| Feb 2024 | POWER TRAIN | I have a 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU, which currently has a recall out because the clutch pressure plates are apparently bad. I realized today that the symptoms of that recall are EXACTLY what I have been experiencing for several months now. I went to the local Jeep dealer (Wallace Jeep in Stuart, FL) and they said there was nothing they could do because Jeep has not put out parts to remedy the recall yet (even though it's been about a year). They confirmed that clutches have been a problem and it is a serious issue, but I would have to continue to drive it until Jeep put out parts. This is extremely unsafe and the fact that they know how unsafe it is and are still telling customers to drive it until they get the parts figured out is ridiculous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN | I bought this 2019 jeep wrangler and it is still under manufacturer warranty on the transmission and the steering damper . The transmission in my car was leaking bad and I took it to the jeep dealership and they did not know what was wrong or how to fix it . They are all incompetent and stupid and unprofessional and know nothing about cars also the recall on the steering damper was done 2 years ago and now I had to replace it because the car was dangerously shaking very bad . The transmission is still under manufacturer warranty and I took it to another shop and he fixed the leak in the transmission and he said it’s it’s the cooler line connector in the transmission so this repair that cost me 478 dollars should be refunded to me from Jeep manufacturer since it’s still under warranty | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | When driving at speeds of approximately 45+ the front end for no apparent reason begins to violently shake back & forth making the vehicle impossible to control. You must immediately put on the brakes to slow the vehicle until the wobbling stops. This has progressively gotten worse. It’s what is referred to as the Jeep death wobble. It is in the shop now waiting to be looked at. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER | The passenger side Sun visor has broken off up inside the ceiling where it’s hinged so now it just drops down. It’s the same issue all the Jeep visors have. Jeep isn’t correcting the defect. They just keep putting the same problem out for the consumer to deal with over & over again & they’re being allowed to do that!!! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | STRUCTURE | Issues with corrosion around door and hood hinges which risk weakening the structural strength of these panels. This issue is caused by the manufacturing process of using dissimilar metals and is a well documented issue with these vehicles | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN | A safety Recall of the Clutch assembly was put out in February of 2023. No dealerships in a 50mile radius of my location had the parts available to perform the necessary corrective repair and vehicle update at that time. I was told I would be notified of parts availability. It is already 2024 and 11 months later and my vehicle is still at risk of catching on fire and there is still no available parts for performing the repair. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Dec 2023 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The board computer started to mention „service shifter“ when I was driving. Then the engine switched in neutral when I was still driving, telling a problem about the shifter. Later other systems failed, for example the servo for the steering, ehat has been very dangerous, as the steering wheel did not react anymore and I had to do a emergency break. Also, the engine could not be stopped. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving with the sun visor down it became detached from the hinge and swung and hit my face causing distracted driving. It continues to hang due to the defect and is obstructing vision of the windshield for safe driving. The vehicle is available for inspection if requested. This is a safety hazard and an obvious defect with the part mounting the visor to the vehicle. I called the dealership and they confirmed this was a known issue with newer Jeep Wranglers and that the entire visor could be replaced for several hundred dollars at my expense. The visor itself is not the issue, it is how it is secured to the vehicle that is the problem. It appears as though it has detached itself from whatever was securing it safely to the vehicle. There were no warning signs or any issue with the visor prior to it releasing itself and swinging freely causing distraction to driving and possibly bodily injury. When spoken to, the dealership confirmed this is a known issue with the way the newer visors are designed in new Jeep Wranglers. Upon conducting online research, this issue is common and others are experiencing it as well. In a potential accident or general driving this visor could detach itself and be propelled possibly injuring the driver and passengers. This safety related defect needs to be recalled and fixed immediately and not at the owners expense. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Nov 2023 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was hesitating while depressing the accelerator pedal. | Nov 2023 | STEERING | The steering wheel locks up in which it makes it very hard to turn. This usually happens when the vehicle has been sitting for hours and then is driven. Also the weather is usually cold when this happens. Initial driving is hard and it continues for a few minutes. When driving around a roundabout the wheel almost did not straighten out and I would have been going into the curb. This is a dangerous situation in which it has occurred on a regular straight road. The incident occurs at any speed. After putting the vehicle in drive, it is hard to maneuver at the start of being in a parking position. There are no warning lights or error codes that reflect an issue. The dealership has checked it out twice and cannot reproduce the issue. I stated 11/4/23 as the date of occurrence but it has happened many times since late 2022. