May 2026 ENGINE My 2019 Ram 1500 equipped with the eTorque system experienced a sudden failure involving the eTorque/hybrid system at approximately 88,000 miles. The failure caused the vehicle to become disabled and left my [XXX] daughter and me stranded on a busy roadway, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle required towing and diagnosis by an authorized Ram dealership. I was informed that the failure involved the eTorque system/components and was required to pay approximately $3,298 for repairs. After researching the issue, I discovered numerous similar complaints involving Ram 1500 eTorque system failures, including reports of sudden shutdowns, loss of power, and expensive repairs. There are also pending lawsuits and NHTSA investigations involving these systems. I believe this represents a widespread safety-related defect involving the Ram eTorque system and request that NHTSA investigate these failures further. Please see attached document for further information. That letter was submitted to Ram for reimbursement purposes. Thank you! May 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Whenever I refuel my truck the pressure in the fuel tank causes fuel to spit out of the fill neck. It is a common, known, issue among RAM trucks involving the fuel line. It takes me 20 to fill the tank up because of this issue, and I’m constantly having the fuel spitting out at me and the ground. This is a safety/fire hazard that needs to be addressed by RAM. Apparently the only fix is to replace the entire tank which is costly and frustrating. RAM acknowledges this yet they won’t fix the issue, and requires the owners to pay out of pocket to fix this. Being a safety hazard they should be on the hook for the cost. Thought it was a minor issue for a while that would only happen on occasion , but now it’s happening every time I try to fill. That’s when I did the research and found this is a normal issue. The dealer wants to charge me just for them to diagnose the issue before they will repair it.

May 2026 WHEELS,SERVICE BRAKES Initially while taking a corner at low speed the truck made a clunk and grinding noise which resolved and then while going about 50 mph the grinding noise recurred which prompted stopping the vehicle on the side of the road and when almost to a stop, the wheels locked up causing a slight skid; the vehicle was in 4-wheel auto at the time and with change between 4wd and 2wd serveral times the front tires unlocked and i was able to drive it again. About 4 days later, while driving 70 mph, the vehicle started to make a grinding noise on the interstate, and I started to slow down, but unfortunately, I was on the left side of the highway on a narrow shoulder, and upon getting to a lower speed while in 2WD, my front axle locked up. I placed the vehicle in park, but due to safety concerns, I put the truck back in drive and tried to switch from 2WD to 4WD to unlock the axle, but unfortunately, the truck would not change gears. I then had to quickly get the vehicle to the other side during a time with fewer vehicles, while the left front tire was locked, and I had to drag it across the highway to ensure my safety. The left front tire remained locked, and after multiple attempts, the brake partially unlocked but continued to make a grinding and clunking noise. After some diagnostics, we determined the left front wheel hub was the issue, overheating and locking up. I reached out to mechanics for quotes on repair of said part, and upon reaching out to the dealer that I have used in the past for recalls and oil changes, I was informed there was a recall on said part/software that I was not aware of; the service rep used the last 8 of my VIN to look up my vehicle for the quote and provided the details about the recall. I use the RAM Guardian App which provides updates about recalls and upon checking it does not show a recall nor does it show a recall when i search my VIN and License Plate on the website. This seems to be a common issue based on customer reviews.

May 2026 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES My 2019 Ram 1500 has had a failed ABS control module for several months, which disables critical safety features including ABS, traction control, and cruise control. While entering the interstate on an on-ramp during light rain and under normal driving conditions, the loss of traction control contributed to a sudden loss of stability, causing the rear of the truck to break loose and the vehicle to spin. No other vehicles were involved, but the situation created a serious safety hazard and could have resulted in a crash. The vehicle continues to operate without these safety systems, significantly impairing safe handling and braking. I have been informed that the required replacement module is on extended backorder with no estimated availability, leaving the vehicle in an unsafe condition for an extended period of time.

Apr 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I am currently continuing to make monthly payments of $735 on this vehicle while it remains inoperable due to a manufacturer parts backorder. Since 04/01/2026, I have not had use of the vehicle, yet I remain financially responsible for it without a clear timeline for repair completion or alternative support. My vehicle has been inoperable since 04/01/2026 due to failure of a hybrid battery system. The required replacement part is on indefinite backorder with no estimated availability date provided by the manufacturer or dealer. Despite multiple escalation attempts through Ram Customer Care and assigned case management, there is no confirmed timeline for repair completion. The vehicle remains unusable while payments continue. This raises concern regarding manufacturer parts availability for essential hybrid system components and prolonged vehicle downtime without resolution. Apr 2026 SERVICE BRAKES I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall repair on my 2019 Ram 1500 (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership for a safety recall related to the ABS system. At the time of the initial visit, there were no warning lights or system faults present. After the recall repair was performed, multiple warning lights and system errors appeared that were not present prior to service. The vehicle has since been returned to the dealership on three separate occasions, and the issue remains unresolved. The dealership has now indicated a potential wiring harness issue but claims this is not related to the recall. They have requested approximately $1,200 for further diagnostic work, which we declined. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has stated that the recall for this VIN is closed and has declined to intervene, characterizing the situation as a dispute between the customer and dealership. As a result of these unresolved issues: * The vehicle cannot pass inspection in Texas * The vehicle cannot be registered or legally operated * Warning lights related to safety systems remain active We believe this represents either an incomplete recall repair or a condition introduced during the recall service process. We are requesting that this matter be reviewed as a failed recall remedy, as the safety issue has not been properly resolved and the vehicle remains in a compromised condition. Supporting documentation, including service invoices from all visits, is available upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Apr 2026 STRUCTURE:BODY Manufacturing defect in the rear window frame (Backlite) causing severe water intrusion. Water is pooling directly onto the RF Hub (Radio Frequency Hub) electrical module and wiring harness. This creates a high risk of unintended vehicle shutdown while driving or a total electrical short-circuit/fire. This is a known issue documented in TSB 23-016-21 and Warranty Bulletin D-23-17, yet the manufacturer is refusing to honor the 8-year warranty extension for my specific VIN despite the safety risk.

