I got off went to ford dealer ! They said probably a sensor can’t look at it for 10 days and yes it is fine to drive . I did not think so ! I brought to my mechanic , replaced AWD module ! Which has been found to be an issue in this vehicle ! I felt unsafe . There have been recalls on this issue ! They say had do be built on a certain date ! Really , not if you keep searching ! It should be covered under drive train. Safety issue ! The lights going off are a distraction in itself . | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Driver side door and power window malfunction | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | Driver door - one day, without prior warning, when opening or closing the door, it makes a popping sound as if a hing of some sort is broken. The door does not remain in an open position when getting in our out. Consequently, the drive window only opens about 2 inches. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The driver's side door made popping or cracking noises when opening and closing. It eventually locked in place while open, and it could not be closed. I took it to the dealer where they initially said that the check strap needed to be replaced. After the part arrived and they disassembled the door, it was discovered that the welds on the component that holds the check strap in place were broken. The car was moved to the body/collision shop for further assessment. In the meantime, I've discovered this has happened with several other 2020 Escapes, but there is no recall as of yet. Obviously, this is a manufacturer defect that needs to be addressed in a more global and urgent manner. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | Drivers door limiter has a broken weld and makes a creaking noise and has caused the window regulator to bind. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | The driver side door hinge came off. I can still open/shut it but the window is now stuck at the halfway point. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | Front drivers side door making a popping sound upon opening and closing a quick google search confirmed there was a issue with the cheap spot welds holding door check bracket on most people are reporting them breaking and window becoming inoperable won’t go up or down and with ford charging 3500 to fix the issue with the same part and only 3 spot welds holding in place as a commercial truck driver seeing car crashes on a daily basis and have seen multiple people have to climb out of the window of the cars, (hello ford) people could very well be trapped inside a vehicle due to cheap manufacturing and you not fixing the issue talked to 2 different ford dealers in my area and both brushed it off like it’s a common thing “todd Judy ford stated we repaired 4 or so in the last month “ called ford directly and the only information they could offer was there is no recall the vehicle my wife drives is a 2020 ford escape with 41000 miles I find it amazing how a structural issue of the door isn’t covered past that point. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | In October of 2022 my welding to my door came apart on the driver door. It started and continues to make a really loud popping noise whenever it’s opened. Since then, my window has not been able to roll down either. When I’m driving the door will open on its own randomly and it’s extremely dangerous. I’ve taken this matter up with ford multiple times and they refuse to address it or fix it without me paying out of pocket. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | Left (driver's) door check arm attachment broke - door will not open/close. Only 17,000 miles on 2020 Ford Escape. This is a known issue; why are there no recalls? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The driver’s side door has started creaking and having difficult shutting as of this afternoon. Looked closer at the door and the door limiting arm/ check arm seems to be defective and causing resistance and the creaking sounds. The spot welds on the door by the arm have completely come apart. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | TEMPORARILY THE BRAKES FAILED TO FUNCTION AND INSPITE OF APPLYING GHTE BRAKES THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. THE WARING LIGHTS CAME ON SUCH AS SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM, HAD TO USE THE HAND BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE, CALLED THE ALRRY MILLER LAKEWOOD FORD DEALERSHIP IN COLORADO AND WAS GIVEN A DATE AFTER 2 MONTHS JUST TO INSPECT. ONCE THE CAR WAS STOPPED AND AFTER TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND WAITED FOR 20 MIN AND AT THAT TIME THE CAR BRAKES WERE WORKING FINE. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | The door started popping every time I opened or closed the door. Then three days later the spot welds near the hinges fell apart and the door wouldn’t close all the way. According to the dealership where I bought it I am like the third or fourth this month to come in with this complaint. Ford’s recommendation is to replace the entire door. It’s like over $2000 repair. it’s a safety issue due to the fact that the door first of all wouldn’t close and the only way to fix it was to drill some screws into the door as a temporary fixed at least get it to the dealership. Ford also told me that only the drivers side door is covered under the warranty to replace the door. The others are not and the chalk it up to “overextending” the door. I also found online that when others have taken a look at the cars the hinge is what is breaking and putting strain on the door and putting the full weight on the actual spot where it connects to the door. A it is not just mine that is doing this a friends Ford TransAm is doing the same thing! I worry that the door will come flying off while driving or I won’t be able to get it closed one day while out and about and I have a newborn right now that is scary! Also I am out of warranty and have to now pay out of pocket to have it fixed! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The front door drivers side is making a cracking popping noise and is not latching. Was never in accident. Dealership says it is unsafe and needs to be replace. Cat is 3 years old and 37,000 miles. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2023 | STRUCTURE | Driver's side door hinge has failed. Makes a cracking noise when opening and closing the door. Vehicle is 3.5 years old and only 46k miles so not covered by warranty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I have been informed that the "door check welds" inside the driver side front door have cracked an separated, that it is not repairable and the door must be replaced. I took the car to the dealer I purchased it from and had it inspected by Ford certified technicians. The vehicle has not, as of this time, been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance company. There were not warning signs until the front door began making and awful noise when opened, I was told by the technicians at the dealership that that was when the welds cracked. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
