Aug 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Recall notice received May 2024 for a faulty fuel pump. As of Aug 26, dealer continues to claim they can not get the parts necessary to fix. They tell me the failure risk is low and I should not worry about it. Those words ring hollow when you are telling me their is a risk of a crash and injury. Why is this acceptable.

Aug 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION Overblown colorful backup camera image. Backup camera stopped working properly on 2019 Honda Pilot Elite SUV. Image has very bright red yellow and purple colors (like night vision) and the rear image is no longer legible. This is now a safety hazard as the driver is unable to view people, vehicles, and other obstructions while backing up the SUV. Need Honda to cover the repair and replacement of the backup camera under warranty. This appears to be a widespread issue for 2019 models that Honda dealers are not covering free of charge based on forum threads: [XXX] Please investigate immediately and have Honda cover this as a recall before this becomes a widespread issue affecting thousands of cars with non-functional backup cameras. Aug 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM My back up camera has an issue where it is showing a green and purple tint that is distorting the view. It functions every time I put the car in reverse, but I can barely see what is on the screen because of the colors. I almost hit a person because I could not see her in the back up camera. I also have been unable to use it to attach my trailer because the view is so distorted. I have researched it and many other people have experienced this exact same issue with 2019 Pilots. This needs to be a safety recall as the camera is failing and needs to be replaced.

Aug 2024 POWER TRAIN I brought my 2019 Honda Pilot to Son's Honda in McDonough, GA, for a service diagnosis as my vehicle is not mechanically running smoothly, sputtering. I called Honda dealership knowing there's a current recall for fuel pump motor it thought this might be the problem. Honda asked me if my vehicle engine light was on and after answering "no" was advised that it wasn't available for for replacement at this time due to having limited parts and servicing only vehicles with engine light on or difficulty starting. I advised my vehicle was demonstrating a lack of power, judger and was advised to bring it in for a diagnosis. Charge amount of $159.00. Upon completion of the diagnosis from Honda it was recommended to have the "Torque converter " replaced at a estimated price of $4,700.00. Upon speaking with the Honda service department manager he suggested I contacted Honda corporate as they have seen this similar issue before and they usually granted financial assistance up to 85% off the repair costs. I contacted Honda Pilot customer service and was assigned case # [XXX]. I was interviewed several times, advised that Honda will review my qualifications based on multiple factors like brand loyalty, years of ownership, service, other related associations with Honda. I advised that this is my second Honda Pilot, my first one I owned from 2007 to 2020 and my second Honda Pilot from 2020 to the present. It's important to know that besides the current recall for fuel pump motor, Honda has a current recall for 2016-2018 Honda vehicles for "Torque converter " issues or have extended warranty to 150,000 for some model vehicles up to 2019. This information comes from Brad Ortloff, manager of Auto campaigns and recalls. Subject line : Warranty Extension:2017- 2019 Multi Model 6AT Torque Converter, to all Honda Sales, Service & Parts manager's and personnel. This is clearly evidence Honda is fully aware of this defective Torque converter problem. Unfortunately, Honda denied my claim. Jul 2024 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM NHTSA Recall Number 23V-858: I have contacted my local Honda dealer multiple times to fix vehicle per the recall and have been told that Honda has provided no parts to fix the vehicle, even after my vehicle began experiencing problems. Recently, while operating my vehicle, it hesitated (i.e. almost stalled out) and then surged forward, which caused me to get into a collision and sustain injuries. After the collision, I contacted the Honda manufacturer using the customer service number on the recall notice and informed them of the collision. They denied that the issue my vehicle was experiencing was related to recall even though a Honda website states that the fuel pump issue will cause the same issues that I experienced. The Honda manufacturer customer service rep. stated that Honda has parts to fix the recall and the dealer should have asked to receive a part. When I contacted the dealer and informed them of the Honda manufacturer customer service rep. statements, the service manager and my local dealer became upset and frustrated as he informed me that they have been trying to get parts for months. The Honda manufacturer does not appear to care for the safety of the individuals using their products, nor the for the individuals that may also be injured based upon these unsafe vehicles still being on the road. In additions, the Honda manufacturer is providing intentionally misleading statements to consumers related to the recall. Their actions are unacceptable and they should be held accountable.
