| Apr 2024 | STRUCTURE | The door hinge limiter bracket on the drivers front door has a broken weld and has becomes detached. This also interferes with the window being able to open and close. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | STRUCTURE | Driver side door makes loud noise when opening and closing. Warning messages: car not in drive or park when in the correct gear; door open; and battery saver on in morning. Driver side power window not working properly. Took to dealer for service on 4/15/25. Was informed there is a door issue not recall and no repairs at this time. Cost: $70 to check door. Have not received any notification from Ford about Customer Satisfaction Program 23B56. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | STRUCTURE | There has been a cracking noise when opening my passenger front door. Heard a POP and notice three small holes on the side of door. I can barely open my door and can’t let down the window. Called ford and of course the famous line, “Since your car is not under warranty, we cannot fix the problem.” Shouldn’t this problem be a recall? I’ve been researching and noticed many Ford Escapes are dealing with the same issue. I feel like I’m driving a Build-A-Car. Come on Ford you have to do better. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | POWER TRAIN,FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | The contact owns a 2020 Ford Escape. The contact stated that on almost a dozen occasions while driving at approximately 60 MPH, multiple unknown warning lights illuminated, and the instrument and head unit panels turned off and on and failed to work as intended. On another occasion, while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle started bucking and lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the AWD module and throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,486. | Crash: No Fire: No | 51,486 |

| Apr 2024 | STRUCTURE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Driver's door when opening would make a clunking sound. After opening it a couple times door would not shut. Finally getting it to shut, the door now will not open all the way. Also since this happening the window on that door will not roll down. Safety issue is that I'm afraid the door won't stay closed or it may fall off. Also the gas cap light is on, always been a problem even when the cap door is completely closed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | STRUCTURE | The driver’s side front door mades a creaking/popping sound when opening, hard to open drivers door due to an issue with the welding First noticed when getting into the car where car was parked | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | I have already put in a complaint about the broken spots welds, I am now adding to that complaint. I had the window fixed but because the door is broken I cannot roll down the window. My door is now not locking so stays open even when engaging the locks. The electrical system is giving me errors telling me that there is no key detected and so the engine won't start right away. The radio screen blacks out and doesn't work right, won't keep my settings anymore. This all has been happening since my door broke. I am sick of this car. Casa Ford says that my door is not covered by my extended warranty, but my window was, which was broken because of the broken spot welds in the door. This makes no sense since I am not able to use the window because of the door being broken. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | POWER TRAIN | All wheel drive control module controls the powertrain but is apparently not covered under powertrain warranty. Very expensive repair on a relatively new vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Additionally, the rearview camera failed to display an image or displayed a distorted image while in operation. The front driver's and passenger's side windows inadvertently rolled down after being rolled up. The dealer confirmed this is an ongoing issue but refused to cover costs to fix it because I am 473 miles out of the 36,000 mileage. No warnings were issued on the car or the ford app. No prior information was provided to me about this issue before it occurred. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |

This happened spontaneously without any warning or other symptoms. This first appeared [XXX]. Once the door is opened, it flies open nearly hitting other cars or people that are nearby if I'm not holding on firmly, and the window does not roll down. I brought this to Superior Ford Collision [XXX] and they confirmed it was a broken spot weld. I contacted Ford and this was no longer under warranty so they will not offer any assistance in replacing the door. I was quoted at $5000-$6000 for a new door by Lucas Stauffacher at Superior Ford Collision.
