FOR CRYING OUTLOUD I HAD MY GRAND BABIES WITH ME AND ALMOST GOT INTO A THREE-WAY CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE PALISADE DECIDED NOT TO GO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. HYUNDAI NEEDS TO FIX ALL FAULTY AWD COUPLINGS THAT MAKE THE TIRES TURN PROPERLY. MY FRIEND HAS A 23 MODEL AND HAVING SAME ISSUES IT IS ALSO AN ALL-WHEEL DRIVE PALISADE. DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS HYUNDAI IS AWARE AND THERE IS A FORUM ON THIS ISSUE BUT NO RECALL THIS IS INSANE. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My sunroof was working perfectly fine a month ago. I opened it while i was driving to get some air 10/28/2025 and heard a cracking noise. I immediately stopped it. The glass was off the track and it would not close. It only opens a little then stops. Took it to Hyundai dealership and they said in their report"the tracks are cracked, glass came off the track and tracks are warped." This is going to cost me 3k and this was clearly a malfunction of the vehicle!! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SEAT BELTS | Subject: Stop-Sale Violation — Hyundai Palisade Recall #25V607000 I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Palisade (VIN [XXX], from Napleton Palatine Hyundai, Illinois. The dealer completed the sale even though the vehicle was under an active stop-sale order related to Recall #25V607000 / Campaign 283 (Seat Belt Buckle). The recall remedy is not yet available, and the dealership has refused to release the vehicle after purchase. This situation leaves the consumer paying for a loan and insurance without possession of the vehicle and represents a potential stop-sale violation under 49 U.S.C. §30120(i). Please investigate this case and confirm whether the dealership violated federal recall and consumer protection requirements. | Nov 2025 | ENGINE | The engine failed due to oil consumption. The engine burns to much oil. It burns more oil than it holds during normal intervals between changes. It also did NOT give any oil lights or engine lights on the dash (not one indicator came on). When we took it in the service advisor told us the computer had indicated a problem, but that was for the technician. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | SEAT BELTS | The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts); and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and the manufacturer was contacted. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | STRUCTURE | Tried to open sunroof and it came off its track and twisted which caused some pieces to break. It is stuck in an open position. The vehicle has 144,000 miles so it no longer has any warranty coverage. We had to gorilla tape it down otherwise it could fly off while going down the road. I’ve read there has been many of the same incident happening to others. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | ENGINE | I own a 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy with approximately 114,000 miles. The transmission had to be replaced at around 98,000 miles. Recently, before my next scheduled oil change (I had about 1,000 miles left), my vehicle suddenly began making a loud knocking noise and lost power. The dealer informed me that the engine may have blown. There were no warning lights, oil indicators, or overheating signs before this happened. The car has been regularly maintained and serviced with timely oil changes. This appears to be a premature engine failure possibly related to oil consumption or an internal defect, as many other Palisade owners have reported similar issues. Hyundai Consumer Affairs has been contacted, and a case number is being opened for review. I am filing this complaint to report a potential widespread engine problem and request investigation into 2021 Hyundai Palisade engine reliability and oil-related failures. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SEAT BELTS | The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (SEAT BELTS); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | SEAT BELTS | Whenever I’m getting in my car and I’m trying to start it sometimes I will move just a little bit in my seat and my seatbelt will come out of the seatbelt assembly and then my car will automatically put on the emergency brake. This has happened on multiple occasions for my seatbelt will just pop out of the latch without me pushing on the button. This has significantly decrease my confidence that my car will keep me safe in the event of a crash. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | While driving after owning the car for only 2 months and before the next oil change was dure the car started surging and then died when turning a corner. No check engine light or any warning or error lights triggered on the car. The car was restarted and limped home slowly about 2 min from where I'd shut off. The hood was opened and oil lipstick checked to find no oil in the vehicle. Not oil leaks anywhere, no check oil or engine light and no error codes found by dealership. The dealership confirmed no oil leak and consumption issue, oil change done and have to return in another month to jump through hoops to get engine repaired as this is a consumption issue not a leak issue. Dealership is playing games with us around this and trying to get out of repairing the car. But internal engine issue was confirmed. Vehicle returned to us unrepaired to drive for 1000 miles and return for further review even though the issue was confirmed. This is a safety risk to me, and others on the road. Hyundai of Union County is the dealership playing games in getting this repaired. , | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | Oil Consumption- Oil is being consumed at a rapid rate. Even when there is no oil in the vehicle, there are no lights that show up to signify low/empty oil. Once the oil is run dry, the car begins to make noises, can not accelerate, and jolts while driving. Oil must be checked every 2,000 miles. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Leaking coolant: I have noticed that the coolant tank is empty a couple of days before and took it to the dealership and filled that. In 24hrs I saw the level went from full to lower level (so there is certainly leak happening. However, the dealership in not able to identify leak after 7-8 hrs testing. What is wrong with hyundai palisade 2021? I am not sure if it is safe to drive. