing the other vehicles. I did not receive any warnings or notification lights on my truck prior or during the impact/pushing. It as if the F150 didn't see the vehicle in front of it and the auto drive system engaged as if it had a mind of its own. I have spoken to Ford Corp regarding the issue and they have advised me to have the vehicle inspected but my local Ford dealers are refusing to run a diagnosis on the vehicle prior to having it repaired thus causing an impasse all while I'm very nervous driving this truck out of fear of it happening again. 01/09/2023-Manufacturer Safety recall issued NHTSA #22V842 Recall #22S71 WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT Status: Remedy Available

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT Driving down road with radio on( apple car play) there was an extremely loud sound from all my speakers that made me close my eyes in pain and almost swerve lanes. It sounded like all my speakers blew. The radio no longer worked and i had to wait until the next day for it to operate as normal. I am concerned now to have my baby in the vehicle and have this happen.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT Stereo/Infotainment system loud bang followed by increasingly loud static through the speakers. Occured 20 or so seconds after starting the truck and driving down the road. Happened around 2800 miles and has only happened once. Initial bang was startling and the static noise was distracting which could have caused an accident. Volume button non functional. Stopping and shutting vehicle completely off and on momentarily did nothing. After letting the truck sit off and locked for 5min+ the sound finally stopped and everything returned to normal. There was a distinct burning smell left in the truck for the rest of the day. Ears were left ringing for a couple hours after. Possible ear damage from this. Luckily there wasn't anyone else in the vehicle that could have suffered from ear damage. Dealer is aware of the issue but hasn't looked at the truck as duplicating the issue is near impossible. No warning lamps or anything visually different from normal. I have video of the static noises.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT I was driving and all the sudden an insanely loud sharp BEEP noise started and would not stop. It was coming from the speakers. I could not get it to stop. It was so loud I have lost hearing in my left ear. I had to exit the truck and disconnect the battery. Others are having this issue and Ford has no recall.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT Description: Upon starting the vehicle there was an extremely loud "popping" sound through the speakers followed by a constant static/popping noise coming through the speakers at max volume. The sound is not responsive to any adjustments to the stereo volume and is persistent even with the volume set to "0" or "off". The only remedy was to turn the vehicle off, close the door and lock the vehicle. Even then, the issue continued upon startup until I disconnected to battery to reset the the system. This has happened 3 times in the past 4 months. Dozens of other Ford F-150 Raptor owners have reported the same issue but in every case, the dealer is unable/unwilling to find the issue. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Stereo/Speakers. Yes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The noise is extremely loud to the point where hearing damage could be caused within a very short period of time, especially for young children which I have. The sounds is also extremely startling and if this happened while driving, could prevent the driver from being able to safely operate the vehicle. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The problem was not reproduced at the dealer while they had the vehicle, but they are aware and were unable/unwilling to resolve the issue. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by the local Ford dealer but they were unable/unwilling to find the root issue. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?

Jan 2023 LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the door-ajar sensor warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the door latches were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where they replaced the instrument panel screen, but the failure recurred. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT While entering the highway, speakers produced a deafening static noise, no way to control or stop the noise. It was certainly well above the level for hearing damage concerns, but also made it nearly impossible to drive safely. System was completely unresponsive to any attempt to turn off/reset/etc. There were no indicators/etc, and it finally stopped itself randomly. The only way I can try to describe how extreme this problem is, is to say imagine someone firing a gun next to your ear while you attempt to drive. Had it happened only a few minutes later while merging into traffic, it very possibly could have caused an accident.

Jan 2023 POWER TRAIN The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle downshifted from 10th gear to 3rd gear. The vehicle slid across the roadway. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle could be driven in low gear; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission seized in 1st gear. The vehicle was towed to Village Motors, Inc. (784 Wooster Rd, Millersburg, OH 4465) but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to the local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 10,703. The contact stated that the dealer was unable to do anything for the vehicle because the issue could not be replicated nor did the dash show any codes. But finally the contact was able to provide proof of the failure to the dealer. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer have a solution to this issue.

Jan 2023 EXTERIOR LIGHTING Purchased a vehicle with a cord dealership and found out it had a recall (22C22) front light flicker. I was unable to take the vehicle off the lot. Found out this recall has been in effect since roughly August 2022 with no remedy to fix as of yet. I have been checking daily for updates and still nothing! I really want this vehicle and it’s been 5 months since the recall to effect with no fix! Aggrivating

Jan 2023 VISIBILITY Rear window shatter and blowout. Glass sent into the bed. Simply by shutting the door hard. Im a 3rd party bodybuilder who was sent this truck to add a landscaping package to, brand new, no mileage. For the initial measurement it was brought into the shop. After measurements when we were complete it was moved back outside. Simply revering back 20 feet and parking it outside the roll up doors, got out, shut the door and window blew out. Rear window has become a large bubble facing out towards the bed and some glass tempered glass blew into the bed. Local Ford dealer Service Manager was contacted and I was told Ford has no provisions for rear glass replacement from breakage. I was offered our pictures showing the large bubble it made, or the video surveillance. Didnt want it. Provided me with an 800-392-3673 who took my information and then scheduled with that same dealership for the next morning. Same Ford truck team member also contacted the warranty support fleet team, who promptly said no warranty and didnt have to look at any pictures or video since they offer no glass warranty other than front window glass with special circumstances. Did not care there were Ford forums listing the same damage or this issue littered on Google.

