AS I SEE IT, AROUND THE CRACK THERE ARE NO CRACKS, DINGS, CHIPS, OR ANY MARKS. THE LOOK OF THE CRACK DOESN'T RESEMBLE DIFFERENT SHATTER. MY CAR IS A 2019 VEHICLE THAT ONLY HAS ABOUT 10,000 MILES SO QUITE NEW.

THIS MORNING AS WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WITH NO OTHER TRAFFIC MY WIFE NOTICED A CRACK FORMING AND GROWING UP FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE. THE CRACK IS NOW 17" LONG

Feb 2020 VISIBILITY/WIPER WINDSHIELD IS TOO SOFT AS I TWO PLACES THAT HAVE CRACKED AND ONE THAT CHIPPED. THE ITEMS THAT HIT THE WINDSHIELD WERE SMALL AND SHOULDN'T HAVE CAUSED THE DAMAGE THEY DID. I'VE HAD OTHER VEHICLES THAT WERE HIT BY MUCH BIGGER DEBRIS AND NO DAMAGE. WINDSHIELD IS SUBSTANDARD. ALL DAMAGE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. Feb 2020 VISIBILITY/WIPER I BOUGHT MY OUTBACK NEW AT THE END OF AUGUST 2019 AND SINCE THEN THE WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED 3 TIMES AND I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IT ALL 3 TIMES. I WAS DRIVING ALL 3 TIMES. TWICE I BELIEVE A PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD BUT THE THIRD TIME NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD. LUCKILY WHEN I BOUT IT THE SALESMAN SUGGESTED I GET THE EXTENDED WINDSHIELD INSURANCE. NOW I KNOW WHY. THERE IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE WINDSHIELDS, THEY ARE DANGEROUS.

Feb 2020 SERVICE BRAKES ON THE EVENING OF DECEMBER 23, 2019 I HIT A DEER GOING APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES/HOUR. THE DEER DARTED OUT IN FRONT OF. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS. HOWEVER, THE AUTO-BRAKING FUNCTION ON THE CAR INITIATED. THE COLLISION DID DAMAGE TO THE FRONT GRILL AREA AND RIGHT FRONT QUARTER PANEL. THE AIR BAGS (DRIVER'S AND SIDE CURTAINS) DEPLOYED. AFTER THE COLLISION AND INITIAL AUTO-BRAKING, I LOST ALL ABILITY TO BRAKE USING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CAR CONTINUED FOR APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER QUARTER MILE BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. BEFORE THE CAR CAME TO A STOP, I JUMPED/ROLLED OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE I WASN'T SURE IF THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. THE WHITE DUST AND SMELL (FROM AIR BAGS) HAD ME CONCERNED. MY MAJOR CONCERN NOW IS THAT I LOST NORMAL BRAKING ABILITY. THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED AT. THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE REPORT NUMBER IS PA 2019-1706182. INSURANCE COVERAGE WAS BY NATIONWIDE. Jan 2020 VISIBILITY/WIPER I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED ON THE BOTTOM LEFT OR DRIVERS SIDE. THERE WAS NO IMPACT ON THE WINDSHIELD OF ANY KIND. NO TRAFFIC AND SMOOTH HIGHWAY. TEMP WAS AROUND 66 DEGREES. STARTED OUT AS A 5 INCH CRACK FROM THE BOTTOM UP AND HAD A VERY SMALL DIVOT. THEN SPREAD TO A 10 INCH CRACK VERY QUICKLY. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID CRACK WAS CAUSED BY OUTSIDE FORCE DUE TO THE TINY DIVOT. THEY SAY THE ONLY WAY FOR A DIVOT IS IMPACT WITH A OUTSIDE FORCE. THAT IS NOT A TRUE STATEMENT. A SMALL DIVOT CAN OCCUR FROM A STRESS CRACK OF FROM SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKING. THE EYESIGHT TECHNOLOGY DOES NOT WORK WITH ANY OTHER WINDSHIELD, YOU MUST BUY THE FACTORY WINDSHIELD. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR WITH A SUBPAR WINDSHIELD. PLEASE HELP IN THIS VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BEING IGNORED BY SUBARU. I HAVE ZERO CONFIDENCE IN THE NEW WINDSHIELD. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

EACH TIME DAMAGE APPEARS TO START NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS, THEN SPIDERS OUT. IT IS NOT CLEAR THAT ROAD DEBRIS OR ANY OTHER EXTERNAL FORCE CAUSED THE CRACKING. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY SUBARU WITH A RE-DESIGNED PART. SENDING THE SAME WINDSHIELD OVER AND OVER DOES NOT FIX THE INHERENT PROBLEM. YOUR FORM DOES NOT ALLOW FOR MULTIPLE INCIDENCES OF THE SAME PROBLEM OVER TIME. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS. ARE YOU WORKING WITH SUBARU TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?

