Nov 2022 POWER TRAIN Just purchased the truck less than a month ago, with 32k miles on it. On a trip to PA. The vehicles transmission started to shift hard and not downshift at all, and or shift into neutral. I made it to a cord dealership and had to leave it sit a week for repairs. Upon picking it up I was told that the model transmissions have a known issue and there isnt a fix, all they could do was drain the fluid and reprogram the computer. I drove approx 200 miles and lost the same functions in the transmission.

Nov 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Every time I start my vehicle 2 error messages appear on the instrument cluster saying crash dectection camera has malfunction and that crash detection has been disabled. Ford dealership says they can’t fix it and that I am stuck with it like that. They have tried blaming it on safelite for replacing the windshield with a lower quality windshield.

Oct 2022 POWER TRAIN I purchased a 2019 Ford F150 2.7l Ecoboost with 10speed transmission in May 2022 and it only had 19,000 miles on it. When I first bought it, it seemed to drive fine, but less than 3000 miles later the gears started shifting really hard, especially 3rd through 5th gear. I took it to my local dealer and they reset the PCM module and said to drive it because it has an adaptive transmission that it would have to relearn driving habits. Well, shortly after I was on the interstate doing 75mph on cruise control in 10th gear, the truck shifted all the way down to 1st gear, went to limp mode, then revved rpms and went back to 8th gear then wrench came on the dash light. This truly could've been a bad situation and possible accident if I wasn't able to get over to safety lane. I took it to the dealer the next week and they reset the computer again and cleaned valve body. The vehicle still has hard shifts between 3rd and 5th gears, although not quiet as harsh. Ford needs to issue a recall on the 2019 Ford F150s with the 10r80 transmissions or figure it out soon. I'm afraid there is going to be a serious accident, if one hasn't happened already, if these transmissions are not fixed soon. Several states already have class action lawsuits about this particular transmission.

Oct 2022 POWER TRAIN The transmission on my 2019 Ford F150 drops from seventh gear to first gear and out of gear on the freeway which causes a health and safety hazard. On the freeway I was almost rear ended when I lost all power to the truck. I have taken it to Ford. The first two times they said it was a computer glitch. The third time I was told to let the truck warm up. This all started on Sep 11, 2021 and has just gotten worse over time.

Sep 2022 ENGINE The oil is disappearing, I have no idea where it’s going, the local dealer says they don’t know where it’s going. If it gets sent to the catalytic converter it’s going to mess it up and pollute. I’m looking online and i see that a lot of people with the v8 engine are having the same problem.

Sep 2022 POWER TRAIN The vehicle has a 10 speed transmission which is designed to skip gears in a smooth fashion while accelerating. The transmission has been "chirping" when shifting from 1st to 3rd and very hard shifting from 3rd to 4th or 5th gear and also from 6th to 7th gear. Now the transmission is often not engaging and slipping out of gear when shifting out of 3rd and into 4th/5th and simply disengaging and going into a neutral state. This causes the vehicle to lose power and it will not accelerate. This is a very dangerous situation especially when attempting to merge onto the highway, turning left or any time traffic is behind me and the transmission disengages. This has occured on three separate occasions from 9/12/22 to 9/16/22. I have attempted to have the vehicle inspected by a Ford dealer and the earliest appointment is Jan 3rd 2023!! Another Ford dealer stated I could drop off the vehicle and the diagnostics check would take 3-5 days and they do not provide a loaner vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to or during the transmission slipping out of gear.

Sep 2022 POWER TRAIN I am getting engine codes that say my cam shaft sensors are bad. I replaced cam shaft sensors but the engine continually loses power, shifts hard, lurches and unexpectedly downshifts. Yesterday, complete loss of power on the highway and I was forced to put transmission into Manual and shift manually to get to a safe location. Placing truck in Reverse from Park causes a loud clunk and jerk backwards. I do not know at any given time if I will be able to safely pull out into traffic.