Jan 2023 POWER TRAIN Any 2021 f150 or newer with the max tow package has faulty rear axle shaft bolts that are installed from the factory. These bolts shear off within the first 10k of driving and ford has yet to issue a recall for this. A sheared off axle shaft bolt can cause a failure in the rear differential or a wheel to fall off potentially causing an accident. There are many reports of this failure all over the internet. Just google "2021 f150 axle shaft bolt sheared off" for more examples like the one I am submitting

Dec 2022 POWER TRAIN Shortly after taking delivery of my brand new F150, I noticed a substantial grinding sound and vibration intermittently presenting at both high and low speeds, with no change when shifting gears or slowing down. No warning lights were activated. All instances appeared to occur during below freezing temperatures. I immediately brought to our local Ford dealer who believes the vehicle is partially engaging the four wheel drive system in error. They have reported this to Ford and advises there is no known diagnoses or solution.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I was leaving the neighborhood and all of the sudden the forward collision warning went off for no reason, luckily the vehicle did not apply automatic brakes. I'm afraid if I was driving on the highway and the system went off for no apparent reason it could apply brakes and cause a crash. The electrical system is randomly setting off all kinds of error messages including random alarms in the middle of the night. The truck is less than a year old with only about 10K miles...the major concern is the forward collision warning that could potentially cause a crash.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER On Friday, December 9th 2022 I started my truck via pressing the push start button in the truck. The vehicle started and went through its normal start up procedures. However - once the Sync 4 infotainment screen began to come to life an extremely loud Pop - followed by a max volume static played for a few seconds. I was extremely confused and immediately attempted to turn the volume down using the volume control but it had no effect. At first - the pop was so loud I thought the noise was my window shattering but realized it was my stereo after the static began. Their was no active audio playing when this event occurred and after the static subsided, my speakers were unable to play any sounds until I turned the vehicle off overnight. My ears are still ringing from this event 2 days later - this is a massive safety hazard and one that seems to be getting no attention from Ford.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER On the morning of 12/7/2022 I got in the truck and turned it on. All the speakers made a super loud pop/bomb/gun going off sound. Then all the speakers were making a super loud crackling sound. Had no control over the audio volume, ect. Turned it the truck off and back on, still nothing but the crackling sound. 12” screen and digital dash were acting weird also (delayed coming on and not synced when powering on). After several minutes started the crackling stopped and it started playing music from my carplay. Kids said they smelt a burning smell. On 12/9/2022 it happened again. Got in and before I even started it it made a loud bomb going off sound when the digital dash and 12” screen was starting up. Then it was fine.

Dec 2022 SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN The 2022 Ford F-150 trucks are all having rust issues on the drivetrain and suspension parts. The Ford dealer has admitted there is a huge problem. It seems Ford has eliminated a coating on these parts which has allowed rust to develop even before they leave the factory. I took my truck to a local dealer and he refused to fix it under warranty. By checking the online forums you will see this is a huge problem. Rust does not fix itself. Over time it is very possible these parts will fail. I went online with a Ford customer service representative and was told someone would contact me the next day. That has been three weeks, no contact. I first noticed my rust issues a week after I took delivery of the vehicle

Nov 2022 EQUIPMENT At times when starting vehicle or when driving the sound system makes a tremendously loud gunshot noise and then full volume static from all of the speakers. Only goes away after disconnecting battery or pulling fuse 28. This scares the crap out of you and could easily cause an accident. Ford dealers have no fix from Ford and per the internet I have found that many many other F150 and Raptor owners are having this same issue. This needs to be addressed by Ford ASAP before a tragedy occurs. It is that loud and frightening!

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT I started my truck up this afternoon and heard a deafening boom and then loud crackling. At first I thought something fell on my roof and the glass was breaking. After getting out and looking around I realized the noises were coming from the speakers and under the back seat, amp area. The crackling went on for about 5 minutes and didn't stop by shutting the radio off or shutting the truck off. This seems like a very terrible safety issue.

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Twice the Truck has had the audio system go haywire. Upon startup the truck speakers hada loud pop followed by and extremely loud static type noise that hurt my ears and I still have a headache 12 hours later. The noise would not stop , the radio appeared normal but no buttons or knobs would change or lower the noise. Upon multiple restarts the noise would not go away I drove 15 minutes to the dealer so they could experience the noise 1st hand. Had there been young children in my truck I feel like they might have suffered hearing damage it was that loud, sounded like a gas leaf blower running at full speed in the cabin of my truck.
