| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The front passenger door does not open from the interior causing passenger to be trapped within. The only way to open passenger door is from the exterior. I took Traverse to GM dealership on September 30, 2025. GM dealership removed door panel, and stated the front door lock cable was not attached to door handle assembly. Traverse was repaired on October 1, 2025. The charge was $199.99 plus tax. I purchased this car used in July 2024. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE | Transmission is slipping while driving | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Received "shift to park message" after car was placed in park mode; was unable to turn the car off. Had to restart and take the gear in and out of park multiple times before I was able to turn the car off. The sensors did not recognize that the car was in park. Took the car to the Chevy dealership. They discovered an internal fault that caused the vehicle to not recognize that it was in park. Chevy replaced the gearshift assembly and jumper harness. The "shift to park" error message is no longer present (for now). I'm concerned this may happen again; my cost to repair was $651.24. This repair should be covered under a vehicle recall as it is an ongoing issue with some Chevrolet vehicles, along with the persistent squeaky brakes. This shift to park issue is not covered if the bumper-to-bumper warranty has expired. It may, however, be covered if you have an extended warranty. There are multiple vehicles reported with this issue as seen in the online forums. Some models were previously recalled or repair cost was covered by Chevy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and occupied, the shift to park warning light illuminated. The contact moved the gear shifter, and the warning light turned off. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,195. | Crash: No Fire: No | 54,195 |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Around 65,000 miles I started to get a "Shift to Park" message when I tried to turn off the engine. The car was already in park. This is continuing to happen. I see that it has been an issue on this model since 2016. There needs to be a recall on this issue. You need to be able to turn off your car. Service Bulletins have been sent out but no recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | When parking and shutting off vehicle I get a notification on my dash "Shift to Park" along with dinging noise. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Check engine light came on. Chevy traverse lost power and would not shift past 45 miles an hour. Once parked a bad bucking when put into reverse and loss of power or the vehicle would not move and revved as if out of gear despite being put into gear. Had vehicle towed to Hubert Vester Chevrolet in Wilson NC where we purchased it with no remedy because symptoms would not replicate for the two weeks they had the vehicle. We drove it for a week, and the same thing happened again. Bucking started when slowing down. Towed to Phelps Chevrolet Greenville NC with same results of no repair or diagnoses after they kept it for three weeks. Neither dealership would provide a loaner vehicle. Vehicle is under extended drivetrain and bumper to bumper 100,000-mile warranties with no remedy for the issue. We are afraid to drive the vehicle but making payments on it. My personal code reader purchased from Wal-Mart scanned a P2715 Pressure control solenoid D stuck on and P0700 transmission control system. However, the dealerships would not accept the information for repairing the vehicle saying they were showing as past check engine light stored codes. Invoices for both unresolved incidents are attached. Vester applied for changing the transmission fluid with our warranty but unsure if it was completed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The vehicle shows 'shift to park' when the vehicle is parked. Error has been occurring since June and the dealership will not warranty the sensor repair and replacement. Burns Chevrolet dealership quoted me $600 to replace it. Dealership acknowledged that it is a known issue and has affected many models, especially the Traverse. There is a technical service bulletin for the issue and should be a recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that occasionally, after shifting into park(P), the message to "Shift to Park" was displayed on the instrument panel. There were no warning lights illuminated. During the failure, the contact was unable to turn off the vehicle. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced Technical Service Bulletin Number: 19-NA-206; as a possible cause for failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 85,000 |
| Aug 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | When attempting to put my 2022 Chevy Traverse in "Park," the vehicle does not always recognize that it is in the Park position. As a result, the system will not allow me to fully turn off the engine or power down the vehicle. I often have to shift between gears and attempt to place it in Park multiple times before the vehicle senses it correctly. This issue occurs intermittently and poses both safety and usability concerns, as the vehicle may not be fully secured when I believe it is in Park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | When park it keeps saying put car on park | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | When I put my car in park, then turn off my car, it says I need to shift to park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jul 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES | Brakes began making noise soon after purchasing, was told the sound was normal. Eventually brakes started to fail car would not stop even at slow speeds. Was told it needed new brake pads. Replaced pads then a couple months pads began to grind and again brakes would not stop. Was told I needed to replace pads ice again. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Shift to park error code where vehicle does not turn off and vehicle does not appear to be in park. GM vehicles had this issue in the past and still appear to have this same issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After buying 2022 Chevrolet Traverse premier started to notice a hissing noise. When I got somone to look at it I was informed that the weld on the bracket had broke. Since then due to vibration my exhaust manifold has cracked and I was quoted almost $2500 to repair it. I have noticed that I'm Not The Only One online but it's dealing with this issue that there are several people that have the exact same issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | ENGINE | Special Coverage N242445280 Front exhaust pipe mounting bracket breaks creating a hole in the exhaust pipe. Coverage referrers to Left side pipe, but bracket connects to both left and right side pipe and when breaks can brake on both pipes at the bracket location creating an exhaust hole in either / both pipes. Currently GM is only replacing the left side but needs to replace both. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I have noticed several instances where my vehicle does not go in park when I put it in park. The engine still runs after turning off because of this and sometimes I don't catch that it has not locked in park and I get out of it and the vehicle will roll | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN | When I shift the vehicle to park to turn it off, I keep getting a warning / error message that I need to "shift to park"; even thought the gear shift is in park. I have to keep repeating the process multiple times in order to exit the vehicle. Most times I have to shift to park, sit and wait upwards of 5 minutes before turning the car off and it registering that it's in park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | When slowing down there is a grinding sound. Everytime i take it to the dealership they say they don't see anything. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, an alarm that indicated that the vehicle was not parked sounded, while the gear shifter was in park(P) and the engine was turned off. The contact stated that the failure had been persisting. An unknown dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The VIN was unavailable. | Crash: No Fire: No | 50,000 |
| Sep 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Nearly every time I go to turn the power off the screen says "shift to park" but it's in park. The engine turns off and the vehicle SEEMS to be in park, but who knows? Then it keeps "dinging" and won't turn off. When I walk away with the keys it honks at me. I'm assuming it eventually turns off, I've been setting the parking brake. I checked google and lots of people are talking about this issue - I would recommend GM do a recall for this as it's super annoying and potentially a safety issue if the vehicle doesn't know what gear its in. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | POWER TRAIN | Shift to park issue- on a weekly basis shift to park shows up on my vehicle. The only way to fix the issue is reverse multiple times put vehicle in drive and then park hoping the issue will resolve on its own. At times it does not and I have to retry the method on most cases it does resolve after a few minutes but the issue occurs again a few days later. •Vehicle is available for inspection, I have brought my vehicle to the dealership but they won’t fix the issue until I pay for services and I am unable to at this time. •Safety is at risk because If your vehicle is already parked and it still states "shift to park," it could indicate a malfunction in the vehicle's electronic systems also this could potentially lead to unexpected issues, such as the vehicle rolling away if the parking mechanism fails. •This vehicle has been inspected by the dealership during oil changes and they have been made aware of this current issue with the vehicle. •No warring displays besides the notification of shift to park. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2024 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact noticed minor shaking and unusual sounds coming from the transmission. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed with burned transmission parts. The transmission was rebuilt, and the burned parts were replaced. The contact stated that the dealer declined to sign off on the completion of the repair because of the ongoing failures with the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the transmission had been flushed and upgraded several days prior to the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was almost involved in a crash due to the failure. In addition, the contact stated that when the failure occurred, the contact's two-year-old child was an occupant in the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced electrical issues several times since the vehicle was purchased two years ago. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 44,000 |
| Sep 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Shifting into park. When you stop put car in park(It shows in P but when you turn off car error message comes on) shift into park even though car is already in park | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
