Seems to be some kind of electrical problem drawing the power down. Two batteries on a SUV with this mileage is not normal.

May 2023 STRUCTURE The paint under the rear tailgate at the top is gone and surface rust has already started to come thru. Honda has had issues with several models of CRV’s with different model years resulting in recalls. This model is having the same issue. The owners manual does show a 5 year warranty no mileage for surface rust if it is a “ lack of craftsmanship “ but Honda is not wanting to stand behind this. I leased this vehicle new and bought it last year as a “certified pre owned “ which was supposed to start the new vehicle warranty over. Vehicle has never been in an accident. I know of at least one other person at my workplace with the same issue with his CRV.

Apr 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Air condition system. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I hear metal particles sound inside the AC system under the hood once the car is stopped, which I assume may cause the combustible r1234yf refrigerant to set on fire, particularly in states like Texas and Arizona. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Dealer asking me to change the leaking hoses and independent service center asking me to change the compressor but no one tries to resolve the primary issue. Already spent nearly $500 to diagnose it, so tired of spending anymore money on that. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Not yet, I'm registering it here first. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning but it all started after the refrigerant was empty.

Apr 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The sunroof exploded while driving on the highway. I was traveling about 60-65 miles per hour. Luckily the slide was closed otherwise glass would have showered down upon the driver and passenger. I took the vehicle into the dealership. They inspected and sent the quote to my insurance claims adjuster so payment could be issued for the repairs. There was no warning signs or messages prior to it exploding.

Apr 2023 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE We have a 2019 Honda CRV. The car won't start. When we try to start the car, the following things hapen: 1. "Electric Parking Brake Problem" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 2. "Brake System Problem" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 3. "Tire Pressure Low" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 4. "To Start Engine..." light flahes on the dashboard 5. "BRAKE" light remains on 6. More warning lights on the left side of the dashboard remain on 7. Car makes clicking noises. No one has been hurt. The car was at rest in the garage when the problem was discovered. The car is waiting to be towed to the dealer for evaluation and repair. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. Two days prior to the incident, the brakes briefly pulsated for no particular reason while the car was moving. No harm or damage was caused.

Apr 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Was driving on a residential street at 30 mph. Pavement was dry and clear of any road damage. No vehicle was in front of me, for at least three blocks. My car beeped repeatedly and a BRAKE warning flashed several times, followed by the vehicle automatically braking , hard enough to toss my 50 pound dogs around in the back seats, but not hard enough, long enough to stop the car. After that single application of the brakes, the audio and visual alarms stopped, the car released the brake, and I was able to drive on unimpeded. If this had occurred with another vehicle behind me, or the roads were icy, or if I were traveling at higher speeds, as on a highway, I feel the vehicle might have caused an accident.

Messages indicating that the ABS and the brakes had ceased to operate as needed were displayed. Additionally, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to start after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Apr 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE When driving my Honda 2019 CRV approximately 35 mph on a busy, multi-lane boulevard, the AEB system flashed 'BRAKE' several times, and spontaneously came to a sudden and complete stop. There were no vehicles in front of me. The truck behind me had to suddenly stop to avoid a rear-end collision. The weather was dry and sunny. This sudden braking happened at least 2 previous times in my neighborhood driving 25 mph or less when approaching the same intersection and stop sign. There were no other cars present in any instance. The weather was also dry and sunny on these days. Today, the vehicle is being towed to a Honda dealership for service.

Apr 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE My daughter and I took the CRT 2019 for service to Mahwah Honda, NJ. On 3/31/2013. I was concerned about the sudden opening of the moonroof that would not close manually. They told me that the unit would cost $2000 to replace and have forced the moonroof closed. The same evening the car started to blink brake light even though there were no vehicles around. The car then jerked to a sudden jolting halt. Luckily the traffic was light or it could have led to a chain collision. I would like the issue to be handled immediately. It is the only car I rely on. The car has over 46,000 miles so it is beyond the manufacturer’s warranties. I disagree. Honda model CRT for 2019 have this safety issue and should address the problem forthwith. I request your help and guidance on this critical safety issue.