Apr 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Intermittent total electrical communication failure ('No Bus' error) triggered by warm weather. While driving at any speed, the instrument cluster gauges drop to zero and the vehicle loses all control of turn signals, hazards, cruise control, and windshield wipers. This has created several near-miss situations in traffic and rain. The failure also prevents the vehicle from starting. Despite multiple dealership visits and an open Star Case, the manufacturer has failed to provide a remedy for this safety-critical defect.

Apr 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On March, while I was leaving to take my children to school, I discovered a loud, heavy metallic knocking sound coming from the engine of my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. As I depressed the gas pedal, the knocking frequency increased immediately with the engine RPMs. Prior to this total failure, I had noticed the truck feeling hesitant and "stuttering" when I was trying to accelerate from red lights in the days leading up to the incident. Because I was concerned the engine would stall or fail completely while my children were in the vehicle, I immediately stopped driving it. A subsequent inspection at Don White’s CDJR confirmed DTC P051B-00 (Crankcase Pressure Sensor Performance). This fault is a recognized indicator of excessive crankcase pressure, which NHTSA has identified as a precursor to sudden engine stalling and fire risks in 3.0L EcoDiesel engines (Ref: Recall 19V-757).

Apr 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Third Brake light (pulse brake light) causes interior leaks causing damage to electrical, interior rust on seats, water damage, headliner staining. This is a common issue. Larson Dodge in Puyallup stated they see approximately three Rams in weekly for this issue including my vehicle 1500. Dodge should do a recall to replace light and repair all damage caused by water damage.

Apr 2026 STEERING While driving, the steering gets really tight, feeling like the power steering is going to fail. Sometimes it is much worse than others. It is intermittent. No warning lights and no messages at all. We called V & H for service, they'd fix it but wouldn't look into the recall for other 2019 1500 Ram trucks. Our vehicle does not have the recall, but we would like to see about expanding the recall for us to be included or even have Chrysler help with the cost of the repair since it was a known issue with the 2019 1500 Ram trucks.

Apr 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Went to do the 10000 mile maintenance, after the oil change and changing all the filters. The truck wouldn’t start, had a mechanic look at it and he said it’s a faulty fuel pump. Called the dealership as there is a recall for that part and it was serviced less than two years ago. So it’s covered under that and the recall warranty. The dealership is refusing to fix the truck, Chrysler customer care in Canada says it’s the U.S. office’s problem and they have to do it. U.S. office says I have to find a broker to switch the marketplace to the U.S.. Have called 40 places and no one including the dealerships knows what they are talking about with the broker. So now I have a truck I’ve owned for less than six months that needs possibly a 3000 dollar repair. That they should be doing free of charge.

Mar 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE RF Module lost connection to CAN Bus and caused the vehicle to shutoff while driving. Symptoms include messages about key fob not within range and TPMS not able to communicate with sensors. RF Module was replaced however the issue returned. Other symptoms include parasitic draw caused by RF Module that in turn causes the system to report low voltage while driving. Vehicle has left me stranded on more than one occasion due to RF Module failures. These situations where preceded by no starts and shifter errors. Most of these issues can temporarily be resolved by disconnecting the main battery for extended periods. Dealer or service center has not reproduced the issue. Dealership inspected the RF module during installion of a new RF module after a water leak. The issue first appeared after the dealership repaired the "backlite" window, which was leaking on to the RF module. I suspect this might be related to system updates installed during the window installation service call. All of this started in early 2024.

Mar 2026 POWER TRAIN Transmission won't go into reverse at times, auto shifting back to park before check engine light comes on. Vehicle initially started with hard shifts at low speeds about 25 mph. Issue progressed to the point where vehicle has to be put into reverse. Otherwise vehicle would not shift at the same point about 25 mph and would be stuck in the low gear until vehicle is shut off and restarted then put into reverse before proceeding. The issue has continued to grow where shifting into reverse causes the vehicle to noticeably lurch back with a very heavy thunk before putting it into drive. Reverse takes time engaging. However the issue will persist and it will not go into reverse before Auto shifting to park and the check engine light comes on. Vehicle would drive for a little while before the transmission would stop shifting and go into limp mode where I wouldn't be able to drive over 30 miles per hour without very high RPMs. During some of those times the vehicle would take a long time before the transmission would engage and shift which would cause the vehicle to jerk abruptly forward. And at times back tires have lost traction. Recently the vehicles transmission has disengaged entirely while driving. At times it'll be 40 mph where it will disengage or in one case about 15 mph as I was making a turn and in the intersection it disengaged. First time the vehicle went to a dealership. They were unable to replicate the problem and that was approximately 30,000 mi on the odometer. The second time it went in with the issue it was diagnosed as being a service bulletin which was then updated and issue remained. The third time it was brought in there was a code that showed that the clutch gear ratio was incorrect. Mechanics have said the vehicle needs a new transmission and this has been a known issue with the 8-speed 8 HP75 by ZF transmissions. Transmission has also surged and lunged while braking at various points. While completely stopped, vehicle has lurched forward.