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | My vehicle is using too much oil. I was between oil changes and my car did a safety shut down while I was driving on the busy highway with my grandchildren and left me like a sitting duck. I was finally able to get it off the middle of the highway by restarting the vehicle. My engine light was lit up. I parked it for 15 minutes and then restarted it and traveled the 40miles to home. The next day I took it to our local mechanic and he ran the code and it shut down for safety due to no oil in the vehicle. He added 4 quarts for me. 96033 was the mileage showing on my sticker for when the next oil change was due. My current mileage showed 94743 showing I still had 1290 miles before my next oil change was due. I have always used Swope Hyundai in Elizabethtown, KY for my vehicle service. I called and scheduled an oil consumption test. I did what they said and they said that it was an acceptable amount of oil loss per Hyundai standards. I am still over 1000 miles away from needing my oil change and my husband has been checking my oil for me about every 1000 miles. He stated that he has put in 5 quarts of oil in my vehicle since my last oil change. If he had not done this then I would have been left in a terrible situation again out on the road endangered of being crushed by semi trucks etc. when my vehicle would have shut down again for safety reasons to protect the engine. Why am I paying over 800 per month on a vehicle that is burning oil, I cannot trust and I work out of town 80 mile round trip and mane numerous trips to town for my grandchildren's activities. I need answers to this problem with immediate solutions. I love my vehicle but I do not love this oil consumption issue. I have researched and I do see that many of this type of vehicles both Hyundai and Kia have had issues. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING | The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle lost motive power. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced due to excessive oil consumption. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified on the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 107,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 107,000 |
| Oct 2025 | SEAT BELTS | My car seatbelt has been coming undone for years- since I bought the car brand new. I immediately reported to Hyundai. They cleaned it and claimed it’s fixed. I left and my seatbelt came undone again. I bring it back and they said it’s recalled but there’s no solution. How is this okay? I am supposed to drive with a faulty seatbelt that unbuckles while driving and Hyundai is going to allow it?? If I crash and it comes undone and I die then what? They have let this problem go on for years with no solution. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Our 2021 Palisade is burning 2-3 quarts of oil per 500 - 800 miles. | Sep 2025 | Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness | Magnetic chest clip will pop open after clipped. With one finger underneath you can entirely pop it open. Our original chest did the same thing, so chicco sent a new one and now just about a year later, this one also failed. Chicco is now sending a non-magnetic chest clip to remedy, however, this seems to be a further reaching problem. I am a CPST. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE | The engine has been intermittently cutting off every day. We have taken it to the dealership multiple times, and they say they cannot recreate the issue, so there is absolutely nothing that they can do. The vehicle will shake a little bit and then turn off. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The tachometer on my 2021 Hyundai Palisade failed at 70,000 miles. The tachometer sometimes displays RPM at 0 and other times at 9000 during normal driving. The engine speed appears normal regardless of what the tachometer displays. The dealer diagnosed the problem requiring the cluster assy-instrument (part number 94001-S8640) to be replaced. I'm not sure if other information displayed on this screen is accurate or working properly. The vehicle is within the 5 year warranty but outside the 60,000 mile warranty. The dealer quoted $926.75 for the part and $290 additional for labor. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ENGINE | Engine consuming way to much oil. Did oil consumption test and it is going through a quart and half every 800 miles. Dealership is dragging there feet on getting this taken care. They put a solution in to see if that would fix it. Now it is eating oil more I have to put two quarts of oil in every week. There is no low oil indicator on this vehicle which is terrible so you have to check it or pay attention to the noise. The car runs so rough when it is low a quart and sometimes the engine stutters. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Second row window seat seat belt doesn't latch properly, will latch and come unlatched. Backup parking sensor goes off, back up camera stopped working | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | SEAT BELTS | The middle row outside seat belts have both not latched when trying to buckle and have come unlatched after buckling and latching. This has happened multiple times on both sides and while the vehicle is in motion. The problem has been reported to a local Hyundai service department but since no remedy has been produced yet, they have not been replaced which makes those seats unusable. This is obviously a huge safety concern to any passenger in the backseat and now have 2 less seats in our SUV. There were no indicators or warning symptoms prior to the seat belts malfunctioning. It first started around April 2024 and is still an issue currently | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Opened the sunroof and a loud popping sound followed by complete sunroof failure and a loud flapping sound from sunroof which appears to be from the sunroof wind deflector that is not attached I tried to take photos of this too, I pulled over and the sunroof has completely come off the runners on one side leaving it not flush to the roof, it was scary for myself and my child in the car, I did some research and found a technical service bulletin which I was not aware of even though I regularly maintain my vehicle at the dealership. I took it down the dealership who charged me $179 to tell me it was broken and put some plastic wrap on and told me as I’m 200 miles out of warranty that repairs are $3000, I have been in touch with Hyundai USA who don’t seem to care about this issue, vehicle is available for inspection, there was no warning at all I just opened the sunroof and this randomly happened also to add I have only used the sunroof a handful of times since I have owned the vehicle from brand new. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
