| Nov 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The AWD module failed-- it is at the dealer for repair now. Several errors popped-- pre-collision, hill assist, AWD, traction control all turned off The dealer determined the AWD module needed to be replaced. The error codes popped up and I brought it to the dealer within three days. Ford states this part is not covered under the "bumper to bumper" warranty, which expired four months ago. It is not part of the powertrain warranty, which is still active. The same make/model/year produced at the same plant had a Customer Satisfaction Program to replace this part, but it only covered a very small window of dates. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Car died while driving down road due to a defect in the emissions system. Took to garage to tell me it's the evap system. | Nov 2023 | STRUCTURE | Welds that secure the door check arm to the driver side door failed. This makes the door very difficult to both open and close, potentially creating a safety issue. | Nov 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Door would make popping sound when opening and closing front driver side door. Window will roll down slowly and up slowly. | Nov 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The window tent is bubbling and warping down my windows impairing my view of the road, unsure of cause and it is available for inspection. Bubbles are visible the warping is harder to see in a photo, but it runs all the way down the window. It is impairing visibility through passenger and driver windows, causing depth perception issues and a risk to myself and other drivers. The Ford Dealership I recently went to to have other recalls fixed confirmed the issue and told me to file a complaint here. No warning lamps or other symptoms of the problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Additionally, the front driver's side door would inadvertently close while the contact was entering the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the front driver's side door had three fractured spot welds and that the front driver's side door needed to be replaced. Prior to this failure the door would make three loud popping noises with each full opening and full closing of the door. This continued until all three weld points on this dampening devise have completely failed. Now the door is very difficult to open/close. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | My driver side door began making a grinding/creaking noise when opening. It was rather alarming as it was loud and extremly noticibale everytime I would open AND close my door. At one point, I had opened my door while doing errands and I could not actually push the door closed without some physical force. Now the door makes a more hollow creaking sound while closing and opening the door. Recently, my driver side window has since malfunctioned (does not go down). I can push the button for it to go down, but it only moves two inches before it stops completly. I use my vvehcile to communte to and from work and to transport my children to school and back. This safety concern is alarming as the safety of myself is at risk if ever in an accident, potentially not being able to open the door or even the door unlatching while driving at highway speed of 120kms. I have voiced my concerns to my FORD dealership but due to not purchasing extended warranty at time of purchase, It is not covered and recommened to take to an autobody shop for servicing. The technician noted "it can be quiet expensive". There are no warning lights. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2023 | POWER TRAIN,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | My AWD module went out and several features of my vehicle were in-operable. | Oct 2023 | STRUCTURE | The front driver's side door began popping and making a loud noise when opening. The the window stopped going down, and now you can hear air coming in through the door, like it is not shut all the way. I took my car to the dealership and they said this is a known problem with the door hinge welds and that the welds are busted. The recommended repair from Ford is replacement of the door and check arm. However, my car is over 36,000 miles, so out of warranty, and therefore the $1900 repair is my responsibility to pay to fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Check engine light came on Friday and 24 hours later started making a whirring sound lost power on the highway started smoking and smelled like it was going to catch fire. Was impeding traffic and almost caused an accident. Had it towed to Ford dealership where a diagnostic test was run. They determined that it was engine failure and Ecoboost failure. Coolant was leaking into cylinders 2&3. They claim the code fired on September 9. They asked if I had taken it anywhere to clear the code. I most definitely did not. Ford Motor Company is unwilling to make this right and have quoted me almost $9000 to fix this issue. Certain makes and models of 2020 Ford Escape have had engine recalls. This is clearly a malfunction on their part. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | STRUCTURE | Spot welds failed on left side front door check arm. Driver side door was making a loud creaking noise. Window was also affected and could not roll down. Took the car into the dealer thinking this would be covered under the warranty or the extended warranty we purchased when we bought the car new. Dealership discovered the spot welds failed. Was told we've have to replace the door. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
