| Mar 2023 | SEATS | Drivers power seat will not adjust back only forward. Function only moves back based on preset settings manual lever not working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | There is a recall for the trailer hitch that has no solution. Hyundai just pulled the fuse and you can not pull a trailer which is why I purchased the SUV. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER,VISIBILITY | Two cracks to windshield that started spontaneously from the upper and lower edges of windshield when vehicle was only a few months old. Both cracks immediately lengthened 2.5 to 3 feet within 15 minutes of crack starting. Multiple small chips over past 2 years that have not occurred in our other vehicles that are driven similar routes and distances. It is evident that there is a problem as so many other owners have complained of the same issue . With the ease in which these windshields chip and crack , it is very concerning for safety in that it would likely provide little protection in a crash and it likely does not meet safety standards. Based on the major cracks starting spontaneously on the edges, it could be a problem with the frame/structure as well as lack of strength in the glass. Steps should be taken to correct this issue before serious injuries or fatalities occur. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | I bought this car as a certified pre-owned, picked it up on January 18, 2023. This is our family car and we took it on a 350 mile each way road trip on Jan 27. Upon arrival to our destination, driving around the city I noticed a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. I checked the oil and there wasn't oil registering on the dipstick, so I added 5 quarts of oil to the car to get us home on Sunday Jan 29. Upon returning home, I got the car back to the dealer and they had it for a couple days but "couldn't replicate the smoke". The dealer began an oil consumption test based on Hyundai's instructions. Now I have to take the car back in every 1,000 miles to be checked. I picked the car up on Feb 9 and have continued to drive it around with white smoke coming out the back end in multiple scenarios: after sitting at a stoplight, stop sign, turning from a slow speed, or even starting to accelerate on the freeway after slow (not stopped) traffic. The engine knocks when accelerating after most turns, between 20-30mph. Not only is it embarrassing to have big white plumes of smoke at the back of the car, it doesn't feel safe for my family or good for the car to continue driving to get to 1,000 miles and go have it checked for the next 4,000 miles. Hyundai certainly knows of the problems and are making me "prove" issues through their oil consumption test. Meanwhile, I drive a car that has horrible exhaust fumes, and causes safety concerns as it could stop running anywhere, anytime. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | ENGINE | My wife and myself were on a little road trip and the vehicle lost power while on the freeway. It wouldn't go over 60 mph which was concerning as we were in the middle of freeway traffic. I managed to get to an exit and shut off the vehicle. I restarted it and it seemed to be fine. We continued to where we were going and on the way home, the same thing happened, again at freeway speeds. I was able to exit again, turned the vehicle off then restarted and it was ok. We were almost home and it shut off, while driving which is exciting but not in a good way. It restarted and ran fine. It did throw an engine code this time. It said it was a fuel pressure issue. A few days later we figured we should take it by the dealership, which is two hours from our home, and my daughter, my wife and myself headed that way. On the way while driving 60+mph the engine came apart. The cabin filled with smoke and it was hard to steer and brake on top of not being able to see. The engine had multiple holes in it. We had it towed to the dealership and they said the engine wasn't covered as we had the services done at a shop local to us (services were all documented). I've been around engines and cars my entire life and am a mechanic and have never seen a vehicle with 100,000 miles have an engine fail this badly. We're having to put a new engine in just so we can get rid of this car as I don't fill it's safe for my wife or kids to be in with these issues and a manufacturer that just shrugs it off when their product fails this badly. We've spent the last several weeks between the dealer and manufacturer trying to get resolution but nothing. It's our fault this happened they said. If we had only gotten it serviced by them then this wouldn't of happened. I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | STEERING | When the steering wheel is turned completely to one side or the other there is a loud thud and the steering wheel "bucks". It has momentarily locked once. This is dangerous when driving. The Hyundai service center verified the issue. Advised not to turn the wheel all the way over and to disengage the auto engine idle. They said it was due to voltage issue. A copy of the service report is attached. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2023 | TRAILER HITCHES | The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V633000 (Trailer Hitches) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2023 | POWER TRAIN | There were signs before it even happened. The gear got stuck in 5th gear and couldn't go up or down. Even after that, the shock and gear did not engage properly when shifting gears. That day, while driving at 40 miles, the gear shifted out and didn't engage any gear. I turned on my emergency lights, parked on the shoulder, turned off the engine, and then started again to get into gear and drive. After driving for about 5 minutes, the same symptoms occurred. brewed in the same way. I was so scared I drove slowly to the dealer | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | On 1/24/2023 I was driving down the road from my home to go to work when, as I was going down an incline, my brakes started pulsing and I lost all braking ability. I drove thru a stop sign, into the intersection and was able to steer the car down the road. It was down a hillside. I was able to eventually stop the vehicle approximately a mile and half from where the brakes failed. I was instructed