| Dec 2023 | STRUCTURE | Driver's side door weld spots above and below the door check rod are broken. The door is not closing correctly. I'm afraid it's not going to stay closed while I'm driving. I took it to the local Ford Dealer and they confirmed this. No warnings, it suddenly started making a terrible noise when I open or shut the door. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2023 | STRUCTURE | Drivers Side Door- The “Door Check/Hinge” failed. Originally made several loud popping noises and then became hard to secure/shut. | Oct 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES,LANE DEPARTURE | Rear brakes squeak/moan when in reverse. The recent TSB from Ford states this is a recurring issue with Escape owners. My vehicle underwent the fix (which should have only taken 0.70 hours, but took 3 hours on a scheduled appointment), only to get the vehicle back and the sound is even louder than it was before. Vehicle went back in for said concern. They installed a brake muffler piece to help muffle the noise. However, whatever was done has now made the brakes loose and the peddle needs to be pushed almost to the ground. So again, the fix isn't the actual fix. Lane Departure and Crossing almost caused an accident. It had rained and there were mud/gravel dust tracks on the road. The cameras thought it was the road line and swerved me multiple times into the oncoming lane. Needless to say, I stopped this feature on my vehicle for safety reasons. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I have a foot operated lift gate and I constantly have to find the exact spot for it to open. Twice it lifted and while I was putting groceries in the back it came back down on me. The first time in smacked the back of my head and left a big knot. The second time it caught my shoulder and then I was able to get out of the way. I thought if the lift gate touched something coming down that it would go back up. It is a 2022 and does not even have 3000 miles on it. No I have not contacted the dealer. I have been extremely ill and it slipped my mind. Thank you very much for a quick reply. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The middle hinge of front door has broke off inside the door and has my window “pinched” and no longer able to be rolled up or down. Occasionally the rod that is broken off will prevent me from closing my door all the way and will come unhinged going down the road. Was 500 miles over warranty (took me a few days to bring it in due to getting a day off approved) and FORD says it’s $2500 to fix their safety flaw. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | Purchased the SUV March 4, 2023. Within the first couple of days, when coming to a stop, backing out, slowing down the brakes makes this horrendous sound. Took it into the dealership and learned of the tsb of the rotors and brakes. They also changed my oil without my permission. Upon getting my SUV back within 2 days it continues with that horrendous noise backing out, slowing down, coming to a stop and stopping. Took it back again and they changed a rotor. The service department is closed on the weekends. Immediately upon getting my vehicle it does it again, but it was a Friday. This time, I take my SUV into the dealership and explain what it's doing. They have a tech take a ride. It makes a faint noise, of course, but he heard it. Now my vehicle the brakes are squealing so loud that you would think I would need new brake pads. My vehicle goes back into the dealership for the 3rd time on Thursday! The service department is absolutely clueless on how to fix this issue! Absolutely clueless! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jun 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | After having my car for 6 months it began making a terrible noise first thing in the morning when I back out and apply the brakes. It is a bad groaning/moaning noise. When I took it in for service to the dealer they said they could not replicate the problem. The noise continued and I took it again for its regular scheduled maintenance and was again told they could not replicate the noise and that they checked the brakes and everything is fine. It is not fine...I am waiting to the brakes to fail it sounds so bad. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