Mar 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER While driving onto a highway, 55 degrees and partly sunny out, approaching the on ramp to 95, we heard a loud POP like a gunshot out of no where and then we were covered in shattered glass from the sunroof. Glass everywhere, all over the driver, passenger and 3 children in the back seat. No other vehicles, trucks or over pass near by and nothing hit the car. After making it home with a tarp on the car, I brought it to the local Honda dealership. Honda does not see this as an issue with their sunroof and will not cover the glass or the cost. They said this never happens and it would not just “shatter” by itself.

Mar 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 15 mph, the brakes were inadvertently applied without being depressed and the vehicle's driver assistance technology warning was heard. The vehicle had an unknown warning light illuminated on the dash. The vehicle was driven to the contacts school and was able to restart. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 70,322.

Mar 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The power to the car can be turned off while the transmission is in drive. I believe that the power button should only work when the car is in park. When the car was pulled into a driveway and still in drive, the car was turned off accidentally without shifting to park. The driveway is on a slight decline so after the car was left on its own it started rolling down the incline into the street. I have not reported this to a dealer as I wasn't sure where to report it.

Mar 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On the way home from work, my wife's CRV suddenly cut off in traffic. It wouldn't resart, multiple dash warnings came on. I used a scanner on the scene, and got trouble code 0087 (fuel rail pressure low). Multiple Honda models, including ours, have had fuel pump failure causing a dangerous situation like ours, stopped in middle of busy intersection. Our VIN number shows no recalls, but I feel like it's no coincidence that we have the exact same problem. Honda has a bulletin about swelling in the impeller/vanes inside pump causing it to lock up, and require early replacement. Our vehicle has less than 52,000 miles on it. I have owned about a dozen Hondas over the years, and none have ever needed a fuel pump. If this had happened 5 minutes prior, my wife would have been on the interstate, and in more danger. There were never any symptoms or warnings prior to this incident. The dealer has the car now.

Mar 2023 STRUCTURE I've raised two tickets with ticket numbers 13709173 and 13719701to Honda customer care, the issue is a rust spot on the trunk, there has been no external damage on the trunk and the issues seems to have originated from under the panel. I have been receiving no support from the Honda customer care team and the dealership the dealership was interested in knowing that if I bought this vehicle from them which I did not because I bought this vehicle from Pennsylvania and I moved cross country last year. I took the vehicle to the workshop and the service advisor was too keen on proving me wrong that this is an external damage to which I proved to him that it is not. Honda corporate customer care is also making excuses citing that I am the second owner, which I am not I'm raising this concern on behalf of my wife who is the first owner of this vehicle. Honda restaurant warranty clearly states that if the rust Originates from under the paint it is going to be covered under the rust and corrosion warranty. I'll attach some pictures here and NHTSA be the judge of if this resp what is caused by external damage or the rust originated from within?

Mar 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Today traveling south after work on 3rd St. near the railroad tracks in Bismarck, North Dakota the brakes applied themselves to a complete stop with an orange BRAKE warning and beeping sound. I was traveling slowly (<20mph) in case the street was icy on the down hill slope to the Front Street traffic light. There was a pickup in front of me, but it was over a full car length away. Thankfully the car behind me was far enough back to not rear end me. We purchased The 2019 Honda CR-V Touring after leasing it for two and one half years for the advanced technology which we enjoyed having. I do not feel safe knowing this could randomly happen again.

Mar 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE The collision mitigation system causes the vehicle to stop suddenly in the middle of the street. This happens when there is nothing in the street and when there is a pot hole cover. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership, but since this happens randomly, they were not able to reproduce the issue. The information screen goes blank and shuts off at random intervals. The first few times I took the vehicle to the dealership for repair, they reset the screen and then eventually they replaced the screen. The issue has continued to