Sep 2022 ENGINE I purchased a 2019 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Ford in Panama City, Florida in 2020, along with a bumper-to-bumper warranty through The Ford Motor Company, covering the car until 140,000 miles. Over the last 20 months my truck has been back to AutoNation at least 5 times for various mechanical issues. To their credit, each time the Service Department was eventually able to resolve each issue. During this week's 4.5 hour visit to the Service Center I was informed that my engine is faulty (Google "F150 oil consumption problem") and needs to be replaced; it survived less than 80,000 miles. Replacing an engine is a hassle, but I have a warranty and Ford is a trustworthy American company that makes America proud. Unfortunately, I was told that Ford is not allowing any existing customers to get on a list for replacing my particular engine (5.0L V8). Ok, but I have a warranty through Ford . That has to be worth something, because it cost me +$3,000, and Ford sticks by its products and their commitments/promises can be believed and they told me it covers a rental car if there is ever anything that takes more than a day to fix on my truck. Surprise, the warranty apparently only provides a rental car for a maximum of 5 days, and I could be waiting for 12 months or longer. No offer of loaner, a way to expedite the repair, someone to call, any kind of help…just, “sorry, we’ll let you know if Ford starts letting people back on the list, until then, you’re on your own.” The options provided by Ford: 1) Drive with your check engine light on (engine sometimes stalling) and top off the synthetic oil every week or so until the engine inevitably fails 2) Rent a car and pay out of pocket for all but 5 days for a potential +12-month delay for Ford to fix my truck 3) Shine a light on their dishonest business practices in hopes that either a regulatory authority or enough public shame will force Ford to stand by their word and their product. This is disappointing, frustrating, unsafe,

Sep 2022 SEAT BELTS While driving I noticed my wife's seat belt was not fastened, and there was no alarm chime or icon on dash alerting of incident. I then undid the drivers side and had the same results. I had been having issues with the ac leaking on inside at passenger floor. I took the truck to five star ford dealership for repairs. The ac evaporator and carpet was replaced. They said they issue with the seatbelts was not repairable unless a code was thrown. I was told it wouldn't cause any issues with air bags, but I'm not comfortable with that. The dealership said they would contact Ford and see if there was anything that could be done. After AC issues that has been ongoing several times now I believe moisture got somewhere it shouldn't have. I kept telling them what if a child was in seat and undid seatbelt and then an accident occurred. They said the airbags should still work. I dont trust that. This could be a very serious issue. I was told I could buy a new truck. I can't afford to buy a new truck every couple of years on retirement. The dealership said they believe the issue is in one of four modules but Ford will not authorize them to just start replacing modules without error codes being thrown.

Sep 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER,LANE DEPARTURE I've been dealing with a vibration/shaking in my factory driver side mirror at high speeds and on bumpy roads since I got my truck in May 2019 (over three years). No issue on the passenger side. I've dealt with it off and on with the dealer as time and life have allowed. Currently I'm on my fourth mirror and have a case manager from Ford corporate. I have attached some of my correspondence with them for your reference. My problem is that the driver side shaking is very bad. It's distracting at high speeds and at night when headlights are shining behind you, it can be like a light show in the corner of your eye while driving. After much trial and error, I believe the vibration is coming from the articulation point between where the arm that comes off the truck connects with the arm that supports the mirror. Where it folds in basically. There isn't anything that can be adjusted, that particular area is all enclosed. I'm on my second dealer after the first claimed the mirror was fine. I took the truck for a drive with the foreman at the new dealer who confirmed he could see the issue. They ordered me a new mirror again and after installing it sure enough the new one shakes just like the prior ones have. The dealer said they had a regional service tech from Ford drive it after the new mirror went on and this person told them the shaking was normal. I'm talking with the case manager from Ford also and they are investigating what to do since there's clearly (in my opinion) some sort of defect with this part but no recall or fix has been made to my knowledge. I may be elevated to their legal team. At issue currently, I have asked my case manager from Ford whether they can have someone such as an engineer or safety team examine the part and assess whether the mirror design is faulty but they have no one in their company. The case Manager claims to not know if Ford has a team like this. The dealerships didn't design the part so they can't assess whether it's flawed.

Sep 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER There is a defect in design of this vehicle. When using the Air Conditioning the passenger side floor gets extremely wet from the evaporator core drain. This is due to the drain being to short, and gets the sound protective sponge rubber soaking wet. What happens is this sponge gets wet and pours into the passenger floor area of the vehicle. It was only noticed after I took ownership from my father. The floor carpet backing and carpet have a mold issue now which is a health issue. What needs to happen is the drain needs an extension to get past where it dumps out now. This will solve the issue.
