| Sep 2023 | STEERING | Driving on I-91 at 60-65 mph and steering wheel locked up making vehicle control impossible. I could have collided with multiple vehicles, was lucky enough that vehicle swerved off exit ramp and jumped a curb into a nearby gas station. Cautiously drove vehicle to nearby dealership and currently onsite under evaluation by Chrysler corporate. There was an intermittent warning light to service the " gear shifter" a few months before but dealer could not find code when vehicle examined so dismissed until happening again. This incident affected me emotionally and I'm now hesitant to drive this vehicle post repair on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ENGINE | There is now some slippage in 2nd and 3rd gear The recall was re-issued in March of 2023. There has been no remedy nor any other offer to allow for a customer instigated solution to this dangerous problem since then. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | Vehicle has known steering/suspension issue knows as the Jeep "death wobble". It has now been in the shop for this twice with no fix. The first attempt took place approximately June 17, 2023. The car is now back in the service center addressing the same issue and had to be towed to the dealership. Owner does not feel safe driving the vehicle. I am attaching service report from first visit. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving the "Service Shifter" warning appeared in the center cluster notification area repeatedly. There was reduced vehicle performance and a continuous chime alert from the vehicle. Turned the vehicle off, waited several minutes and then turned the vehicle back on and the "Service Shifter" warning appeared again with the continuous chime audio alert. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Check Engine Light and Excessive Engine Coolant Leak; Inspected by a manufacturer dealer and seller dealership; Initial dealer stated it wasn't drivable due to the amount of coolant leaking as part of the tubing was melted due to improperly being afixed and being to close to the exhaust; Yes. The same issue was reported 3 times before the issue I had in regards to the check engine light and a recall on the coolant leak was indicated to be fixed in March 2023 but continued to be an issue now; Warning light for the check engine appeared the same day I brought the vehicle in. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My car was called in for a recall. The dealership stated they don’t have the correct software to update the issue but said to come back when they do. They never fixed my vehicle and now it’s howling my recall was fixed. But my car is still having the electrical issue and it almost shut off on the freeway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My rear locker is trying to lock while driving in 2H causing the light to flash constantly. Now due to that occurring the service locker is on this is a known issue and needs to become a recall as most Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators have this same issue | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The Engine light came on 3 weeks ago and I took it to the auto shop to find out what is wrong. P1547 is the code that the auto mechanic told me was coming up on the scan. He said it could be the gas cap so I had that replaced, but the light came back on in 2 days. He said that this is the 2nd Jeep Wrangler he has seen with the same engine light and code and believes it has something to do with the fuel system. My Jeep is less than 3 years old and only has 22,556 miles on it. I have only driven it around town and on the highways. Have taken very good care of the vehicle and have replaced the oil as directed. This has to be a manufacturers error and something that is quite concerning if it has to do with the fuel system. Please advise on how to proceed. I will be reaching out to Jeep corporate office as well to let them know about this issue and to see which service center they would like me to take the vehicle to. | Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | I went to the dealership. They said since there were no lights or messages on dashboard they really couldn’t do anything. I insisted on them looking at it and they scheduled an appointment a week later. They said I have to leave the car with them for a week so they can look at it. They won’t give me a loaner to drive and they are short staffed so the car just sits on their lot for a week. This is completely unacceptable. There was no sense of urgency on something that could’ve turned into a tragic accident driving on the highway in Chicago. I took the car home. It was driving ok this week until today Saturday 8/27, my appointment is for Monday and car is completely dead and won’t start. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | When I was driving normally the service shifter, service electronic stability control, auto park disabled error message displayed. Also the traction control light, parking brake light and the cargo light all turned on. Then lost power steering, at full speed. Tried to safely pull off the road. Coasted to a stop, where I then lost all power to the vehicle. Was unable to restart. Had it towed to Jeep dealership, for further inspection. The third time for the same issue. With no resolution or repairs. As they say, they can not reproduce the catastrophic failure. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer. It happened so suddenly I barely had time to pull over. If I was driving in the middle lane or on highways. I would have lost power steering, and stopped in the middle of the road. At higher rates of speed or other circumstances. It could have caused serious injuries, or even deaths. I am no longer comfortable driving this vehicle. For risk of personal injury or death, and being a danger to other drivers on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Dealership found terminals to connector to fuel pressure regulator were not crimped properly and loose. Repair was made. Aug 2023. Symptom have resurfaced this time logging code and shutting off while accelerating through an intersection. Logged code again P0001 Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit/Open. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | As I review events in chronological order, I see that a possible disconnect might be caused by clumping the symptoms together and treating as the “death wobble,” when in fact I may be experiencing two separate issues, the first being a failed steering damper and the second being caused by possible bad ball joint[s]. I first started to experience an issue around 7,000 miles in where the Jeep would pull to the right. It was a strong pull because my steering wheel would be turned to the left at about 15-25 degrees to the left in order to keep straight. had them check the alignment. The invoice said the alignment was checked and it was “ok,” December 24 – Florida gets a cold front and we experienced temperatures in the low 20’s with the high temperature peaking at 32 or 33 degrees for a couple days. I drive my normal route on the highway and as I am approaching 65 mph, I go over a transition from asphalt to concrete bridge and the car starts to do the death wobble, where a strong vibration from the front end shook the car until I let off the gas and slowed down to about 40mph. my sister-in-law also experienced in her 2020 Jeep, the same day the freeze set in. Ive had steering gearbox changed and two stabilizers replaced already, JEEP TSB once stated: JL JT have unique torque values for ball joints as compared to prior JK models due to material (aluminum knuckles) and design changes. I guarantee its the crappy ball joints and they REFUSE to admit it. Jeep still claims they cant duplicate the issue or i need to replace tires (that are wearing unevenly bc of ball joint issues) befor they can continue diagnosis. 4 different dealerships. 4 different outcomes. even [XXX] from their corporate office stopped responding to me. | Aug 2023 | STEERING | Serious steering wobble while driving on highway in Denver at approx. 65 mph yesterday plus same serious wobble at lower speed (~60 mph) while passing car on country road. Took nearly a mile to stop the wobble and speed reduction to around 35 mph to stop! Very dangerous situations in both cases. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the clutch and transmission failed to operate as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 30,500. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | 30,500 |
| Aug 2023 | SUSPENSION | The upper spring perch located at passenger rear is welded to the frame on one side and a crossmember on another. The two vertical welds failed with the remaining welds being at the top of the spring perch. The only indications of a problem were an occasional knocking sound when going over a bump and severe vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle. The noise was caused by the spring perch flexing and tapping the bottom of the body. I believe the welds broke early this year but the source of the noise wasn't found until July 2023. With prolonged use in this condition the spring perch can completely fail causing the spring and perch to fall out and make the driver lose control. The dealership submitted pictures and the manufacturer has agreed to replace the entire frame. There are a handful of other people that have reported the same problem (always on the passenger rear) but because of the design, I suspect as these vehicles age stress fractures in the weld will make this issue more prevalent. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I had the front wheels “wobble”. I had shocks replaced and a steering damper installed. The front end still bounces up and down, or wobbles, on every interstate overpass at interstate speeds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SUSPENSION | Today doing approximately 65 to 70 miles per hour on highway 20 in Ft Worth just hit approximately 1 1/2 inch transition in pavement where they had added an extra layer of asphalt in the lane I was in the vehicle started wabbeling so bad I thought it was going to change lanes, approximately 10 miles later it did the same thing again felt like the front wheels were about to come off the vehicle. I have called Meador Jeep in Ft Worth and they recommended I park the Jeep and not drive it until they can get it in and check it on 8-25-23 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Fuel Sensor is way off. Have ran out of gas less than 2 mins after dropping below a 38 mile range twice now. Drive 20 miles round trip everyday and go through a 60 mile range on my vehicle. I watch the range decrease by four or five miles while in idle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STEERING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Persistent death wobble vehicle is stock with no modifications. Driving at 65 on the highway a single small bump will cause violent shaking of the steering wheel and the front end. The shaking is aggressive enough to make you lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. The vehicle has been for service multiple times for this issue. Every time the issue persist without resolve. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V767000 (Fuel System, Gasoline, Engine) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | When coming to a stop and electric power is depleted, the vehicle will engage the gas engine and accelerate through a brake. I have to fight the vehicle to come to a complete stop because the engine is pulling me forward through the brake. Due to the unpredictability of the braking system, I must leave a greater stopping distance than required and have almost been in accidents. CAUSE UNKNOWN. I believe the powertrain, engine, and braking systems are involved. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership shop several times for this problem, and one software update was offered to try to fix the issue, but the issue is ongoing. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 6 - 29 - 23 when engine was started several warning lamps lit up including service electric stability control . as i drove the vehicle the power steering was out and vehicle was hard to control . had vehicle towed to dealership service dept. vehicle in warranty . no repairs done to vehicle and as of 8 - 7 - 23 vehicle is still in the shop. safety of me and others at risk if vehicle continues in this condition without repair. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | POWER TRAIN,STRUCTURE | Issue 1--Open recall since 2/23/2023 with no remedy available (over 5 months) From manufacturer: In some circumstances, the clutch pressure plate may become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to rapidly fracture. When a pressure plate fractures, it may result in cracks or holes in the transmission case, allowing heated debris to be expelled from the transmission case. Safety Risk Heated debris expelled from the transmission bellhousing may come in contact with an ignition source in the vehicle or surrounding area, potentially leading to a fire. A fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Issue 2--Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 31-002020) dated 10/27/2020 related to rust. This issue was reported to my dealer May 2023 and over 60 days later, the burden is on me to take to a body shop for an estimate to be covered under warranty. Said body shop has had claims open on same issue >120 days with no parts available and no date of parts available. Due to this cosmetic issue on the vehicle, I am unable to trade it in to a dealership for a new car without receiving a lower trade in value. I am now stuck driving a vehicle with cosmetic issues, as I do not want to lose thousands on trade in due to a cosmetic issue that is of no fault of my own. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