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | Driving 60+ miles you hit a bump and the truck starts shaking real bad the whole truck That the only way to make the vehicle stop from shaking is slowing down the speed to 30 mph or complete stop until it goes away the terrible shaking. I already reemplace many suspension parts like the track bar,tie rod and the drag link and still having that issue | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN | My 2019 jeep wrangler steering wheel starts to vibrate then shake and then the car shakes while I am driving on the highway. It happened 4 times in the last week. One time last week , 2 times last night and once tonight while driving on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | POWER TRAIN | Clutch failed for the 3rd time, there is another open recall for the clutch that states the pressure plate can fracture and damage the clutch. in 4 years the vehicle has had 3 clutches replaced, 2 of the 3 i was made to pay for and Jeep is refusing to reimburse. While driving 70 on a highway, there was a burning smell that started, when pulling over, there was a loud bang and the vehicle began to shake. Pulled over, had son in car, we both got out because of the smell of smoke and fear the vehicle was on fire. Previous recalls updated software to give a warning when the clutch was hot. There where NO warning lights that went off as stated for a hot clutch. The clutch pressure plate had fractured and pieces were projected out of the clutch and blew a hole in the transmission. The damage required a new clutch assembly and a new transmission. Jeep refused to pay for the damaged clutch, it was $3600, but replaced the transmission. There have now been 7 recalls in 4 years. There have been 3 new clutches in the vehicle, each time the Jeep was in for repairs for 3 to 4 weeks at a time. Sometimes parts took over a week to be delivered. Dealerships never have courtesy vehicles and i have had to make due myself each time, over a month once. It has cost me over $7000 and there is no fix in site, estimated for early to mid 2024. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2023 | POWER TRAIN | NHTSA Recall Number 23V-116 was created in March, 2023, and still the manufacturer offers no remedy. How long do they get to remedy the recall issue, and if they don't by that date what recourse does an owner have? Thank you! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We started experiencing a problem with our clutch on our manual transmission 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport in December 2022. It felt like it would slip out of gear on its own, sounded like when someone first learns how to drive a manual and grinds the clutch. The dealer couldn't figure it out. Kept getting worse. Multiple trips back to the dealer. Mind you at the time this car was 3 1/2 years old and only had about 40,000 miles. Finally we found out there was a recall in February 2023, and the dealer told us there were no parts or no solution yet. This car is my wife's daily driver. I called the dealer back a couple months later, no update yet, Jeep "was working on it", hoped remedy would be available by end of June. Kept calling back every month or two, same story. I drove the car for the first time in a while in July and realized it was not safe to drive. Constantly slipping out of gear, couldn't get it going fast enough. Decided to read the recall again and realized it said it was a fire hazard. My dealer called and was told still no remedy, now they tell him hopefully end of Q3, so I asked the service manager to please get me into a loaner on Jeep. They did this. This is almost 2 months later, still no remedy. It's fantastic how Jeep can spend millions on fancy advertisements with Derek Jeter, yet because the people who own clutch vehicles are such a small percentage it seems our safety is not a priority. I can't believe a major car manufacturer has taken over 7 months knowing there is a safety issue and still no remedy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I got letter from MOPAR back in February 2023 stating there could be a problem with my Jeep. At the time there was not problem. A week and a half ago around Aug. 23, 2023 my jeep started smelling hot while driving and there is a rattle between 3rd and 4th gear. My jeep is a manual transmission. I took it to LaFontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Clinton, 1111 W Michigan Ave, Clinton, MI 49236; [XXX] . They told me it would be $1100 to just look at my Jeep and diagnose it, after confirming it was the clutch that is the problem. They proceeded to tell me it would be $3600 to repair the clutch. They never told me there was an open recall on my Jeep. I remembered getting the letter in the mail from Mopar so I found it. The recall was indeed for the clutch. The dealership never even mentioned the recall. They just wanted me to pay for the clutch. I called them back and asked them why they didn't tell me about the recall. They told me that it wasn't a "real" recall yet. I told them I looked it up on their website and it said it was. He told me since there is no remedy I just have to pay to have it fixed. He offered no other alternative so I am without a vehicle. I called Mopar to try to complain but they said they have nothing to do with dealerships but gave me a case number # [XXX] and said they had no idea when the remedy would be available and that there was nothing they could do. I told them I was without a vehicle and they told me to take my Jeep to another dealership. I asked them if that would change the outcome and they said no but maybe they would say it wasn't the clutch. I am already out $300 from having this dealership. Please help me. I am getting no help and I am without a vehicle. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
