I WAS TOLD THAT IT LOOKS LIKE AIR FRESHNER GOT ON IT AND CAUSED IT TO MELT AND ITS NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY. SO I REPLIED I DO NOT KEEP AIR FRESHNER IN THAT VENT I KEEP THEM IN MY SIDE VENTS SO THATS NOT POSSIBLE. THEN I CALLE D TOYOTA CORPORATE OFFIC AND I WAS TOLD THEY CAN NOT COVER IT BECAUSE ITS NOT AND MANUFACTURE ERROR AND IT WOULD CAUSE ME $7000 TO REPLACE. I ALSO HAVE FELT WHAT OTHER CAMRY USERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE LACK OF ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVING THE CAR. WE DID NOT COLLIDE WITH ANY OTHER CARS BECAUSE MOST WERE OFF THE STREET. IT WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. FORTUNATELY, WE COULD HAVE BEEN SEVERELY INJURED OR WORSE. THIS TOOK PLACE ON A CITY STREET. THE HILL IS VERY WALKABLE. THE FACT THAT THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WITH THE GAS PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED IS ALARMING FOR A NEW CAR WITH LESS THAN 4 MONTHS OF USE. THE BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP THE CAR FROM ROLLING BACKWARD WHILE THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN DRIVE. ONCE THE CAR STOPPED, IT SHOWED A CAR FAILURE NOTICE.
