| Mar 2024 | AIR BAGS | In April 2023, VW issued a recall on the passenger side airbags. Recall number 69FB for 2018-2020 VW Atlas. It is now coming up on a year since this recall with no remedy in site. I have been trying to trade in or sell my vehicle and being told by multiple dealerships they cannot take the vehicle due to the open recall. Their main reason is due to the fact this recall has no remedy. How long does a manufacturer have to fix open recalls before they have to compensate the customer for their inconvenience. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Dripping water from roof center control and wet on interior when it’s rain. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | AIR BAGS | - The passenger airbag system has a malfunction (recall) that can cause it to go off or not go off when it's supposed to -No one can ride in my front passenger seat and no one has been able to ride in the front passenger seat since 3-29-2023. Almost 1 year. -Yes, the recall has been confirmed and known about for almost a year now. -No, the vehicle manufacturer hasn't even reached out to me. -There were no witnessed malfunctions related to the airbag system. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES | While driving approx 20MPH while turning a corner in a neighborhood, the FAULT BRAKE BOOSTER warning went off and braked my vehicle. The car continued to flash this warning and the brakes were not easily depressed (felt somewhat like when ABS happens in icy roads). This happened multiple times until I could get home.Took the vehicle to VW dealer and they replaced a sensor. 3 weeks later the same warning and braking situation happened while in a parking lot. Returned to dealer and still being evaluated. Online, this is a recall for 2019 Atlas' but not for my VIN. Concerned this should be included in a recall. Worried for my safety as this has happened multiple times including after repair and causes the car brakes to go automatically and unexpectedly. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | AIR BAGS | Unresolved airbag recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | STRUCTURE | Faulty driver door lock actuator / micro switch. Below freezing drivers door (only) freezes. Only way to open door is from inside. Once door open, door latch does not re-engage resulting in you manually having to hold your door close while driving. This has happened multiple times over the years and this past January occurred 4 mornings in a row. No other doors ever impacted other than drivers door. Dealership aware of the issue but cannot replicate as the car warms up in their shop. VW corporate will not authorize any repair unless a fault code active. Despite calling the dealership while the problem is occurring they can not get repair approved since the car was not present at the time the issue was occurring. It is a severe safety issue having to manually hold your door closed while driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2024 | AIR BAGS | It has been over 9 months since VW issued a recall of the front passenger airbag. We were instructed not to use the front passenger seat. With children and sports equipment to haul around it is extremely inconvenient, bordering on making the vehicle obsolete with an inability to use the front passenger seat. We have not heard anything from VW regarding a fix and they have not responded to my attempts to contact them. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2024 | AIR BAGS | I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the current recall on this vehicle. This recall has been a known issue since March 29, 2023 and as of today's date there is no found resolution. The suggestion from VW is that no individual ride in the passenger front seat until the issue is resolved. It is completely unrealistic and unreasonable to ask any individual to abide by this suggestion for this long of a time period. I am unable to use my vehicle to travel anywhere with the whole family unless they all sit in the back. VW needs to come up with a solution for fixing the recall immediately. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
