Jun 2023 STRUCTURE My 2022 Ford Bronco 2 door hard top has wind (air leak) noise where the T-top joins the hard top. The weatherstripping does not properly seal causing wind noise, possible water intrusion (potential mold issue). This wind noise has been brought to the attention of the dealer and Ford's regional field engineer. The wind noise can cause hearing problems but not hearing emergency vehicles, and potential heating loss. The voids in the weather stripping can allow water to enter interior causing a mold issue. The factory has replaced the hard top once, but the issue still persist. This is a common problem with hard top Broncos.

Jun 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Frequently, due to a software glitch recognized by Ford, the steering wheel controls fail to change the audio preset. When this happens, the driver must take their eyes off the road to adjust the radio station, which can be distracting. The problem will persist until the vehicle is restarted, and is often only noticed while driving.

Jun 2023 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE On rare but recurring occasions, perhaps twice a month, powering on the adaptive cruise control results in one of two issues: 1. The ACC will engage, but set itself for 15 MPH, even if driving at highway speeds. When this occurs, the ACC either cancels itself out, or remains on until it detects a malfunction, and then cancels itself out. 2. On rare occasion, the autonomous breaking will, upon powering on of the cruise control, seem to detect a phantom vehicle that is not there and attempt to aggressively brake. The Ford Bronco ACC is unique in that it attempts to set the ACC on when the system is powered on, unlike other vehicles where the driver must power it on and then set it.

Jun 2023 SERVICE BRAKES 2022 Ford bronco has by default an auto engine shut off when coming to a stop and set of conditions are met. The event occurred to a MANUAL transmission 2022 ford bronco. ~4/5/23, driver was driving up the canyon at an incline when encountering stop and go traffic. After stopping on the incline, the engine shut off per normal operation after shifting to neutral with the brake pedal firmly pushed. About 1-2 seconds after engine shutoff, while driver has brake firmly pushed, the car begins to roll back, with an apparent loss in brake power. Only after driver clutched in to first gear and stalled the vehicle did Vehicle arrest in its rearward motion, narrowly avoiding backing into the car that is stopped behind. From an outward observation the auto start/stop is not suited for standard manual transmission operation when stopped on an incline. The roll back apparently is due to loss of brake power/boost when the auto-start stop function stops the engine.

Jun 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER The wiper system when turned to the standard or fast wiping position during any rainfall condition will slowing reduce its speed in less than a minute to the slowest speed for both positions and stay at that speed regardless of rainfall conditions. Even in normal rainfall conditions this has caused serious responses because of the delay with wiper returning to clear water from window. Whether your coming to a stop behind someone or passing on a turnpike with semi's or even following in heavy traffic. I have been able to work around with a switch back and forth from standard to fast or fast to standard to keep the wipers moving however the same issue arises. Today is my first scheduled oil change and tire rotation, which is when I asked about the wipers. The service person had not been aware of the wiper issue. He looked it up and is told by Ford that there is no problem. No warning lights or messages.

Jun 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on High (or even Low), they automatically switch to Intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from Low to High to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield during heavy rain. Our Bronco is currently at the dealership being serviced. We were blinded in the rain storm traveling on the interstate. This is a very serious issue that needs to be resolved before someone is killed!!

May 2023 POWER TRAIN,SERVICE BRAKES 1st Issue: Antilock brake failure Brand new 2022 Bronco purchased mid Dec with around 2000 miles in February the brakes failed to stop with the pedal to the floor at traffic light and finally all 4 wheels locked up skidding into traffic. Luckily no accident. Repaired took 3 weeks to get the part. 2nd Issue: May 1st Powertrain malfunction at 3000 miles pulled up to a stop sign the engine shut off. Finally after 30 minutes the engine started back. Drove it straight to Ford Service dept. Telling me today the part they need is on indefinite backorder. Prior to the failure no lights came on, but the Ford Pass App showed them. Powertrain Malfunction, Antilock fault, Hill assist warning, and pre collision assist not available. Dealership thought is an app issue and couldn’t repair unless the lights came on. In both cases the warning lights came on after the fact.

May 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER During wiper operation in the low speed setting, after approximately 40-50 seconds of operation the wipers sometimes reduce in speed to a slow intermittent setting and stay that way until the wiper is turned to a new setting. This happens even in heavy rain, which can result in a significant safety hazard.

Apr 2023 ENGINE The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that there was low compression in cylinder #3. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 38,000.

Apr 2023 POWER TRAIN Rear differential seal failure causing gear oil to leak out. Transmission failure of 5th gear to 6th gear synchro. The failure of the seal could have lead to on road failure of vehicle, luckily the vehicle was parked when leaking started. Transmission issue causes grinding of synchro leading to possible failure. The dealer has fixed both issues for now. No warning for either failure.

Apr 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER When wipers are turned on full in heavy rain they slow down and come to a stop. I have to constantly adjust wiper speed to keep them active.

Mar 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER I do not have auto wipers or rain sensing wipers. I’ve now driven through two major rain storms and sleet all three instances required the windshield wipers to be placed into constant on speed of medium and high. The issue results after the wipers are running in these constant on positions for a short while. The issue: The wiper blade speed while in demand of constant on medium and high speed will randomly reduce speed to intermittent making a massive safety hazard when at higher speeds and visibility is poor do to high rain, sleet, and snow volume. To get the wipers to operate at the intended speed the driver must rotate the speed control to a slower speed and back up to the required speed to handle the weather situation. This has to be done frequently and is a major hazard. Many people are reporting this same wiper issue on Bronco Forums such as Bronco Nation and Bronco6G.

Mar 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER On numerous occaisions while driving in the rain, my wiper speed suddenly starts to drastically slow down/wipe intermittently, even though my vehicle speed or the amount of rainfall has not changed. This drastically reduced my visibility. If I change the wiper setting, the wipers function normally for a short time but will start to suddenly slow down again. This happens on any of the various higher wiper speed settings. I am entering a date of today, because it happened today, but it has happened before.

Mar 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER When driving in the rain with the wipers set on the low or high constant setting, the wipers will intermittently slow down or stop all together. When this issue occurs I have to cycle the wipers off then back on and the issue often repeats itself and leads to periods of zero visibility during cycling off on to correct issue. This is a serious safety concern that my dealer said is "normal" "that's how the rain sensing wiper system works". This cannot be right, I have never experienced a vehicle where the wipers slow down or stop whenever they want.

Mar 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER have a wiper control issue where at fast speeds the wipers start to slow down and go intermittent. It almost impossible to see at times. You have to play around with it to keep them going. So if it is raining small or hard all of a sudden they stop working and go intermittently and some times stop completely. This happens a lot when raining and I have told the dealer about it a few times and showed them as well from video.

Mar 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER Ford has installed a "Smart Windshield" function on 2021-23 Broncos. It is intended to protect the wipers from overheating. The issue is that it does not work. Every time I use my wipers in low or high mode after about :30 seconds they reduce speed. When driving on the highway in the rain this is extremely dangerous and the driver has to keep switching modes over and over to get the wipers to work. I have had the vehicle into the dealer twice and they agree that this is an issue but can not do anything as it is a "normal" function.
