| Mar 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I had a light pop up that said “charging system service soon” so we took the vehicle in for service. Once the dealership got back to us, each of the ports on the wiring harness are corroded. The vehicle is barely over 36,000 miles and I’m already being advised to change out the entire wiring harness so there almost has to be some fault in the coverage of this equipment | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | I live in Northern California and we have snow. I was driving after dark about 6:30PM and it was snowing. [XXX]. I was on the freeway to head to a high school performance and picking up passengers. I was on the road about 15 minutes and I was suddenly unable to see the road, it was dark and I thought my lights went off. I pulled over, with 3 passengers to find that my headlights were covered in snow and the light was not illuminating the road. I removed the snow and was able to exit at the next offramp about a half mile ahead. I stayed on the side roads that were a bit more protected by large pine trees. I was able to make it to safely, but I was at risk, with my passengers and other vehicles on the road. Thankfully, I was able to move my car later that night to get it home when it stopped snowing. I then called Ford in Auburn the next day and they said they were not aware of this issue but would see me and made an appointment. I then looked online and found many people complaining about this on many vehicles. It stems from the fact that LED lights do not emit heat. The heat is what keeps the snow from accumulating in the first place. The lights continue to be on, but you are only able to see a small glow under the snow until there is enough snow they are not seen at all. I was at the service department today at Auburn Ford that they looked at the vehicle and then looked online and can see other people with the same issue. Ford has not addressed this issue. They suggested I try Rain X or other non stick product. They said I can call ford and place a complaint and I did that today. Case #[XXX] I was then informed that I need to make a claim with the NHTSA to have this claim reviewed. I was absolutely terrified when the road went dark and I was not able to see and I could not be seen by other cars. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!! There were no warning lamps or messages, no other symptoms or failures. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | ENGINE | There is a major lag in the time from when you hit the pedal to when you start accelerating, almost like a pause. Hesitation, long lag or dead spot in accelerating. Failed to accelerate from a stop at least 3 times. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | ENGINE | I have the same complaint that many 2021-2023 Ford Bronco owners have had in regards to the 'scraping/grinding' noise in 1st and 2nd gear. I have seen this on dozens of forums and Ford acknowledged it is an issue. I was told to bring the car in when I was ready for an oil change. This is after being a second day reservation holder and waiting 2.5 years for my car to be built. The dealership told me that the transmission was bad and I needed a new transmission. It will take 10-15 weeks to get a new transmission, and in the meantime all that was offered was a less than ideal rental car (ford edge) and to wait patiently. This is a known issue that the transmissions were faulty, Ford has not been responsive in terms of getting any help/assistance otherwise, and I am not sure if this will even fix the problem. There are hundreds of other owners who have this same issue, and Ford has done nothing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | STRUCTURE | Hard top is unlaminating around rear fixed windows at around 40000 miles ford offered to pay a portion this is not an isolated issue | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | ENGINE | My bronco started having issues randomly when it went into limp mode one day. I brought it in to get fixed and it continued to happen. Ultimately, they told me that it needed a brand new engine. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | While driving on interstates 99 and Interstate 80 eastbound on 212/2024 I encountered a snowstorm with my 2022 Ford Bronco wildtrak and as I was driving I was unable to see after a few minutes in the snowstorm because my headlights were covered with snow I couldn't easily pull off on the side of the road on the highway due to all of the truck and vehicle traffic so I had to attempt to drive unsafe behind a tractor trailer until I can get to an exit to wipe the headlights off this is the second time this has happened to me as the Ford dealer said basically the LED headlights do not generate heat so you should expect to have this with every snowstorm as long as you own the vehicle I found it to be very unsafe as I had my wife and daughter in the car with me and I had to pull over approximately every three miles due to the headlights being iced over and not even ice just snow and like it was a wet heavy snow | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | POWER TRAIN | When starting engine cold if ambient temperatures are below 50F, scraping and grinding sound comes from manual transmission while in neutral, 1st or 2nd gear while clutch is engaged. After warming up noise is going away. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V825000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | I drive a 2022 Ford Bronco and I now have had to replace my windshield for a third time in 5 months from just a tiny rock hitting it. This most recent time on January 22, 2024 was a tiny rock that hit on my windshield on the lower left side of the drivers view. It made contact on the brow or bottom part of the windshield and the following morning it had grown vertically 3 inches. I went to drive to the grocery store and it was raining. The crack then grew as I was driving horizontally across the entire windshield almost reach the other edge on the passenger side of it. I do believe it’s the more straight angle of the windshield that makes it take direct impact so I am proposing Ford go to a strong gorilla glass for its windshields like Jeep did. I’ve heard from a few Bronco owners and Ford employees this has been an issue. Can you please look into this as I don’t think Ford Bronco owners should be punished with constant windshield repairs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | STRUCTURE | Hard top rear section delaminating due to unfinished edges allowing moisture to enter ford offered to cover all but $1200.00 being the vehicle now has over 40000 miles believe it's a manufacturer defect should cover all cost | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Ford recall 23C05 states that the Accessory Protocol Interface Module software update is still incomplete. This was issued in March of 2023 with an expected remedy by the end of 2023. One month later, I still have not received a resolution to this issue. I cannot use this vehicle for my business because of an open recall. I feel that Ford has an obligation to resolve this matter in a timely manner and that time has past. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | TRAILER HITCHES | The tow bar bent resulting in partially detaching one of the baseplates from the vehicle and damaging the bumper, intercooler, and splash shield. The bar only lasted 5 months and 5,650.6 miles of use. I asked Blue Ox to refund the money I spent on the two items and the money to fix my vehicle. They denied the claim asserting the bolts fell out - the bolts were all returned to them as part of their investigative process. If they had fallen out, I would no longer have had them in my possession to return as this failure occurred on I-95 somewhere between FL and SC. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN | Car was in park and on a steep incline and rolled backwards. 6 months ago it rolled forwards when in a steep incline. The parking break was also set. It still rolled and I had to jump Back into the car and step in break I checked it was in park and the parking break was on. I went into the house and my car had rolled into the ditch. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | While driving in temperatures 20 degrees F or below the wind shield wipers function and wipe but the fluid does not squirt out. It has created issues of extreme reduced visibility because of the smearing with no fluid. The vehicle is undrivable on a cold sunny day or dark night. In warmer temperatures the wipers wipe and squirt fluid adequately. Issue can easily be reproduced with low temperature weather. The issue has not been inspected by dealer or other 3rd party. Vehicle is available upon request. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving in inclement snowy weather, snow became stuck to the front headlights. Due to the failure, visibility was obstructed while driving at night. The contact frequently pulled over and manually cleared the headlights of snow to resume driving with greater visibility. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 700. | Crash: No Fire: No | 700 |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Issues started at 9000 miles Doors/windows shaking badly, worse over street imperfections. Cannot roll windows down half way as the shaking is to point of breaking, glass has potential to shatter endangering driver and passenger Noise in rear of vehicle, possible the roof panel or liftgate Issues were Inspected by 2 Ford dealers on 3 separate occasions Temporary adjustment made to doors/windows until the fix is in - 2023 Rear noise ongoing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | like NHTSA ID number 11490060 the headlights on my 2022 Bronco will randomly come on and go off when the vehicle is parked. When checking the position of the headlight switch it is not at any illuminated position (un-commanded). This problem has caused the vehicle battery to drain charge. The low battery shuts down the auto stop/start feature. The dealer service department is unaware of the headlight problem. They replaced the battery under the 3 year warranty. All Ford and the service departments have to do is Google "2022 Ford Bronco headlight problem". This is an ongoing problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | Not exactly sure how it started to happen. Meaning there was a powertrain malfunction so my Ford computer tells me, which caused the vehicle to not restart and in addition to it not restarting, the vehicle also didn't have brakes, so it simply rolled backwards without any control until I hit a tree to stop me. On the way down, I also hit the bumper and damaged it and also hit the driver's side mirror on a rock on the way down. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Drivers side window extreme rattle when partially open, risk of window shatter while driving vehicle over bumpy terrain at moderate speeds 30-50 mph. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