WINDSHIELD WAS FROSTED IN AM, STARTED MOTOR AND DEFROSTERS TO WARM AND PREPARE CAR FOR DEPARTURE. WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY. MADE APPT. WITH SUBARU, THEY DECLINED RESPONSIBILITY UNDER WARRANTY AND ADVISED TO HAVE INSURANCE REPLACE IT. WHILE WAITING FOR SECOND APPT. WITH A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP A SMALL PEBBLE IMPACTED UPPER RIGHT CORNER SO I JUST HAD INSURANCE COVER IT AS IT WAS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH AT THIS POINT. (3/27/19 INSURANCE REPLACEMENT WITH ORIG. SUBARU WINDSHIELD- $500 DEDUCTIBLE, $225 EYESIGHT RECALIBRATION). 2ND BREAK: 6-'19: WHILE DRIVING 50MPH ON 2 LANE ROAD A GRAVEL TRUCK PASSING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION DROPPED A VERY SMALL PEBBLE THAT WOULD HAVE NOT BROKE WINDSHIELD ON MY TOYOTA OR MAZDA BASED ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS. SMALL PEBBLE IMPACTED WINDSHIELD IN UPPER LEFT CORNER AND IMMEDIATELY SPREAD ACROSS AND DOWN IN SEVERAL SPOTS REQUIRING REPLACEMENT (6/10/19 REPLACEMENT UNDER 20/20 GLASS WARRANTY). REQUIRED ADDITIONAL 3RD REPLACEMENT AS SUBARU SUPPLIED DEFECTIVE RUBBER STRIPPING FOR SECOND REPLACEMENT. NOW WINDSHIELD AREA CREATES ADDITIONAL WIND/ROAD NOISE AND NEW RATTLE IN DASH AS RESULT OF 3 REPLACEMENTS. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE WINDSHIELD FIRST BREAK HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT UPLOAD. CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED THEM. THEY SHOW THE 'BURN MARKS' AT THE HEATER ELEMENTS.

WITHIN ONE WEEK OWNERS NOTICED SEAT ISSUE AND CONTACTED DEALER IMMEDIATELY. DRIVER SEAT SLOPE ISSUE: DRIVER SEAT BASE SLOPES FROM LEFT DOWN TO RIGHT APPROX. 3/4"-1". PROBLEM NOTICED IN FIRST MONTH AFTER DELIVERY AND SUBARU WAS NOTIFIED. AREA DEALERS, SUBARU CORPORATE AND FACTORY FIELD ENGINEER (FFE) REFUSE TO PROPERLY CONFRONT/ DIAGNOSE/ REPAIR THE ISSUE. OWNER SHOWED SERVICE TECHNICIANS AND MANAGER AT DEALER USING A 1 FT' BUBBLE LEVEL THAT THE ISSUE IS EVIDENT. ALL SERVICE PERSONNEL HAVE ADMITTED TO OWNER THAT THEY SEE THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THOSE FACTS IN THEIR SERVICE INVOICE STATEMENTS. SEAT SLOPE ISSUE CREATES AN UNSAFE DRIVING ENVIRONMENT AS THE DRIVER HAS TO PUSH OFF OF CENTER CONSOLE WHILE LEFT HAND CORNERING AND LONG DISTANCE DRIVING IS NOT PERMISSIBLE AS IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE UNLESS DRIVER USES A TOWEL OR PILLOW TO LEVEL THE SEAT BASE. NORMAL OPERATION INVOLVES DRIVE RESTING ELBO FIRMLY INTO CENTER CONSOLE TO STAY UPRIGHT. OWNERS ARE CONCERNED DUE TO DRIVER ERGONOMICS AND ABILITY OF SAFETY RESTRAINS/AIRBAGS TO PERFORM AS DESIGNED IF IN ANY TYPE OF COLLISION IF THE DRIVER IS NOT CENTERED OR POSITIONED PROPERLY IN THE CAR AS DESIGNED AND TESTED FOR IMPACTS. SUBARU CORP. SR. REP. SAYS SUBARU HAS NO PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS OR MEASUREMENTS FOR SUBARU SEATS FOR FFE TO COMPARE SEAT CONSTRUCTION/INSTALL OF MY VEHICLE TO. THE FFE PERFORMED CORPORATE/CUSTOMER INSPECTION USING A CELL PHONE IN A LEATHER CELL PHONE WALLET AND A BUBBLE LEVEL APPLICATION AS HIS REFERENCE FOR DENIAL OF CLAIM. I HAVE PICTURES OF PERSONAL INSPECTION WITH LEVELS AND MEASUREMENTS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

THE CRACK COMPROMISES SUBARU'S EYE-SIGHT SAFETY FEATURE AS WELL AS THE INTEGRITY OF THE WINDSHIELD IN GENERAL, CREATING A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD FOR THE VEHICLE OCCUPANT(S). I HAVE FILED A CLAIM WITH AAA PENDING SERVICE WITH SUBARU WHICH IS SCHEDULED ON 01/13/20 (ATTACHED CONFIRMATION FROM AAA)
