Feb 2025 VISIBILITY/WIPER Wiper transmission corroded and seized causing it to burn out my wiper motor. Fixed and looked at by local ford dealer and issue is the seized wiper transmission but not under the recall numbers for the same issue in other f150 (2015-2020 f150 assembled in Canada) which mine is. How can I get reimbursed for the cost which should be covered under that recall.

Feb 2025 STEERING The vehicle steering wheel turns by itself, without warning, causing me to fight the steering wheel to maintain proper control and direction. I reported the issue to my mechanic and had him inspect and paid $129 to have a full alignment. After a road test, the problem still exists. The mechanic deemed the problem as "dangerous to drive". After contacting ford the recall referenced 24S45. supposedly Ford has yet to come up with a fix.

Feb 2025 POWER TRAIN Have a 2019 Ford F-150 that began having hesitation issues at approximately in late 2023. Hesitation issues began occuring when the vehicle would sit for hours, then being started and allowed to warm for 2 to 4 minutes before putting it into gear. Once put into gear the vehicle would hesitate, then slip into gear, then seemed to slip into neutral and back into gear. At first the hesitation was very slight and seemed to occur more on inclines than flat surface. By mid 2024 the hesitation became more like a slight bucking and then slip into neutral for several seconds before slipping into gear. This caused safety issues when taking off from intersections and merging into traffic as the vehicle was unable to maintain acceleration and gain the necessary speed to merge, causing other vehicles behind to immediately slow or slam their foot on the brake. When taking off from a stop, the vehicle would slip into neutral, causing the rpms to rev to 6k + and then slipping back into gear, causing the wheels to immediatly spin faster and "spin out", then the vehicle would begin gaining speed but still experience hesitation for off and off for several minutes. Took the vehicle to a friend who is a retired Ford Service Manager who "guessed" that the problem was an EBT and sent me to the local Ford Dealer for proper diagnosis. The service tech at Ford called and said the truck needed a new transmission but at first did not explain why. While the vehicle was at the dealership getting a new transmission, we asked Ford about the transmission recall and he explained there wasn't one and then explained that the issue with our transmission was the CFD Drum. The service receipt we received from Ford at time of payment does not explain the reason for the transmission failure..just the retired service manager's guess. The mileage on the vehicle when the issue began was approximately 75k. The mileage at replacement was 88k.

Feb 2025 POWER TRAIN Evidently there is a problem with the CDF clutch cylinder. There is a bushing that will slip and can cause delayed or rough transitioning into gears. This is on the 10R80 transmission according Ford. We had no idea of this issue till we brought our truck in to Ford to have the system flushed. Which then the service tech asked had we had any issues and we said it has a delay when shifting into gears sometimes as well as when we put it in reverse it seems like it doesn't fully engage and and then when it does engage it is like a jolt and the truck goes at a faster pace since we was pressing the gas thinking we did not give it enough gas to go into reverse. Multiple times my wife has said that it does this when she is backing out of our driveway into the road also while she is backing out of her parking space at school. What is bad is there are no warning lights on the truck for this issue. There are multiple recalls on this transmission that involve updating the computer settings for the trasmission but the real issue is they have not done a recall for this issue which would stop the bushing from sliding causing the delayed/harsh shifts. Since this is an engineering design issue and potential Hazzard while drive this should be a manufacture recall. Ford has already resigned the cylinder in 2022 to address this issue but anything manufactured before that is suppect.

Jan 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE The vehicle developed a grinding noise in the engine soon after i lost all power and brakes while leaving my driveway i thought I was going to crash into my neighbors fence. I had zero braking function out of no where ans no check engine light, it came back after about 30 seconds being off. Then as I was driving down the road I lost all power and I could not accelerate or anything in the middle of the road again no check engine light came on it was just an instantaneous power loss took about 45 seconds to re-engage. I've lost power on the freeway while driving as well.

Jan 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Since 2021 my rear view camera has been intermittently working. It is Sept of 2019 build. It seems it was just before the recalls for 20C19/20V575. The dealer has offered to charge me to look at it but it falls extremely close to the recalls for the other cameras.

Jan 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE vehicle started @ around -15 F, drove it for 15 minutes, parked and turned it off. 90 minutes later with temps around -5 to -10 F it would not turn over. Messages on dash included : full accessory power available, and something about a steering assist fault. Jumping battery did not help. Vehicle hauled to shop. Shop disconnected battery and reconnected it and vehicle started. Fault codes were cleared and vehicle ran without creating new fault codes. If this fault had occurred in the middle of nowhere without assistance available the computer going into no start mode when the battery was not dead could easily have resulted in death from the cold weather. The vehicle computer should have a reset option which can be triggered by any operator.

Jan 2025 POWER TRAIN The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the power train warning light had illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while her husband was driving 65-70 MPH on a mountainous road while the contact was occupying the front passenger's side seat, the transmission was stuck in a gear. The contact stated that her husband informed her that upon depressing an unknown pedal, the pedal was stiff and failed to travel down. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle started swerving, and the vehicle nearly swerved off the road. The contact's husband was able to regain control of the vehicle. The contact's husband was able to pull to the side of the road. The power train warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where the contact was informed that the failure was related to the ten-speed transmission. The contact stated that upon restarting the vehicle, the power train warning light was no longer illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a transmission CAD drum defect. The dealer informed the contact that it was a factory defect. The dealer determined that the transmission needed to be taken apart to replace the CAD drum, or the entire transmission needed to be replaced with a new transmission that did not have the factory defect. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, but the manufacturer offered minimal assistance in covering the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Ford TSB Number: 22-2428. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

Jan 2025 POWER TRAIN Transmission failure. The transmission skips gears when accelerating. Which is especially not good when you are trying to merge into traffic and the vehicle lurches you as it skips gears. Had it diagnosed at the Ford Dealership and they are saying the truck needs an entire new transmission. Skipping in 2nd-3rd gear and while driving in 10th gear it will drop. We purchased this vehicle used and it now has 103k miles on it. Because we are over a 100k Ford will not help us replace the transmission. I am not sure why there is no recall when this is a reported issue (that I wish I knew of before purchasing the truck).
