| May 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | On numerous occasions while driving, once you hit the gas to either pass someone on the interstate or pull out on a road, you lose drive power. It is like trying to drive while in neutral. I know there is a recall on this van and I went down to Hilton Head Honda today with my recall notice to have it replaced to avoid my wife having an accident due to this recall issue. Instead of replacing the part they are charging me $175.00 to clean the throttle due to sticking! This is ridiculous considering it isn't the issue. They are refusing to replace the fuel pump that Honda has deemed defective! The description on the recall is EXACTLY what we are experiencing and have been experiencing for the last 3 months! Having to spend money on a mute issue instead of doing what Honda is requiring is unacceptable and illegal! I am happy to fix any issue once they replace the faulty fuel pump. The bait and switch method may have worked for other owners but not for me! I would like them to do the right thing and fix it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| May 2024 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | We were out side. My engine wouldn’t start and fuel pump and battery lights lit up on desk board. I asked for help and was able to jumpstart the car- I started driving with my kids in car seats and on freeway 7-8 minutes after starting car it went to Neutral while driving its own. And speed went down its own to 20 MPh from 60 on freeway. Was able to mange to mange to take nearest exit and go to nearest open parking lot. Where was not able to shut down the car or put it in the park. I called my insurance to tow my car. And also called family member. Who came and after locking and unlocking they were able to turn off the car. And also start the car. So stared car again this time it shows only “ engine light on and emission issues “ no battery sign. and and in 3 mins in the driving again went to Neutral again. Again we had to find emergency parking lot. Turned off the car and turned on again. And then drove to home with 20 MPH. As soon as speed goes up it goes to neutral. I tried to drive to Bell Honda dealer to drop off my car and again went to neutral so had to towed my car to them. I have asked them to help me with recall issues but they said they don’t have any parts yet from Honda itself and will be available in August or September . I am really concerned with my experience that I had with my kids in car seats on freeway. And seems like I’m not getting any help to get it repair. Also thinking that this might be battery issue but I have replaced my battery in 2020 and again in September 2022 and Honda dealer said we have to change the battery again. I am really concerned that with barely 40k miles on my car - new model 2019 and in 5 yrs this is the 3rd time battery replacement required. And the fuel recall they are not able to fix given Honda is not able to provide the part. Please help | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | ENGINE | Around November 2023 I took my 2019 Honda Odyssey to Glockner Honda in Portsmouth, Ohio about an issue with the engine. I was told by Andy Schmidt and his Honda-certified technicians that the problem is the same as the one that is coming out for a recall in January 2024. I parked my Odyssey until January and took it back to Glockner Honda expecting it to be a part of the recall. I have waited for 6 months for it to be included or for Honda to agree to repair the vehicle. I have been told on multiple occasions by certified technicians and management at Glockner Honda that this is a manufacturing defect and they do not understand why it is not part of the recall. The recall is the same year, made, model, and problem as I am experiencing. I finally got verbal confirmation (Honda refuses to put it in writing) that they will not cover the full cost of the repair. I provided an estimate of the repair to the manufacturing defect to them from Glockner Honda. I demand that they pay for this defect. Also, they refuse to provide any information or explanation as to why my particular 2019 Honda Odyssey is not part of the recall. Please make them pay for this defect in the manufacturing process. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | POWER TRAIN | The transmission on this van has acceleration issues. When trying to accelerate the van will on occasion have hesitation of a few seconds. This has left me in situations when merging where I have almost been hit. The acceleration at times is not responsive. I’ve noticed it when trying to apply urgent acceleration, such as trying to cross an intersection, and when I accelerate a little, let off the gas, and accelerate again. A Google search finds many people with the same issue. This is a major safety concern since the van does not apply acceleration when expected and can leave a person vulnerable to being hit. This has been happening to me for years but I didn’t know I could report this. Happened today. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The vehicle was purchased new at the time of acquisition. Please help. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| May 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Nothing has happened, yet, but we've received multiple recall notices from Honda who refuses to fix the problems. They keep claiming they don't have the parts, and it's been six months since you issued the recall. Why do we have to keep driving a car that could fail at any time? Why don't you force them to fix all the recalled cars? The recall number is 23V-858. Thank you for whatever you can do to get Honda to fix our Odyssey. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | POWER TRAIN | Honda Odyssey 2019 slips during highway speed and has no acceleration while the engines rpm goes up. Very dangerous at highway speed and then will have a large clank noise and go into gear. Honda doesn't acknowledge the issue with their 9 speed transmission but their are tons of complaints on the web with the same issue I have. It happens at lower speed too at stop lights and is a safety concern for me when my wife is driving out children around. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | SUSPENSION | While driving on highway rear Left spring which is a ver heavy duty spring broke into pieces without any accident but could have caused catastrophic event. This needs to be investigated as per even dealer said this is very unusual , this sprng coil never breaks and could cause death. This is a metallic issue with Mattel. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the tailgate will not open. Yes, I can have it inspected. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This limits the ability to use the tailgate. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I have brought the car into the dealership to fix the tailgate. The motor was replaced and they stated they sealed the back to prevent water from getting in. It has since broken again and currently it will not open. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The first time it broke the dealership inspected and fixed the problem. It is now broken again and I haven't brought it into the dealership yet. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? I got a tailgate error multiple times, also the battery was draining really quickly - which I think was due to the trunk issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Water leaked into the back of my van through the plastic molding at the top of the lift gate. I was told the water ruined the control module. The part I was told would rrun $850 to replace. I looked the control module online at a gunuine Honda parts catalogue & it's $121. They tell me there is no guarantee that this will work. If it does not, then they recommend the replacement of the rear wiring harness which lists at the same Honda parts site fo $2,101.64 but this dealership wants to charge $8,500 plus $900 for new carpeting. Looking at the auto blogs, it seems that this is a recurring issue with the 2018-2019 Odysseys. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,LANE DEPARTURE | I'm experiencing several error messages on my 2019 Honda Odyssey, which include issues with the Brake System, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Auto High-Beam, Road Departure Mitigation System, Collision Mitigation System, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). These warnings are not only persistent but raise significant safety concerns, especially during instances where sudden braking is necessary due to a vehicle abruptly cutting in front. The constant illumination of the Brake System lights is particularly alarming as it casts doubt on the reliability of the brakes in critical situations. It appears that these problems are not isolated, as other Honda owners have reported similar safety risks affecting both drivers and passengers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Issue Fuel Pump Recall Report: My vehicle was identified as an affected vehicle of this recall. The designated honda service shop failed to share the recall details when the specified engine stall was reported to the dealership at check in. When the vehicle engine stopped prior to the incident automatic sliding doors also stopped working and one week prior to this the audio and electrical outage on the media console also went out. All of the cracking and sound issues including inability to connect a phone properly via Bluetooth (no handsfree capability) , the screen going black and or just blue without any display. Cruise control has never worked properly and fails to adjust speed or stop accelerating so basically has never been operable. Dealership and Honda recall campaign has failed its clients tremendously on this one. I have zero trust in them or their interest to do the right thing. The safety concern remains: no reliability on speed acceleration on cruise control capabilities, no reliability on reverse cam or view quality, automatic door malfunction not sensing obstruction within a safe time to avoid impact, failure to avoid on coming traffic if the vehicle stalls in the way of high speed traffic or in route on freeway. Safety issue: the failed communication of the recall never ever shared by the dealership while vehicle was brought in for oil changes with diligence. Failure by the dealership to note the explained concerns as part of the nationally acclaimed recall (not in compliance). The dealership not seeing the direct safety obstruction of my (the drivers safety) and passenger safety (minor children) is subject to harm "DAILY" on account of the manufactured malfunctional processes. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | Getting the following error messages on 2019 Odyssey: - Brake system lights - Lane keeping assist problem (LKAS); - Auto high-beam problem (A) - Road departure mitigation system problem - Collision mitigation system problem - Adaptive cruise control problem (ACC) - Brake system lights These errors have caused safety issues, especially when someone comes in front of the car randomly or cuts you off. Also, the Brake system lights being on always make you think the brakes will not work when needed. These errors seem to be a known issue with Honda car owners putting drivers at risk and also the passengers. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | The vehicle's tailgate stopped working and a series of distracting alerts repeatedly popped up on the instrument panel. Upon inspection, the liftgate control module had a significant amount of corrosion on the pins and on the circuit board itself, despite the surrounding area seeming dry. Replacement of the control module did not completely fix the problem because the connector pins are corroded and dirty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2024 | POWER TRAIN | When car stops and Am I go to accelerate. The pedal. is dead and won't respond. Take. 3 seconds for it to accelerate. And if you're foot in an accelerator. it will take off and squill the tires. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