by the dealership to have the car towed to them so they could evaluate what happened. I did this. The dealership is trying to assess what happened. After 1 week, they replaced all 4 tires, did an alignment and replaced a leaking rear shock. The vehicle had 36,201 miles as of 1/24/2023. The dealership claims that the wear on the tires and the vehicle being out of alignment caused the wheel speed sensor to misread the speed and triggered the ABS to unlock all brakes. When this happened, all the warning lights for the braking system came on: ABS, Auto Hold, Traction Control, Forward Colision Avoidance System, Downhill Descent Control. I had nothing to stop me. Thankfully, no other vehicles came thru the intersection when my vehicle lost control. The dealership has, after a week, supplied me with a loaner vehicle. They are trying to duplicate the loss of brakes and all the lights that were activated when I lost my brakes. I also mentioned to the Service Manager at the dealership that I have repeatedly been asking the technicians to check the tires and to rotate the tires at our last few service appointments and had been assured the tires were fine and the tire rotation would be done. We normally have the tire rotation done every 7,000 miles due to the fact that it is an AWD. If this had been done as we requested, how could this happen? Wouldn't someone have noticed uneven tire wear? Our major concern is that when the brakes fail, you have no backup braking system in place. Is there something wrong with the programming for the electronic braking system? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We received a Safety Recall for the Tow Hitch on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. We took the vehicle to the dealership last summer and they removed the fuse and therefore, disabled the towing ability of the vehicle. It has been over 5 months since this was done. Hyundai still does not have a solution for the Safety Recall. What can be done to bring a resolution for this Safety Recall? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2023 | VISIBILITY | The windshield on the Hyundai Palisade presents a safety hazard. The windshield cracks at low impact of a micro-pebble. The windshield could potentially cause a fatality if the car is involved in an accident. The problem has been confirmed by Hyundai but the company is only recalling the Kia Telluride for a defective windshield. The chip in the windshield immediately expands a crack across the driver's view which causes a visibility issue. The cracks cause a blinding reflection from the crack which makes the vehicle inoperable due to the driver's inability to see clearly due to the crack in eyeview. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced the failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | when driving it gives warning Forward collision assistance system disabled. radar Blocked. warning stays for 3 to 5 minutes and goes away. But during that time when car is in cruise it is disabling the cruise mode. I took it dealer and said they need to change the Camera module unit behind the Rear view mirror and replaced it. But after coming out of dealer and driving for few miles again warning popped up and stayed for few mins. I took it back to dealer and this time they said AVN head unit need to be replaced. I informed this to Hyundai as well and they created case with case number: 20602610. This started happening in July 2022 and i was coordinating with dealer to fix this. still the issue is being worked on. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | SEAT BELTS | Multiple seatbelts in the vehicle seem to be latched properly, then while driving, they become unlatched. This occurs often, but is made worse in colder weather. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,BACK OVER PREVENTION | This issue was first noticed on December 13th, 2021, and has been an ongoing frustration. I am constantly getting this error: "Parking Sensor Error or Blockage." Please take a look at the attached picture as a reference. On February 8th, 2022, I brought my Hyundai Palisade to the dealer's service department for them to find out what may be wrong. Their technician notes: "Scan all modules for codes with GDS. No DTC in any module. Drove vehicle testing all front and rear sensors, and all are working as designed." Please see attached PDF of the service department's official printout. But I have had the same repeating issue since, most recently, last week. Something must be wrong with these technicians. Last year I had the front passenger window whistling sound issue, and technicians said after driving the Palisade that nothing was wrong with it and everything was working as designed. Time after, Hyundai issued a recall because of this issue! I don't trust the service department, and driving this car with a faulty sensor is a concern. Please advise, as the warranty period might be almost over, and I don't know what else to try. We barely use this car; while not in use, it's parked inside a garage and, when used, is for road trips. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2022 | WHEELS | 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO STRIPPED LUG NUT SCREWS. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V627000 (Visibility) and 22V633000 (Trailer Hitches) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the tow hitch fuse was removed. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure with the windshield wipers. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 100. Parts distribution disconnect. The contact stated that the trailer hitch issue was resolved. The wiper failure occurs regularly and even during clear, sunny weather conditions. Hyundai states that the wipers are operating at "normal function". | Crash: No Fire: No | 100 |

| Nov 2022 | SUSPENSION | About a year after purchase (new) a loud popping noise emanating from the rear suspension was reported to my Hyundai dealer. At first I was told it was a normal characteristic of the car. After escalating the complaint I was told it had a bad rear shock, which was replaced under warranty but the noise continued. They told me that a Hyundai tech specialist would contact me for resolution. That was 5 months ago. The noise persists. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
