| Mar 2022 | POWER TRAIN | when I bought the vehicle in October2018, I have taken the vehicle back to the dealership multiple occasions and they refuse to fix this issue. The transmission shifts from first to second gear or second to first gear is clunky, jerks forward and shifts without warning. While sitting at a stoplight, the vehicle will sometimes lurch forward several inches without warning even with your foot on the brake. Furthermore when accelerating between first and second year it's sluggish and takes several seconds to shift from first to second the engine Revs high. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2022 | POWER TRAIN | Hard shift on take off from 1st to 2nd gear and while driving around random hard erratic shifting. Feels like pickup is getting rear ended. Have take in to Gregg Lair in Amarillo TX and they have reset shift points to no avail. I talked to head service writer and he stated that GM had a problem with their transmission but did not have a remedy for them. He advised to drive for about 3,000 miles and we have and still have the issue. We have been back multiple times and Gregg Lair states that it is still in learn mode after over 10,00 miles. I am a mechanic by trade and in my opinion there is a design flaw with the transmission and/or they have the wrong transmission fluid for the design. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | POWER TRAIN | The 2019 GMC SIERRA I own shifts extremely hard from a stopped position or when changing from reverse to drive. The shift is so forceful, that it feels like I have been struck by another vehicle. The overall feeling is that the vehicle is not safe to drive and it is not a reliable mode of transportation. The delayed shift, vibration and jerk, makes this vehicle a hazard to drive, as the ability to predict the issue is impossible. There are no other warning lights, or messages prior to the error. Online forums show this to be a known issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | ENGINE | My 2019 GMC Sierra was traveling on the highway at 70MPH. The oil cooler line detached, and the truck shut down telling me to get over now. There was oil everywhere. I am shocked it did not catch fire. there was also 7 quarts of oil on the highway I called the dealer, and they are well aware of this problem. They were sorry but there is nothing we can do for you. They told me they do 1-2 oil cooler lines a month. [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | 2019 Sierra 1500 slt Defective front camera surround only 51,000 miles. Forward collision warning not work, lane departure warning not work, intellibeam head lights not work. Replace camera with labor at the dealer cost me $860.00 dolls. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | Transmission jerks, slams, forces a feeling of being rear-ended, delayed acceleration with sudden engagement causing uncontrolled acceleration. I've had it looked at every time I've taken it into the dealership for regular maintenance. They haven't been able to reproduce it as it only happens once, first time after not driving it for a while. No warning lamps or messages ever appear. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2022 | ENGINE | Every time I start the engine I get loud ticking noises. This is Lifter noise! I took it into the Dealership and they said the noise was normal. GM is known for having this Lifter problem in the heads. This can destroy my engine, causing premature wear on the lifters themselves. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2021 | POWER TRAIN | transmission shudder, jerk, high engine rev and transmission look ing for a gear to go in then it jerks. traded this truck to gmc to get rid of it. cost me extra money that i would not have spent otherwise. only had 22,000 mi on it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2021 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | While driving on a two lane road I proceeded to pass a slow moving vehicle, after accelerating from 45 MPH to 60 MPH my Check Engine light, Service Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Service Electronic Brake System lights illuminated on my display. My RPMs increased before shifting gears and I noticed a significant loss in power. Thankfully there was not an accident when the incident occurred; however, if an oncoming vehicle or bad weather it could have been a different outcome. I took my vehicle to a GMC dealer to diagnose the issue where I found out my lifters for my valves are bad and my fourth cylinder is inoperable along with a bad CAM. A new vehicle at 65K miles on it should not be having mechanical issues that can pose a danger while driving, putting others and my safety at risk. GM needs to reevaluate the products and materials their using to build engines to ensure there are no flaws starting with the valve lifters. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2021 | SERVICE BRAKES | Vehicle had the "Service ESC" warning come one along with the warning of brake failure do no exceed 43 miles per hour. Called the dealer to discuss options and was told that I could not get in for 1 month..... For a critical failure and known issue this is unfathomable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2021 | STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES | i started the vehicle messages popped up stating service power steering drive with care, esc drive with care. at that time i had no power steering and the brakes were spongy. i then drove a short distance stopped turned off the engine and restarted with the same issues. drove home on the next day everything had reset. i then went and set a appointment with the dealer, they found nothing wrong no tripped codes nothing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2021 | SEAT BELTS,AIR BAGS | System that failed was the air bag system , Yes it can be available for inspection with notification, My family and friend were put at risk when the air bag system deployed in a parked car and seat belt restraints were deployed pulling them back into the seats , not moving and no other cars around it or near it went off Randomly it was NOT IN AN ACCIDENT , injuring the 3 occupants. Case 9-6893265248, General Motors Product Assistance Claims (PAC) There has been a police report filled with local officials, I don't think the dealership has inspected , Buy recommendation of GM, since this is none accident related to the air bag system going off randomly, Very freighting to me and my family. No warning lamps no indication of anything wrong with the vehicle, prior to incident, And one of the boys could not exit the car due to the seat belts being cinched down on him during the air bag explosion. Incident happened 8/22/2021 at about 10:15 to 10:30 AM A week latter we are still waiting on answers from general motors as to what happened , This vehicle has never been in an accident , And we have all the service records from the dealership , The only place it has been serviced, GM has download data from the computers, And we have asked for copies of those data files as well, We do have all the service records as well should you need them. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 3 | Unknown |

| May 2021 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power with the check engine warning light intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that on most occasions, he would be able to restart the vehicle and resume normal driving soon after failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer on 4 separate occasions and each time the contact was given a different diagnosis. Despite the several diagnoses, the failure persisted after each visit. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and each time referred him back to the same dealer. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. Went online and inquired about this problem and there's thousands of post and complaints about this problem, even on a GM site there's a PI investigation about this problem, why doesn't GM just do a recall to fix a problem they know about.
